Hello,

Modules with a manufacture date of 2017 and older cannot be configured using the flash link or reset. Please use a unit with a manufcature date of 2018+.

These units can still be used as is as long as the vehicle it is being installed into requires no computer configuration of the evo.
Hello,

Fortin does not offer an all in 1 solution for this vehicle, Fortin does offer immobilizer bypass (pats-gm), however it has not been made in some years now so you would need to find NOS online if possible.

You would still need to purchase and wire in a remote starter module aslong with the pats gm.

Hey Mike I hate to hijack this thread, but I was hoping you could help me. I am trying to install the same setup in my Buick Rendezvous which is pretty similar to the aztek. Could you tell me which wire you connected the Green igniton wire from the compustar to on the car? And the blue ignition wire? And what about the pink ignition wire on the Fortin unit? Thanks.

Yes I am aware that they don't boast a solution for that vehicle for an evo one. However, they don't support other vehicles that I have posed questions for and have gotten firmware solutions for those vehicles. The 99-05 Grand am sports the same immobilizer along with many other GM vehicles. Just trying to see if anyone has tried to do it with those firmware verisons.70.18- 70.21 is the firmware I am checking for.

Charlie, glad you got it going! Not sure why datalink was griefing your previous setup.
If you ever come across something like this again, I would highly suggest NOT letting the remote start do it's autolearn datalink protocol selection. Force into whichever protocol by manually programming it.

Commented: Pre loaded EVO-FORD , EVO MAZDA that is flashed to Pontiac would it work?

A combo package such as the EVO-FORT1 comes with an EVO-ALL that is preflashed for Ford/Mazda vehicles. You can still use the unit on any vehicle that is compatible with an EVO-ALL, but unless it's a Ford/Mazda, you will need to flash the evo-all for the appropriate vehicle make!

 GM 70.XX

 Ford/Mazda - 71.XX

 Nissan/Infiniti - 72.XX

 Honda/Acura - 73.XX

 Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep - 74.XX

 Volks./Audi - 75.XX

 Hyundai/Kia - 76.XX

 Volvo - 77.XX

 BMW - 78.XX

 Toyota/Lexus/Subaru - 79.XX

You dont need to memorize that list becuase when you plug an evo-all in the flash-link and select the vehicle you are working on, it will already list you the recommended firmware for that vehicle.

I'd like to add that, if this ProStart starter is an Autostart brand and not a Crimestopper brand, and if you are using datalink, you would have to actually select EXpressKit in the remote starter options and also enable option F3-D2D in the EVO-ALL. These Prostart remote starters do not offer 2-way Datalink in Fortin or ADS protocols; it's only offered for their native D2D protocol.

Comment edited: Is there a way to bypass 1998 Grand-Am with a single wire to Car Data Connector pin # 2 or Pin #9

The passlock sl2 should do the job if your can program it before taking everything out of the vehicle. All you would need to do is activate the passlock sl2-v2 via the ground-when-running input whenever you would want to start your Snow Plane. Worth a try if you have one in stock, your call on that.
It's not the actual security light. It's a service theft system message in the information center (LCD screen on the dash). The security light turns on and then goes out after remote start. I think the message continues even after the key is inserted but I'm not 100% sure on that. It doesn't come on when the key is used to start the vehicle.
Answered: I am getting nothing.

	Hi Scott,

What is the 12 digit service number written on the back of the EVO?

If you want to anything by email, send it to support@ifar.ca , comments/answers will be posted here after.

If you're only having problems with lock and unlock not working, this is most of the time related to the "Data Key Less" connection between the EVO and the BCM in your center console.

When the EVO receives a negative lock or unlock signal, you should be seeing a Blue light flicker on the unit. A quick and easy test, would be to ground yourself the purple or purple/white of the EVO to see if it makes a difference with your door locks.

with out the special key present I can still start the car.

You will need to contact the advanced keys tech support for this.

Hi Justin,

Unfortunatly, the only working bypass module for that specific vehicle are Evo-All, INT-SL+ or PATS-GM.

Answer selected: Just wanted to confirm the evo-all will work on the passlock or passkey of a 2005 pontiac pursuit.

Hi,

The Passlock-SL2 will always work for the bypass.

The EVO-ALL will work ior the bypass, but only if the vehicle is equipped with a PK3+ system(There would be a "+" engraved into the shaft of the key if this is the case.

Commented: 2007 Pontiac G6 EVO-ALL

The accessory is coming on at the same time as the ignition. Am I better off to bypass the passlock with resistors?

To my knowledge, the problem would still be there afterwards since your accessory comes on with ignition.

I've seen people power accessory with the (+) parking light output instead. The only downside of this, is that when you do lock or unlock the accessory turns on, BUT if you are comfortable with relays, their may be a trick to power accessory using the parking light output ONLY when the remote starter wants to start the car.

Before doing anything else though, you may want to try this very simple test.

remove the accessory connection of the remote starter to the car.

remove the EVO yellow wire connection

connect yellow wire of EVO to remote starter accesory wire.

Next, I'd recommend contacting the manufacturer of the remote starter to see if they have any fixes for their problem.

Answer selected: installed all wires but the blue one

The red light will only turn on when the unit is active. It will activate when a ground is present on the blue wire. So basically, what you are describing, means everything is working as is :)
