Evo-one 2006 rendezvous no yellow light in programming

Ign on - Blue shuts off red comes on but red does not start flashiing to be able to turn key to start for yellow to come on. When red comes on solid the blue starts flashing but is dim. Red never flashes. Talked to tech support said to try starting when red light comes on instead of waiting for red flashing. Still just does the above. I have Reset, flashed 70.18, started and held in start postion and above repeats. He did say to test purple pin 2 and should be 1.5v. It is .23v and I have seen it fluctuate up to 1.2v while lock/unlock is pressedn etc. I have check every single fuse, put on battery charger, cleaned batt terminal, wiggled wires and still does the above voltage fluctuations. Could it be faulty module? Which I've never had happen in over 15ys of using fortin. Strange the blue light flashes dim after red comes on. Could it be the low voltage on obd pin #2? I've never had on issue with the pk3. Factory radio. No signs of anything aftermarket being installed to disrupt obd2 signal. Obd2 plug in code reader communicates fine and no codes present

2020 Buick encore installation clarification

I have Purchased a Evo-GMT6 with THAR-GM6 harness for a 2020 Buick Encore push start and im looking for clarification.

1.On page 4(wiring diagram) of guide #77331, shows to make a connection between the light blue wire and light blue/black wire. Do these need to be spliced together? What is the reason for this?

2. Also, wondering what start/stop external control means?

3. Are the good hood pins/ valet switch required for the function of the module?

Thanks,

On bypass programming options, should I choose oem remote or aftermarket?

I am using the EVO-ALL as an immobilizer bypass for a 2010 Enclave CXL (that does have factory remote start) to install an aftermarket PKE system (ikey-premier from digital guard dawg. Which programming option do I choose for the bypass? The OEM remote start option or the aftermarket rfid option? I specifically ask because I don't see their key fob listed in the rfid compatibility, but I'm using the bypass for an aftermarket system, NOT the OEM remote. Should I still choose OEM? Alternatively, is it possible that their rf key could be compatible even though it isn't listed?

OL-RF-52-SST no LED for remote programming with EVO ONE

Vehicle is a 2005 Buick Rainier with standard key. Installed the EVO ONE (remote start firmware 0.44) and the OL-RF-52-SST about a year ago (May 2020). Everything worked OK. The truck had an engine failure and was in the shop for several months with the battery disconnected. When powered back up, the Omega RF remotes no longer work. OEM remotes work. I followed the directions for remote programming as listed below. My antenna LED is not lighting up at all.

The unit was intalled with a custom T-harness for power using OEM connectors and automotive-grade wire. The 30A inline fuse is good. The harness to the antenna looks OK. I verified the unit still has FW 0.44 via my Flash-Link 4 programmer.

Here's the process I tried to program the remotes:

Flash 0.44 into the remote starter and do the following to program:

	- ign on off on, led on antenna will light up solid.

	- 4x on brake pedal. It should blink once with each brake press.

	- Then send lock from each remote, should blink once again to confirm it programmed.

Buick encore 2020

Few Qs about Remote while running, Unlock after disconnect, supermarket mode?

This question should apply to 2018-2020 Buick Regals or Opel Insignias.

GMT-6 Module is currently installed. Car starts with Oem remote (lock unlock lock), keyless entry / push-to-start.

1. Once the car is started with the remote, the remote doesn't work to unlock/lock the car unless i turn the engine off. Anyway we can get around this?

2. If the timer on the remote runs out (let's say after 15 minutes), the car turns off, auto-unlocks the entire car, and keeps the lights on. Anyway we can stop it from unlocking?

3. My old/previous car used to have a crimestopper ( i think), remote start, and it had this feature where if i stop somewhere to get something quick, I can pull the handbrake, and that would trigger the remote start system to take over, while i remove the key and lock the running car.

Is this feature possible here? currently i turn off the car. Exit, Lock, remote start, then walk away.

