Evo-one 2006 rendezvous no yellow light in programming

Ign on - Blue shuts off red comes on but red does not start flashiing to be able to turn key to start for yellow to come on. When red comes on solid the blue starts flashing but is dim. Red never flashes. Talked to tech support said to try starting when red light comes on instead of waiting for red flashing. Still just does the above. I have Reset, flashed 70.18, started and held in start postion and above repeats. He did say to test purple pin 2 and should be 1.5v. It is .23v and I have seen it fluctuate up to 1.2v while lock/unlock is pressedn etc. I have check every single fuse, put on battery charger, cleaned batt terminal, wiggled wires and still does the above voltage fluctuations. Could it be faulty module? Which I've never had happen in over 15ys of using fortin. Strange the blue light flashes dim after red comes on. Could it be the low voltage on obd pin #2? I've never had on issue with the pk3. Factory radio. No signs of anything aftermarket being installed to disrupt obd2 signal. Obd2 plug in code reader communicates fine and no codes present

1.On page 4(wiring diagram) of guide #77331, shows to make a connection between the light blue wire and light blue/black wire. Do these need to be spliced together? What is the reason for this?

- If your module was made before 2019 yes, if it was made after 2019 no. Fabrication date is written on the back.

2. Also, wondering what start/stop external control means?

- This is for a 3rd party device to control the evo, in your case you will not need it.

3. Are the good hood pins/ valet switch required for the function of the module?

- If the vehicle is equipped with an oem hood pin, refer to your vehicle specific guide to see if the evo covers it through data. If no then it is strongly recommended to install a hood pin for saftey reasons. It will still function without that connection.

Yes, the evo all can do remote start and alarm on this vehicle.

However, seeing as your vehicle has an issue to begin with, it may just have the same issue when trying to get the evo-all to work as well. Something to keep in mind.

Ground while running is normally found on the remote starter module and is connect to the same wire on the bypass module.

The 2 extra blips indicate a low battery in the remote, correct.

Only suggestion is to make sure to use a CR2016 of a name brand (think duracell, engergizer etc...)

For an install such as this I would suggest not using the wizard mode as it will not be able to set it up the way you want.

I would switch to pro mode (click gear in upper right hand corner of the flm program and click "go to pro mode"), Then select the appropriate data link protocol (if applicable) and enable option A1 through A11 & C1. All other options should be left in there default position.

The solution here was a master reset of the unit. Once that was done, the antenna workled as it should and I was able to program the remotes. Everything is tested and working as of today.

1- no thats the nature of the beast for GM flip keys.

2- no, because this is what your car does when you turn it off with the key as well. If it is possible to disable the unlock on key off it would be in your owners manual.

3- yes, its called idle mode but in order for your to be able to use it you would need an rf kit, it will not work with your oem remote in this particular vehicle.

If it is not going to red, it is not reading the key. The vehicle needs to "request" the key in order for the evo to capture it.

1. Battery needs to be out of key

2. No other key in the car

3. Close door, open door, start the programming process

4. now put the key in the cup holder.

Do not leave key in cup holder. The vehicle will simply stop requesting to see the key if it simply always sees it.

If you friend still has the 942 antenna and his own remotes, simply reprogram HIS remotes 2 times each. The module will keep in memory 4 remotes. reprogramming the remotes a couple of times will knock out your remote from his starter.

there are 2 LEDs.

The blue one and red one.

During the day, you may not see the blue led actually flashing, even though it is, due to the sun shining. We added the red led in the middle for that purpose.

Also, you can connect the Antenna to the Flash Link. There is an option to turn on-off the antenna LED. While you are there, you can also update the antenna to 1.05.

There is no direct plug in for the shock sensor on the EVO-ALL.

The RFA2A is only for an RF-KIT.

Once option G is enabled, and only when option G is enabled, both trigger wires of the shock sensor need to be connected to the PURPLE wire of the 20pin connector. The purple wire is a dual stage shock sensor input when option G is on. When option G is NOT on, it is a unlock input.

UPDATE- Apparently a module has failed on the truck, so this appears to be unrelated to the EVO install. Closing the post.

