Hello,

Yes the R-Link and flash link updater will both be required in order to program the module and not have to sacrifice a key.

Evo-vwt1 combo will inlucde the tb-vw.

There is no solution that does not require giving up a key.

Thank you. Based on the instructions in the programming procedure, I thought I should only be connecting the 4-pin data link to do the programming and then plug in the rest of the connectors once that was complete.

Modules dated 2019 - cannot be configured at the flash link updater.

If you wish to flash or configure a evo please use a module with a manufacture date of 2020+ with a qr code on the label.

What is the S/N number on the back of the module?

When using the audt2 harness the rfa-2a is not needed, simply plug the antenna directly into the blue female connector on the audt2 harness.

- when you say reflash do you mean you re loaded the firmware into the unit? Or did you simply turn the options on and click save options?

For that vehicle you would need the following parts for remote start:

1- evo-one-942 or evo-one-442 or evo-one-441

2- flash link updater (if you already have one you do not need a 2nd)

3- 1x vehicle key

You do not need an authorized dealer to make it work.

However you do need a flash link updater to flash and configure the module, flash link updater can be purchased online through multple online retailers.

You could also try contacting local garages in your area that install remote starters to inqiure if they would be willing to flash your unit for you.

Hello,

To remote stop the engine using the 942 remote you must press (+) followed by pressing and holding the start button.

The error message is from the key wrap since the car is started via the back up rf in the key without a battery, it is normal.

Yes evo-vwt1 for 2015 s3 as long as it is automatic transmission and push button start.

You will need the flash link updater, the module is not pre flashed, it is the isntallaters responsiblity to flash and configure the module.

The RFK442 is only used for keyless entry and remote starting, it does not replace the OEM keyfob, you will still need to carry on your person the OEM keyfob to permit normal starting of the vehicle.

Yes the evo-one or evo-one-lte and a flash link updater would work for remote start from the OEM remote or through the es lte app if you go with evo-one-lte.

Sounds like you missing power and ground if the unit does not light up.

If a t-harness was used with the evo-all you should be plugging in the black 4 pin connector with a clip into the rfa2a. Then plug in the evo-start-lte to the blue connector on the rfa2a, then plug the rfa2a into the evo-all module.

Looking at the supported features for this vehicle, window up and down is not supported. While it is in the app does not mean it will work. You can turn off the aux features under settings>terminal settings>function settings and simply toggle off the aux features.

1- Yes that is correct first program the evo-all to the vehicle, once all that is done you pair the evo start lte to the evo-all.

2- If im not mistaken on the aud2 harness there is a built in blue connector, this is what the evo start lte will plug directly into, no rfa2a needed in this case.

No it would not, you would simply need to program the new remotes to the system. The remote starter however may need updating depending how long ago this was installed.

Depending on the vehicle. Some vehicles take over sequence is simply unlock, once you unlock the car the vehicle does not look for the key and allows you to take over and drive away.

You can prevent this by turning on option D3 - door open shut down, this will cause you to re start the vehicle ensuring you have the key on you because other wise it will not re start.

Yes Fortin has been speaking directly with autoextra regarding the vehicle.

At this time it appears the vehicle is not the same as the one we have in Canada, SQ7 was not released here until 2020. This can happen when trying solutions developed on NA market vehicles in other markets. After all the testing that has been done with Autoextra at this time it is being reviewd as there is no immediate solution to the issue. A report has been submitted to egineering.

Thanks that's did it. We actually called the service line earlier today and a great tech walked us through the pairing process and it seems to be working now. Functions as it should I believe. Does not show fuel level and milage is only 0.7 miles. I realize now what you meant about the doors appear red when unlocked and actually appear open when open. I also have some inactive buttons on the screen like for the trunk but they don't seem to work. I may create another post for it but thanks for all your help. I appreciate it.

Did you sort this out? I just installed and have the same issue. If I wire it to run with my spare key in the vehicle it works but the install without sacrificing a key gives me key fob not found message in display. 2012 A7 here also.

I would inspect your work at this point, along with fuses, connectors, and harness routing, the vehicle should always start normally with the key.

You will need 3, 1 amp diodes. Normally found at any electronics store or auto parts store.

There is no t-harness for this vehicle, the entire installation must be manually spliced into the vehicles exisiting wiring.
