Hello. I am trying to install an EVO-All with GMT1V2 T-harness in a 2014 chevrolet cruze. (remote starter is programmed and works with OEM remote) I have an RFK-442 kit I would like to install without the RFA2A adapter. I have 12v and ground present at the datalink from the t-harness. Am I wrong to believe that the antenna kit can wired into the Datalink plug? I have wired it as such, When I plug in the antenna. the LED will light for a second. but when I follow the RF kit learning prcedure for the EVO-All. the antenna LED does not respond. Is the RFA2A really required? Thanks

How to reprogram Fortin RF 411 to new EVO-ALL

I started having an issue 2 year after installing the evo-all unit where it would not respond using the oem remote or the Fortin 411 remote. The unit work perfectly for 2 years before this and what i noticed is that i could remove the fuse in the T-Harness and put it back in and the unit would work fine for a few days and then would stop responding again. I had a spare EVO-ALL unit laying around, so i flashed it to the vehicle, programmed it to the vehicle and then tried reprograming the previously installed Fortin 411 RF KIT to the new EVO-ALL unit and i can get the module into program mode and the light on the antenna will flash rapidly but the remotes will not re-pair to the antenna. The light on the remotes flash as normal, the lights on the antenna continue to flash and the lights on the module continue to flash waiting for the remotes to be paired. Is there any way around this or am i stuck having to get new remotes and/or RF kit?

This season 2023 we have not been able to succesfully program any of our rf442 kits. When we go into program procedure on both evo one and evo all and press auxillary button followed by lock, the remotes just flash red instantly. We have tried 22 different sets so far this year. support said it sounds like bad remotes. supplier replaced them all and having the same problem. RF441 programs normally without issue, also no issues with EVO-start. Remotes are also not disabled. Supplier claims nobody else is having same problem.

RF642W - Two way communication not working

In order to have a remote with each physical key, I purchased a 2nd RF642W kit. After pairing the remotes from the 2nd kit to the vehicle the remotes work in that they are able to preform all the functions. However, they don't appear to recieve 2 way confirmation. The most annoying part of this is when I press lock/unlock on one of the 2nd kit's remotes the vehicle locks/unlocks 3x before the remote says it did not work (even though it did).

Is there a way to get the remotes from the 2nd kit to recieve the 2 way confirmations?

RF642W remote batteries dead within a week

I am having an issue with my RF642W remote. The batteries in the remote are dying within a week of being installed, even though I have tried using new batteries and changing them multiple times. The remote functions normally when the batteries have a charge, all buttons work and nothing is stuck down. The LED and chime on the remote also operate normally.

Can anyone suggest any further steps I can take to investigate this issue or is this a symptom of failing hardware?

Je trouve pas de guide pour l'installer, on m'a dit qu'il se programme automatiquement en le branchant. Est-ce qu'il y a des settings a choisir dans le Evo-All ou Evo-one pour que ça fonctionne? Si je link le Evo-Start a mon cellulaire, est-ce que je peux l'effacer après pour mettre le cellulaire du client? Et j'ai lu que l'abonnement est gratuit pour 3 ans, comment ça fonctionne après 3 ans? Merci

I just installed an Evo one on my crv 07. Everything works fine. Can remote start the car with the oem remote pushing lock x3.

now I'm trying to pair the rfk441 with no luck.
I followed the guide start in on then off then on again press the pedal x4 but the led on the antena never flashed solid.
do I need to activate any function with the flashlink before I can pair the remotes? If so? Which functions?

Hello. I am about to install my third Fortin remote start system. I'd like to avoid the need for three different sets of remotes. Is there a remote available that will lock/unlock and remote start two or more different vehicles? It looked like the Excalibur RFK-42-SSTem has the option but can find no information on whether it actually does and how to set it up. I am primarily interested in 2-way remotes but please let me know if there are any 1-way remotes also.

The adhesive holding the soft button cover to the casing is oozing out of the seam and the cover is beginning to flap way from the casing body. This is going to compromise the water/dirt/dust resistance for the remote, aside from making the remote a sticky mess.
Also, one of the 2 screws has come out and is lost.
I was hoping to replace the casing only, as the electronic guts of the remote work just fine.
Any assistance?

I have the same issue of not able to program RFK422 kit.

Tacoma OEM remote start works fine.

When there is not key plugged in, dongle of RF Kit flashes blue. However when i put key to ON (to program) no led light on dongle.

Appreciate help in programming.

BTW UNIT is EVO ONE with latest 79.65 firmware.

Unit options shows under RF KIT Compatible. only Fortin 2 selected

Recently bought EVO-ONE to toyota tacoma which came preinstalled firmware. Had not ordered RF kit at the tim of order. Now want to RFK442 or RFK942 for better range.

Question. 1 - Do i need to enable RFkit support or is that already come enabled by default?