2005 Rainier, EVO One. Wired per diagram. Module had FW 70.18, flashed to 70.39 since I'm using an RF kit OL-RF-52-SST.

Followed vehicle-specific programming per guide 23261 rev 20190514:

1) Hold program button, plug in power connector.

2) Wait for solid blue LED, release button. Blue LED remains on.

3) Plug in 20-pin harness and RF antenna harness

4) Key on, blue LED out, no red LED. No LED at all.

Read & followed this post for the same year Chevy truck:

2005 Alavanche can’t get the red led to come on during programming

Reset per the linked post in the above post:

1) Flashed v. 0.99

2) Disconnected from flasher, connected power plug (Red/Yellow/Blue LEDS on solid)

3) Disconnected main plug.

4) Reflashed to 70.18

5) Setting protection is not on

6) Reset by following above-

7) Hold programming button

8) Plug in power connector, wait for solid blue LED, release button

9) Blue LED off, red LED on then off, yellow LED on solid. This is where the red LED is suppsed to flash.

If this regal is stand key model, and if you are using the OEM remote only to control the system and you enable the EVO-ALARM, you will not be able to properly disarm the alarm. Turn OFF option G if it's on.

You are supposed to test every wire you are connecting to with a digital multimeter to make sure you are connecting the correct wire from the remote starter to the vehicle.

You can hook up the analog trunk release of your remote starter to the vehicle's trunk release trigger wire, White/Black (-) on the BCM's smallest connector in the center console. doors will need to be unlocked first before this wire is triggered, (All wires will need to be tested with a digital multimeter to locate the correct wire BEFORE any connections are made.

The service number on my Fortin EVO-ALL is 001A06 785313. The remote starter I am using is an EasyGuard EC002.

I did some more troubleshooting this weekend, and here is what I found.

1. I hooked up a relay using ACC to generate the GWR signal to the Fortin. I can measure with a multimeter that the voltage on the GWR input to the EVO-ALL drops from 12V to 0V when I remote start the car. The yellow light turns on, but the red light on the Fortin EVO-ALL never turns on and the car does not start.

2. If I leave a key in the ignition, and remote start the car, the car starts fine and stays running but the red light on the EVO-ALL still never comes on.

3. If I test with the factory remote by pressing lock 3X, the car starts.

4. I ran wires between GND and GWR with a mechanical toggle switch. I can flip the switch and see the voltage changes from 12V to 0V, but the red light on the EVO-ALL never comes on.

Could I have a defective EVO-ALL? What else can I do to troubleshoot the GWR issue?

2001 Buick Park Avenue Locks Wake up Dome Lights and Won't Shut off

Starter works and door locks work fine, however, when the doors are locked with the RFK942 the dome lights come on in the car and stay on in the car. Horn honks 3x indicating door is open. I've tested all door pins and none show open. What could it be?

Looking at the website here: http://fortin.ca/en/vehicles/buick/lucerne/2006-standard-key/ INT-SL+ is not listed as a supported module for your vehicle, Which explains why you cannot find the installation guide for it as it does not exist. For that vehicle you would want either evo-all or evo-one.

In regards to the starter wire not being shown... Their is a very simple answer for that, this vehicle does not use a starter wire at the ignition switch. It uses logic to crank the vehicle, when ign and acc are powered and acc drops the vehicles computer cranks the engine.

I'm not surprised. You are messing with the VATS resistance value by doing that. It might even do that if you tried remote starting with the key in the barrel since the evo is already sending the value on the j1850. That's how passlock/vats works. Like my own 2002.

That said, it shouldnt be going into lockout anyway. Please try your test again, but this time after the car shut down because you forgot to turn ignition on, take the key out of the barrel completely, wait a second or two, and re-insert it. Then try starting the car.

Note: It's doing that because the car is equipped with VATS (resistor on the middle of the key shaft). When it sees anomolies on the VATS (wrong resistance), the vehicle goes into lockout because it thinks you are trying to steal it. As indicated in the vehicles owners manual, when the vehicle is in lockout, you need to wait 10 minutes.

Installed an Evo-One and Fortin RF642W 2 way RF kit in a 2003 Buick Century. Followed "connection 1" and "programming 1" as stated to by this install guide. http://fortin.ca/download/23261/evo-one_ig_reg_bi_gm_j1850_b_23261.pdf

All wiring has been verified multiple times to be exactly what the install guide said to do...nothing more and nothing less.

