Evo ONE with CARLINK ASCL6 and T harness in a 2022 tundra locks not working via app

Everything programmed and working minus the locks via the CARLINK app. The parking lights flash and mirrors start to fold in during lock but nothing from the lock.

Several ofthers are having the same exact issue

2010 Lexus RX 350 – EVO-ALL Stand Alone with ASCL6 CARLINK: Remote Start Not Working ( NO IGNITION, NO CRANK)

Issue: Remote start does not work when initiating the remote start command via factory remote (3X lock) and/or CARLINK App.

A few things that I noticed when trying to remote start the car:

The transmitter and CARLINK app are communicating with the EVO-ALL - when the remote start is initiated, the blue LED on the EVO flashes once and a solid red light illuminates after. During this time, no lights on the cluster/dash turns on and there is no crank.
The EVO attempts this process again with the same results. After the second failed attempt, the red LED on the module and the car’s parking lights flashed 3 times.
Next, I tried remote starting the vehicle using the idle mode.
- I started the car by stepping on the foot brake and pushing the START/STOP button.
- Once the car was running, I activated the remote start with the CARLINK app.
- The remote start count-down timer appeared on the CARLINK app which tells me that the command was sent, and the module is in the remote start mode.
- I stepped out of the vehicle and the dash screen notified me there was no key (car remained idling)
- CARLINK app still showed the count-down timer for the run time.
- I deactivated the remote start using the CARLINK app and the vehicle turned off.

I also checked to see if all the other commands were working properly by using the CARLINK app.

Lock/unlock doors – good.
Open/close back trunk/door – good
Parking lights – good
Vehicle lock and unlock status - good, shows on the app when the doors are locked or unlocked.
Battery voltage shows on app, (13V)

I’ve doubled and TRIPLE checked the wiring, making sure they were terminated as shown in the installation guide (GUIDE # 77041) and that all connections were secured.

I don’t know if I am having issues with the installation or programing. I tried resetting the evo and re-flashing it and also down-grading the firmware to 79.66 to match the firmware on the guide. I think I might have tried a different firmware version as well (in between 79.70 and 79.66) with no luck. I eventually got locked out of the EVO-ALL because the flash limit was reached. I ended up ordering a second EVO-ALL to started from scratch again and I encountered the same problem.

I confirmed that the car does not have a factory remote starter by pressing the factory remote Lock button 2X and holding it after; the car did not start. Furthermore, I removed the glove box to check if a factory remote start was present, and as far as I can tell, I did not see one. The location of the factory remote starter was referenced from an Automotive Data Solutions Inc. (FLCAN and ALCA TL2) installation guide. If you have more details about where else this might be, please let me know and I can check again.

ASCL6 connected BUT Evo-One not going to pairing mode

2023 Subaru Forester Standard Key....Got all working now and yes needed to press a bit more on 40 pin fuse box connector So 3x works etc etc

I can NOT get the Evo-One to go into pairing mode using the ASCL6 install guide I never get the Red Led when holding button.

The ASCL6 is live as i can see the "Car" in the App BUT cant Start or unlock doors etc I can see battery and gps location

I installed EVO-All using THAR-For4. Then i added Carlink CL6 into it. Remote start stop, battery health, and gps features worked right away with no issues but Carlink App also has 4 Auxilary options, heated seats options and lock/unlock options. I read on Fortin that my THAR-For4 shuold be enough to use lock/unlock feature on CL6 but it does'nt work, So I guess I have to open the kick panel and split wires there. I paid $5 for wirecolor.com subscription token to see if I can find wiring help but its created by a 5 years old so thats ok.

My question here is how to I connect heated seats to EVO-All and is there any way to add climate control to one of those auxilaries showing in the app (add it to evo then use auxialry to control it). If I can get wire colors and location of wires I can work with that. Thanks

P.S. I have evo flash tool and I checked my lock/unlock options are on in the Evo-All settings.

Yes, using the crossover cable. Yes using the right port on the evo-one (blue).

Tried sending the unlock command/lock command at the last steps of the sync. Door open and door closed. Didn't seem to matter.

Tried switching the protocol in the app to something else then back to Fortin.

Confirmed the "datalink" protocol is Fortin 2

Previously, this carlink was used with an evo-all for a different car and it worked great. Now it does not.

Can't seem to get the Carlink and Evo-One to communicate.

Using the crossover cable in the CL6 instructions and confirmed correct port on evo-one.

Tried the valet switch sync, the on-off-on sync, the unplug, red/blue sync

Tried sendin the unlock command/lock command at the last steps of the sync.

Tried switching the protocol in the app to something else then back to Fortin.

Confirmed the "datalink" protocol is Fortin 2 (there are no other options other than the FMH)

I have found a thread or two describing a problem just like this, but those solutions were mostly about not using the correct crossover, having the learn procedure not working as expected, so they weren't relevant to me, sadly.

Previously, this carlink was used with an evo-all for a different car and it worked great. Recently resubbed after a year to use in the Cross and have spent the better part of a week trying to figure this one out.

Tried all of the procedures in the programming FAQ as well as the workarounds. The procedures, each different type, all seem to work correctly, but the behavior never changes. Evo-one still unresponsive to the carlink.

Really wondering at this point if the ascl6 can do anything without splicing more wire / whether it's a bug / or ?

At a loss on this one.

At the last step of syncing (turning the car off), the red/blue flash 4 times. Can't seem to find a diagnostic for what this means.