Question 2 - Any easy way to validate firware setup or do i need to purchange flash link\

Question 3 - Assuming need to purchase Flashlink interface unit, what is the step to just enable rfkit support without messing existing programming/setup.

This happened only when I used the CL6 car link app to start my vehicle. The car unlocked, engine start, and relock the doors. But after about 1 minute and 26 second, the vehicle unlock without me touching anything. Please help

I have evo one with MyCar telematics plugged into the (4-PIN) DATA-LINK ANTENNA with the MyCar HRN-LLRS-01.

I also want to add the fortin RKF411 to the evo one but the port is taken up by the telematics. I tried plugging the fortin rf kit antenna harness to the the other female connector of the HRN-LLRS-01 and the rf kit works but the telematics doesn't. Unplugged the rf kit and the telematic works again. Is there a way for me to use the rf kit on another port? Thank you

I have a DroneMobile DR-5400 on my Evo One right now and it works perfectly on 0.50 firmware. I also have the new DroneMobile X1-MAX and I've tried everything but have not been able get it working. I've tried it on the latest Evo firmware and 0.50 and same results. It turns on but commands do not work on the DroneMobile app. Any way to get it working?

EDIT: The Compustar remote is connected to the smaller 4-pin blue plug, where most of the telematics modules also connect.

I have a simple question. I have a 2015 Toyota Rav4 with a Fortin EVO remote start which works fine. I'm just wondering when pressing the remote start button on the remote it's supposed to light up green when it communicates with the remote start showing that it was a successful start. Well the car starts with no problem, but the remote flashes red as if it didn't start. Why doesn't it ever flash green if the car starts successfully? Should I be concerned?

I am installing an EVO One into a 2006 Cadillac CTS. I have the module, the Flash-Link, and an Excalibur RF-51-EDP RF remote kit with antenna. The RF-51 shows as compatible with the EVO One. The instructions for enabling it appear to be outdated. I am using Flash-Link v.4. My remote start firmware is 1.24. My bypass firmware is 70.34. The instructions for using the RF-51 show a menu that does not exist on my screen- "Click configuration then unit options."

EDIT: For clarification, I have no options past section "D". I think the RF kit compatibility is section "H". There is no RF comptibility option for either the bypass or remote start.

Should I downgrade the Flashlink software? The instructions say Flash-Link-2 (I can't find any directions for V4), so I'm presuming this was a feature that used to be available.

Evo-all and compustar t9 Run time

I am using the the compustar t9 from kit with my evo-all. The remote works to lock/unlock and remote start. Getting 2 way fine. But when I remote start the timer on the remote, it shows only a 50 second run time although my runtime is set to 20 mins.

I have the ant-2wfmx wired in to the data link cable.

is there a way to remedy this or is it just something I have to live with? It’s not a huge deal but it’d be nice to see how much time is left on the run time.

Cannot Learn MyCar Telematics Module - Evo-One

I am trying to learn/teach the Evo-One the MyCar Telematics module. I have followed the directions and preconfigured the Evo with the Fortin 2 option.

I cannot get the Evo into programming mode. I turn the Ignition to ON hold the button (next to loop) on the Evo for 5+ seconds as the instructions say, but the led never changes to red and remains amber. Any suggestions?

I should also note that my install was done using all T-Harnesses so I know I don't have any wiring issues. I tested the Evo for functionality before moving onto MyCar install as well and everything works great.

I have an EVO-ONE.

It has been installed for over a year now and is working fine with my OEM remote/smart key.

The vehicle is a 2015 Hyundai Sonata LTD, 2.4, Automatic, Push-To-Start. (Install Guide 17203)

I now wish to add the RF642W 2-way remote to my system to increase the range.

I'm reading through the installation guide for the RF642W. (Install Guide 33021)

I see no mention anywhere of changing any settings via the flashlink updater..

Is the flashlink updater absolutely necessary to add the RF262W,

or can I just follow the installation guide, plug in the antenna, and program the 2 new remotes?

I'm a little confused, as somewhere I saw that the unit MUST be set up all over again with a certain option for a RF kit.

If that is the case, exactly what option do I select?

I see very little info on this, and if so, it should be docummented within the Install Guide for the 2-way remotes.

I just wanted to let people know something I just found out. I just ordered a Compustar Prime 2WG9 and it came with a little adapter so I dont need to switch the pins around as shown in the guide - rf-2wg9-sp-install-guide-25121!!!!

I belive this is something new because I have ordered many of these and this is the first time I have seen it come along with the remotes.

Also the packaging is a new design.

I tried uploading a photo but it wasnt going.

I installed the evo one on a 2015 subaru legacy PTS and everything works as directed, including the oem remote 3x start. I'm trying to program the 2way RF kit and it won't even pair. Are there specific settings in the flashlink program to enable this kit to work?