When I try to remote start the car, via the 2 way remote, the car will power on but will not crank the starter at all. When I use the remote to kick the car into "idle mode", the car unlocks as it should but shuts off when I turn the ignition off to pull the key.

Bypass portion programmed fine....RF remote also programmed fine.

Literally, the only wires connected at the moment are what the install guide I linked above says.

CM800-S Options Programming using Remotes

The CM800-S manual Page 18 gives information on programming with remotes.

The manual mentions Tapping a "KEY" button, on the 1 way 4 button remotes (which I have Model 700R). The "KEY" button is in the same position as the * Star (Start) button on other remotes, am hoping this is correct.

There is no mention of how to "scroll through" the list of menu items under each of Option Menu 1, Option Menu 2 or Option Menu 3.

Therefore the question is: How does one scroll through the Options with the Remote? When the Option Group is entered how does one advance, and how does one exit the programming mode?

From what I have read so far, the Backup Lights can be made operational when the vehicle has been started with the remote keyfob.

Lock - 95. Red/Black Driver's Kick
Unlock - 99. Orange/Black Driver's Kick

These colors are incorrect, these are for 1996, the correct colors are White and Light Blue for 1995's, can be found at the Door Lock/Unlock Switch or in the bundle of wires Driver's side under carpet, above Rocker area.

Regarding the quest for information regarding the subject of Door Locks, the 1991-1996 Buick Park Avenue's ALL HAVE (+) DOOR LOCK/UNLOCK configuration at the switches. [However the Remote Accessory Control sends (-)]

I built and tested a bank of two standard relay's for the purpose of Door Lock/Unlock which is operational from CM800-S Remotes.

The CN3 wires to connect to the relay's are #4 Blue (-) Unlock and #5 Blue/Black (-) Lock . The car wire colors are White (Unlock) and Light Blue (Lock), these are the same wires that run to the Lock/Unlock Relay, under the carpet at front of Driver's seat.

However the relay's that I set up to operate the doors do not turn on the interior lights, and unlock opens all the doors, not just Driver's door on the first pulse, so going to try and get the CM800-S (-) pulses connected to the correct wires at the Remote Accessory Control / LH Door Isolation Relay area to gain some functionality.

The CM800-S Trunk Release (-) attached to the dash Trunk Release Switch (car wire Black), unlocks the doors at the same time as the trunk is opened, which is what the installation details show as correct.

1995 Buick Park Avenue - Remote Start is operational and Tachometer operational with White wire connected at Ignition Control Module.

However --> Park Lights do not illuminate, correct wire is hooked up (to Drk Brown lower driver's kick), shows + 12v only when Park Switch is On; also Trunk Open not operational, wire connected to Black/White Stripe lower driver's kick).

I purchased the WireColor page for 1991-1996 Buick Park Avenue, and there no photos to correspond with the #'s of the wires in Tab One. The information for this item said there would be photo's. Is there a glitch in the system?

Would appreciate the photo's for the WireColor entry for 1991-1996 Buick Park Avenue and/or some ideas to get this installed.

Regal 2010 on EVO ALL with THAR-GM1V2 programming fail

My car is Regal 2010 flip key with auto transmission

I got EVO-All and THAR-GM1V2, everything is well installed. Firmware is upgraded to latest version of this car.

When I follow the programming guide <evo-all_(firmware_4.18_hardware_6_and_more_required)_thar-gm1_v2_(t-harness).rev-20130509> step4, that is a long step, some actions requires to be finished within 5 second.

When I finish step4 within 5 seconds, the yellow light keeps on and red light flash rapidly, which is differenct as guide shows.

Please help. What should I do?

I want to use it with oem remoter.

The issue I described above was follow the programming guide. And it was not success as I mentioned.

Then I tried to follow the decryptor guide. It's also difference as the guide shows. In the guide the last status should be blue light flash rapidly then remove the key blue light flash slowly. In my case the blue light keep light on before and after remove the key.

However I still finish the whole process with flash link updater. When I reconnect the 4-Pin connector back after all the remaining connector, both red, yellow and blue light keep flash. I don't know whether the status is correct or not.

When I push unlock button 3 times, nothing happen.

Any more info needs, please let me know.