RF-ALL ASCL6

I hve a 2008 Infiniti G37 Coupe that has an EVO All with T-Harness. Currently I have the EVO-ALL 642W installed for my RF Kit. I know that I cannot run the RF kit together with the ASCL6. My question is what wire changes (if any) do I have to make to the EVO-ALL harness in order to run ASCL6?

I've installed the EVO ALL with T-Harness (EVO NIST4) and the RFK942 RF kit to my 2016 Infiniti Q50 (3.0T). All works well.

I am considering adding the Car Link ASCL6 system to my car. My question is can I use the RFK942 together with the Car Link or will I have to choose between one or the other If I can use both, will I need something added to the existing T-Harness (EVO NIST4) in order to connect them both (such as RFA2A)?

To program your carlink,

make sure to follow their instructions on how to connect it to the EVO-ALL or EVO-ONE using their own HRN-LLRS-01 harness
setup the app for fortin
follow programming in car

EVO-ONE Programming

Following the RED LED on the BACK of the unit, not the one on top.

Igniton ON-OFF-ON (red led on evo will turn on solid)
Hit brake 4 times (red led will flash on each brake press)
At this point wait 10 seconds then shut off the car.

EVO-ALL Programming

Please first try the EVO-ONE. It was added to the EVO-ALL firmwares.

Otherwise, this older method is still functional.

Disconnect the 20-pin connector
Disconnect the 4-pin black connector
Press and Hold programming while inserting 4 pin connector.
Release when the LEDs are BLUE and RED
Press and HOLD programming button, wait until the BLUE and RED LEDs turn and then BACK ON. Release when they turn back ON.
Plug in 20-pin connector
Turn ignition ON, all three LEDS will turn ON
Wait 10 seconds, then turn off ignition.

Evo all & ascl6 program issue

2014 ram 1500 (standard key start) after successful programming, vehicle can be remote started by 3x lock only....H2 - fortin 2 is selected on in flashlink setting, ascl6 app protocol is set to fortin, RFA2A adaptor is connected but still no luck, both red and green led on ascl6 are on solid, been trying to get the evo all to pair with ascl6 with no success.

evo all led lights are stuck at step 8, will not go to step 9

1 - Disconnect the Black 4 pin power connector from the Evo-All.

2 - Press and Hold the Programming button on the Evo-All while plugging back the Black 4 pin connector.

3 - The LED’s on the Evo-All will begin to cycle. Keep pressing the programming button until the RED and BLUE LED’s are On.

4 - Release the programming button.

5 - Press and Hold the programming button again for 5 seconds. The BLUE and RED LED’s will blink once.

6 - Release the programming button.

7 - Cycle the ignition to the ON position.

8 - The RED, YELLOW and BLUE LED’s will be ON.

9 - Seconds later the RED and BLUE LED’s will blink once to confirm that the MyCar ID has been learned to the Evo-All.

10 - Cycle the vehicle’s ignition to the OFF position to Exit EVO-ALL programming.

Hi, I have installed EVO-ONE AND ASCL6 Carlink on my 2018 Subaru Outback Limited Push to Start , everything works the Carlink does remote start and shutoff the vehicle, but it won't open or lock the doors. Do I need to connect additional wires for it to be operational or program EVO-ONE in a Flash Link app?

Evo all (remote start-x) not pairing with ASCL-6

I recently purchased the start-x remote on amazon for my 2018 toyota sienna xle pts. I installed it with the harness supplied and it works great. I hit the lock button 3 times and it starts.

I have been trying to add the smart phone ASCL6 module but as of yet have been unable to get it to work.

I have flashed the start-x mudule to Fortin 2, and am using the supplied harness that came with the start-x for the rf accessory. The harness that comes with the ASCL6 does not fit.

The ASCL6 powers up fine, and the app seems to be working correctly. The problem comes when I try to "learn" the ascl6 to the start-x remote. Upon power up, I wait for red and blue and release the button. I then hold it in for 5 seconds and it flashes. Then, I cycle the ignition to "on" - this is where the instructions say the module shoudl flash blue and red indicating the module is now "learned". However, all I get is red/yellow/blue solid. I have also tried sending a lock signal from the ASCL-6 but no luck while in the learnign mode.

I purchased an Evo One a few months ago to add the ASCL6. Thought it was as simple as just plugging it in. Found out you need to purchase the Flashlink to set this up. Did that. Have no idea how to go from here. When I start the program it goes straight to asking me details of my vehicle:make, model, transmission, OEM alarm, System Setup, OEM remote, etct. Where or how do i add the ASCL6 optioin. I've tried everything and can't see to find the option to get this done.

I have the runtime set to 60 minutes in my EVO-ALL, but in the ASCL6 Car Link app the run time starts at 15 minutes. Is there anyway to correct this?

MyCar Programming without valet switch

How do I enter programming mode to get the MyCar module programmed without a valet switch? I have a 2013 Toyota Tundra and installed the Evo One in 2015. Everything works fine. I'm unable to get the Evo One into programming mode to accept the MyCar Telematics module (because I never had a valet switch). Is there any other way to get into programming mode without a valet switch?

The ASCL6 needs a horn/siren wire to tell the mode when the alarm has gone off. Can I use a connection on the EVO-ALL for this? The green wire?

When going through the pairing procedure of a mycar (ascl6, link6, teleconnect, carlink) to an EVO-ALL or EVO-ONE, send a Lock command from the APP instead of waiting for their autolearn at the last step of programming.