EVOALL not registering car starting on program of module

I have a 2020 Buick Encore GX model. No matter how I configure the module, it will not move from Yellow LED to Red once the car starts (step 6 of guide 77311. Crutchfield sold me this module with the T harness assuring me it will work for a Encore GX model. I only see it is registered to work on a standard Encore model. Could this be the issue? Inompatibility with the GX model?

Disregard: Evo One no red LED during programming

UPDATE- Apparently a module has failed on the truck, so this appears to be unrelated to the EVO install. Closing the post.

2005 Rainier, EVO One. Wired per diagram. Module had FW 70.18, flashed to 70.39 since I'm using an RF kit OL-RF-52-SST.

Followed vehicle-specific programming per guide 23261 rev 20190514:

	1) Hold program button, plug in power connector.

	2) Wait for solid blue LED, release button. Blue LED remains on.

	3) Plug in 20-pin harness and RF antenna harness

	4) Key on, blue LED out, no red LED. No LED at all.

2006 Buick Rendezvous - Car stays running intermittently

Just finished installing a Compustar CS800s with a Fortin INT-SL. Everything was working good, but I started having issues where the car would not stay running when remote started. It will start, run for maybe 5 seconds, and then die. It will do that a total of 3 times before giving up. It doesn't always do it though. A lot of the time it will start and stay running on the first try. Not sure what the issue is here. I do not have a tach wire conencted since the Compustar claimed it was tachless sensing. Do I need one? If so, any clue where it is on my car?

Buick Rendezvous - int-sl does not supprt trunk release. Any options?

I connected the trunk wire on the int-sl to the trunk wire on my compustar cs800s unit, but the trunk will not open. Read the guide a little closer and it looks like the int-sl does not supprt the trunk function on my car. Do I have any options here? Or am I stuck carrying two remotes if I want to have the trunk release on a remote?

EVO-ALL Doesn't lock unlock when input toggles

I have a Fortin EVO-ALL. I am using in conjunction with an Easyguard EC002 remote starter. I have programmed the EVO-ALL as a bypass and confirmed that if I press the lock button on my factory key FOB 3X the car will start remotely. I can also remotely start the car using the remote button on the Easyguard remote.

However, I am having problems with the door lock/unlock. I am unable to lock or unlock the doors with my Easyguard remote. I can see that the door (-) LOCK and (-) UNLOCK input signals to the EVO-ALL toggle from 12V to 0V when I press the Easyguard remote button, but the doors do not lock or unlock. Also, the trunk release does not work properly.

Do I have a software configuration problem? Or do I possibly have a hardware problem with the EVO-ALL?

EVO-All and Remote Start - No Red Light no Start

I have an Evo-all and a remote starter on my 2011 Buick Regal. I am having two problems:

1. When I press the lock/unlock button on the starter remote, the Fortin flashes blue but the doors do not unlock. The trunk does not pop either.

2. When I press the remote start button, the dash lights come on, but the car doesn't crank and doesn't try to start. The light on the Fortin turns yellow, but never turns red. I enabled the 3x unlock on the factory remote, and I can start the car that way. The troubleshooting tips page said that this is most likely an issue with the GWR, but how do I fix this? Do I need to add a time delay relay?

1991 Buick Park Avenue - What is correct number of flashes after programming SL2?

Have installed Compustar CM800,SL2 & have programmed the SL2 and all is working. The SL2 bypassed the security and remembers the setting, the car starts on the remote as it should.

However the number of flashes after programming is FIVE and the installation instructions say the number of flashes after correct programming should be THREE.

Would appreciate knowing what the FIVE flashes means.
I'm installing a remote start on a 2006 Buick Lucerne and I used a token for the vehicle wiring specs and it doesn't have all the information needed to make the install. This is not right, because if you going to charge people for vehicle wiring information it should be 90 to 100% correct and all there. The vehicle wiring guide for the 2006 Buick Lucerne doesn't even have the starter wire information. I also bought two Fortin INT-SL-PL by-pass module and there are no information on how to install it and what vehicle it could be used on. Overall, I truly like utilizing your products because I have installed your bypass modules on several cars in the past that yielded successful results. I would be grateful if you are able to rectify this situation so that I can continue being a loyal customer.

