2006 Saturn Ion Standard Key Passlock SL2V2

Called into Tech support but it's now after hours. Can't get the car to crank. I am using a separate remote keyless/start with the Passlock SL2-V2 Fortin Unit. When I called support they mentioned making sure the accessory wire drops when the car start is supposed to crank. I have verified that it has and still now crank. Verified all connections, but will check again. My ignition is blue and my accessory is brown. Anything else anyone can give me help on I would appreciate it.
Edited: How can EVO-ONE arm and remote start on 2004 Saturn ION without passlock preventing it?

I've followed the passlock teach sequence for both the EVO-ONE and the SL2V.2. It arms, but after the key has been removed the passlock anti-theft system shows that it has been activated on the instrument cluster. When it attempts to remote start, it tries but then the passlock 2 prevents it from starting. 2nd question, can I connect an analogue tach wire to this EVO-ONE to allow the 2nd manual transmission remote start mode? I have tried a SL2V.2 and an INT-SL+ along with the EVO-ONE and the same problem occurs.

Answered: security light on dash stays on all the time

This is one of those cars i cringe of when someone asks security light issues lol

Here's some things to look at.

1- did the client have the ignition barrel recall done? If so, this may change the type of passlock system the car would have. I've seen this on a chevy cobalt before and had to use a passlock-sl2 for the passlock bypass. May not be related but thtought i should bring this to light,

2- Instead of grounding the evo through datalink, ground it to pin 4 or 5 at the OBD-II. Two ground wires exist there, bcm ground and body ground. Try both, i forget which pin is bcm ground but you may need to ground the unit there and also the remote starter.

3- If problem is persistent even with the key, the passkey fuse may actually be blown. Try starting withoug the evo or remote start connected at all to see if problem persists.

4- Do you have black tape to cover the light? :P (kidding)

Hi Isaac,

You join the Orange and Orange/Black together and then splice both of them on the vehicles Yellow wire (not cutting wires in this car).

Good! So no aftermarket would be required at this point

Recategorized: Can I use this product in my 05 Saturn Relay 3 Van to be able to start it after I have installed a new PCM?

I HAVE A MINT 10,000 mile Saturn Relay 3 Van. I have a new PCM that I want to install as it has a slightly custom tune for more power from the 3500 puny V-6. The damn PK3 trasponder security system is preventing the van from starting. So I need a way to bypass the PK3. If I buy and install this system, will it allow me to bypass the PK3 system, so I can start the Van using my new PCM? I have no problem having to start it remotley if that will be required. Please advise ASAP. Thank you.
