After you press 2x on the programming button, yes it is normal for the evo all to flash 1x a second, you NEED to turn the vehicle's key to the ON/Run position ( no need to start vehicle) and if all other connections are correct the evo all should flash 10x fast the red led, then turn off the vehicle's key to the OFF position.

If the red led does not flash fast 10x, check your light blue/black connection to the data wire on the immobilizer connector

On vehicles without the steering lock module that is the result. There is also a warning advising this on the website along with in the flasher when setting up the module that the vehicle must be equipped with a steering lock module for take over to function properly. https://fortin.ca/en/vehicles/acura/mdx/2018-push-to-start/compatibility/

I would suggest turning on option D3 - door open shut down and manually restarting the vehicle after you enter it.

When you attempted valet mode were you able to enter and exit it successfully? I.E. you made the led turn on solid, then turned it off? I ask because it almost sounds like your unit has either no power or not ground.

Also by default keypad locking is off, did you enable this in the antenna?

The evo-all is not a remote starter and will not remote start your vehicle.

For that car you would need the following parts for rmeote start:

1- evo-one

2- rf kit

3- flash link updater

remote start from the factory remote is not supported.

I installed two of these on my vehicles in the past and everything worked flawlessly. I love this product.

However, today I installed this on my coworkers 2011 MDX (Acura) regular key, evo all, with T-Harness. I made all the connections as per the instructions. The hardest part was getting steering wheel column plastic off. HAHA

I pressed the button and plugged in the 6 pin connector and it just continues to flash thru the colors. It never turns red like the instructions say. I did a trouble shooting form on the website and it says the firmware is out of date. So I just bought a flash link updater.

Is there anything I missed??

Are there any hints to let me know about for the updater when I get it?

that 1 extra flash you are getting at the end is a diagnostic code from the remote starter. The RED LED on the SIDE of the module would react the same way.

1 flash = module sees brake active
3 flash = runtime expired or shut down by transmitter
4 flash = valet mode enabled
5 flash = hood open detected.

1 flash is brake detected as on. Verify that you do not have a burnt brake light or rear parking light. If the lights have been changed to LED lights, that is also a common problem as they tend to leek voltage into the brake line thus canceling out remote starters.

I would suggest calling into tech support so we can diagnose the antenna to determine if it has been damaged.

Be sure to be at the vehicle with access to module, flasher and rf kit.

I have disconnecte the battery in my personal vehicle before and re conncted it and had no issue with my personal 942 remote. Unless a voltage spike occured or the battery was connected in the wrong sequence, I dont see why it would be damaged.

Go by pin position. Security light on yours is blue/orange and the interupt on the 5 pin keyless module is blue/red.

Wire color can vary sometimes.

The evo-all does not have any aux outputs.

The installer is correct those features are not supported on that year, make and model.

The evo-one has 1 Aux output which can be physically spliced into the vehicles exisiting wiring for defrost or heated seats (if applicable).

You would need a remote starter along with the honda sl3 for remote starting.

If your vehicle does not start with the key then the SL3 will never program as its ment to be installed in a properly functioning vehicle.

Hey Robb,

So it only starts intermittently, evidently "FOB in the car" had nothing to do with it.....it will start about 20% of the time, and in that 20% it is usually only on the second crank. Battery is 5 months old and the lowest voltage during testing was 12.7v. Being intermittent, I guessed that the harness had a bad connection somewhere as the seller that I bought this from sells it as a "kit" and does the few alterations/ connections needed for the specific vehicle before shipping it out. All of his connections were correct, so I clipped his connections and re-terminated them. It seemed as if that did the trick, as it started 3 times in a row yesterday out and about but then it would just crank and not start again later in the day. I was at home, so I checked voltage again with my multimeter and my battery charger.....both showing 12.8v. Just to be sure I threw a 2 amp charger on the battery and let it charge....it didn't take much, but it did not start again with a freshly charged battery at 13.1v. This is driving me crazy and has taken 2 Sunday's and a Monday of troubleshooting with no results. Please help!

You only do this if you have a REV1 harness.

You cut the yellow wire on the male portion of the t-harness and connect D1 to one end and D3 to the other end.

wires are correct being evo A10 light blue tied into data on pin 2 of vehicle transponder plug, and D6 white/ red to vehicle side of cut pin 5 transponder wire, and D4 white/ green to plug side on pin5 of cut vehicle transponder wire.

If your t-harness is a REV.2 you will need to cut a wire as shown in the guide on page 3 using the green/red and green/white wires, ALSO, the white wire in the main 6 pin harness with the large gauge wires will need to be cut and isolate as also shown in the guide #64961