EVO-ONE is preventing my physical key from starting my car.

The EVO-ONE installed in my 2003 Buick Century prevents my car's actual starter(not remote starter) from cranking for 5-10+mins at a time.

Here is the rundown:

-Unlock car and start with actual key=no issue.

-Remote start car with Fortin RF kit, hop into car, insert key and turn ignition to run position=no issue.

Here's where it gets weird...

-Remote start the car with Fortin RF kit. Car starts and is running.

-I hop in and insert the key into ignition but "forget" to turn the ignition barrel at all.

-I hit the brake, as you would before putting the car into gear and the car shuts off, as it should, due to the ignition barrel not being turned to "run" position before the brake tap.

-After the car has shut off due to tapping the brake before turning ignition to "run", I turn my key that is in the ignition barrel already and my car's actual starter willl not even attempt to crank. All other items in the car turn on as they should(i.e. radio, air, fuel pump primes, etc.). EVO will turn the car on but will not even try and crank the starter if I try to remote start again at this point.

-I wait about 10mins and then try a few more times with the actual physical key and the car will start now.

So after the car comes back alive, I can turn it on and off with the key a million times in a row just fine. I go and repeat the remote starting and put the key in ignition(but not turned to "run") and tap the brake to shut the car off and the car now will not start again.

I can replicate this every single time I do what I described above. This problem cost me $200 and and hour on my back in 5F weather putting a new starter in about a month ago because I figured the starter solenoid died on my wife.

Why would this be happening? This car is equipped from the factory with an anti-grind relay. It's acting like anti-grind relay thinks the car is trying to double start, which it's not.

Evo-One responds to commands over Fortin RF642W kit poorely.

Commands given from the RF642W two way kit are unreliable. Lock and unlock commands do not work 1/4 or more of the time, even when standing within 10ft. of the antenna. The remote beeps as if it has made communication with the car but the lock/unlock commands do not register.

Improper status is also given commonly when using the status request feature. I have gotten confirmation that the car is locked on multiple occasions when the car is surely not locked.

This RF kit is spotty at best, what gives? Is there better firmware or something?

Antenna is mounted in the front window and has no obstructions. Lock and trunk commands are being fed over OBD. Car is a 2003 Buick Century.

Wired exactly as the install guide said but car won't even try to crank.

Installed an Evo-One and Fortin RF642W 2 way RF kit in a 2003 Buick Century. Followed "connection 1" and "programming 1" as stated to by this install guide. http://fortin.ca/download/23261/evo-one_ig_reg_bi_gm_j1850_b_23261.pdf

All wiring has been verified multiple times to be exactly what the install guide said to do...nothing more and nothing less.

When I try to remote start the car, via the 2 way remote, the car will power on but will not crank the starter at all. When I use the remote to kick the car into "idle mode", the car unlocks as it should but shuts off when I turn the ignition off to pull the key.

Bypass portion programmed fine....RF remote also programmed fine.

Literally, the only wires connected at the moment are what the install guide I linked above says.

Does the Evo-One work as both the bypass and remote starter for a 2003 Buick Century?

Would it require more wiring than what is shown here(install #1 in the link)? https://fortin.ca/download/23261/evo-one_ig_reg_bi_gm_j1850_b_23261.pdf

CM800-S Options Programming using Remotes

The CM800-S manual Page 18 gives information on programming with remotes.

The manual mentions Tapping a "KEY" button, on the 1 way 4 button remotes (which I have Model 700R). The "KEY" button is in the same position as the * Star (Start) button on other remotes, am hoping this is correct.

There is no mention of how to "scroll through" the list of menu items under each of Option Menu 1, Option Menu 2 or Option Menu 3.

Therefore the question is: How does one scroll through the Options with the Remote? When the Option Group is entered how does one advance, and how does one exit the programming mode?

Thanks in advance.

CM800-S 1995 Buick Park Avenue - Backup Lights when started by Remote

CM800-S Install 1995 Buick Park Avenue - Backup Lights when started by Remote

From what I have read so far, the Backup Lights can be made operational when the vehicle has been started with the remote keyfob.

Thanks for any ideas you may have.

Question: How to wire the Backup lights, so they are operational when the vehicle has been started by the remote keyfob, and turn off when the vehicle is put into motion.

CM800-S 1995 Buick Park Avenue - Door Unlock/Lock

Door Unlock/Lock

The following are from WireColor.com ...

Lock - 95. Red/Black Driver's Kick
Unlock - 99. Orange/Black Driver's Kick

These colors are incorrect, these are for 1996, the correct colors are White and Light Blue for 1995's, can be found at the Door Lock/Unlock Switch or in the bundle of wires Driver's side under carpet, above Rocker area.

http://www.commandocaralarms.com/wiring/1994-1995/buick/parkavenue/331.html
This link has the correct colors in a chart.

Regarding the quest for information regarding the subject of Door Locks, the 1991-1996 Buick Park Avenue's ALL HAVE (+) DOOR LOCK/UNLOCK configuration at the switches. [However the Remote Accessory Control sends (-)]

I built and tested a bank of two standard relay's for the purpose of Door Lock/Unlock which is operational from CM800-S Remotes.

The CN3 wires to connect to the relay's are #4 Blue (-) Unlock and #5 Blue/Black (-) Lock . The car wire colors are White (Unlock) and Light Blue (Lock), these are the same wires that run to the Lock/Unlock Relay, under the carpet at front of Driver's seat.

However the relay's that I set up to operate the doors do not turn on the interior lights, and unlock opens all the doors, not just Driver's door on the first pulse, so going to try and get the CM800-S (-) pulses connected to the correct wires at the Remote Accessory Control / LH Door Isolation Relay area to gain some functionality.

The CM800-S Trunk Release (-) attached to the dash Trunk Release Switch (car wire Black), unlocks the doors at the same time as the trunk is opened, which is what the installation details show as correct.

Thanks for your help.

CM800-S Install 1995 Buick Park Avenue

1995 Buick Park Avenue - Remote Start is operational and Tachometer operational with White wire connected at Ignition Control Module.

However --> Park Lights do not illuminate, correct wire is hooked up (to Drk Brown lower driver's kick), shows + 12v only when Park Switch is On; also Trunk Open not operational, wire connected to Black/White Stripe lower driver's kick).

I purchased the WireColor page for 1991-1996 Buick Park Avenue, and there no photos to correspond with the #'s of the wires in Tab One. The information for this item said there would be photo's. Is there a glitch in the system?

Would appreciate the photo's for the WireColor entry for 1991-1996 Buick Park Avenue and/or some ideas to get this installed.

Thanks for your response. Gerald

PS. Will email you pictures as I am doing this if you wish
send me an email address privately, if you want pictures they would be a great help to others

Regal 2010 on EVO ALL with THAR-GM1V2 programming fail

My car is Regal 2010 flip key with auto transmission

I got EVO-All and THAR-GM1V2, everything is well installed. Firmware is upgraded to latest version of this car.

When I follow the programming guide <evo-all_(firmware_4.18_hardware_6_and_more_required)_thar-gm1_v2_(t-harness).rev-20130509> step4, that is a long step, some actions requires to be finished within 5 second.

When I finish step4 within 5 seconds, the yellow light keeps on and red light flash rapidly, which is differenct as guide shows.

Please help. What should I do?

Add more info

I want to use it with oem remoter.

The issue I described above was follow the programming guide. And it was not success as I mentioned.

Then I tried to follow the decryptor guide. It's also difference as the guide shows. In the guide the last status should be blue light flash rapidly then remove the key blue light flash slowly. In my case the blue light keep light on before and after remove the key.

However I still finish the whole process with flash link updater. When I reconnect the 4-Pin connector back after all the remaining connector, both red, yellow and blue light keep flash. I don't know whether the status is correct or not.

When I push unlock button 3 times, nothing happen.

Any more info needs, please let me know.
