Where to start?

Ok, fighting this thing for months. I bought a new module, programmed it, installed it, get the same no start as I did with old unit. I took the new one and reset. Reprogram and tried again and still nothing. I can't even get it to allow me to program the remotes to test the start function. So pulled it out, put the old one in and it tried to start after I pulled the OBD wire. Plugged it in and it started and ran for a few minutes and I tested everything. Great it works again...next morning, doesn't work. Single light flash and nothing. I started it with the key, did a remote start transfer and it took over. I pulled the key out and it stayed running for about a minute, then stopped. I tried again, nothing. So after 8 hours, I tried to remote start and it did, ran for about 10 seconds and shutdown. What's going on? Do I have a wire gremlin on the vehicle side? I disconnected all the harnesses wires, plugged them all back in and still nothing. Is there an alternative wiring?

EVO One with THAR-GM1 V2 in 2016 Chevy Cruze Limited Manual Transmission

Hello all,

I am getting ready to install an EVO One Module as a remote starter only, with a THAR-GM1 V.2 Harness in my 2016 Chevy Cruze Limited, with Flip Key and manual transmission. The wiring diagram only shows the Pink wire from the High Power (6 Wire) Harness being used. Does that mean I don't have to hookup the other 5 High Power Wires, or are they required for the unit to function? I haven't been able to find any wiring schematic for where the wires (aside from power and ground) hook up in my car. I guess I am unlcear on whether or not the GM Harness renders those other 5 wires unnecessary.

Thank you in advance.

Installed Evo on 2015 Silverado HD diesel and followed instructions, but remote start not working

2015 Silverado 3500 Duramax. Installed everything properly and followed all directions. Even watched install video to make sure. Have all settings set to factory, expect for diesel mode and 20s crank. Doors unlock when evo module is plugged back in after decryption, but remote start does nothing. I know the module is communicating because when removed the truck goes into theft protection mode and will not start. Please help.

Everything appears to be installed correctly, but it will not try to start.

2006 Chevy Trailblazer LS with Crimestopper RS4-G5 and EVO-ALL. Firmware is 70.18. Used connection 3 and Program 3 from the manual. Could not find where to get firmware 4.06 that every reference I find in support says is required. Guide #3309 Shows Firmware 70.18 is required and Firmware 70.21 is Minimum.

When I press start, I hear clicks from the Crimestopper. Then the door locks trigger and nothing happens. If I insert the key and turn it to on, it will try to start. If I then turn the key to start, it will start. When I then turn the key to off, it continues to run until I step on the break.

The door locks will both lock and unlock as expected.

If I remove the Fortin and press start, the Crimestopper cranks the engine, but it obviously doesn't start as there is no bypass.

INT-SL+ won't program to 2000 Silverado or be discovered by Flashlink Manager

I have a Fortin INT-SL+.

HW Ver 2

Firmware Ver 3.01

mfg date 04/2018

Service number 002102061867

I also purchased a Fortin flashlink-lite updater

I have a 2000 Chevy Silverado with an older Chrime Stoppers remote start, and had on omega

IB-GMBP.DB-PAS-23A Passkey override. The omega unit went bad and appears to be discontinued.

I purchaesd the Fortin unit to replace it. I just need the passkey function of the Fortin.

Wired it in configuration 5 without data link.

When I follow the programming instructions, the red light will come on, but not start blinking when the key is switched on. I have checked my wiring. I'm pretty sure I have it right. The red light also does not go out after I start the engine.

I read on this forum that GM trucks can be particularly hard to program and that there is a firmware version 3.06 that resolves the issue.

I bought the Fortin flashlink-lite updater to upgrade my firmware from 3.01 to 3.06

The flashlink-lite updater seems to be working with my laptop correctly. The Flashlink manager 4 shows the flashlink-lite updater as connected.

When I plug in my INT-SL+ the red light comes on for a few seconds and goes out. Flashlink Manager4 always shows the "module status" as disconnected.

I tried holding the INT-SL programming button before plugging the INT-SL into the Flashlink-lite. The red light stays on but the "module status" doesn't change.

I have seen youtube videos that show the Fortin modules connecting almost instantly when plugged into the Flashlink devices, so I think something is wrong. I suspect the INT-SL

I don't want to buy more stuff until I'm sure that I'm going to solve the problem.

I feel that I should troubleshoot the connection between INT-SL+ and Flashlink first, since those are Fortin factory connections. That eleminates my wiring as a potential issue in the flowchart.

Is there a way to tell if the INT-SL+ is bad?

2006 Chevy Trailblazer LS with Crimestopper RS4-G5 and EVO-ALL. Everything goes just perfectly with the install until the final step. If I then use the key to turn it on, it will run and continue running after I have turned it off and removed the key. Firmware is 70.18. Used connection 3 and Program 3 from the manual.
Does the Red led always need to come on 2020 Silverado 1500, Evo-one?

Hello, thanks for looking at my question. I am using an Evo one, with A GM 7 T harness in a 2020 Chevy Silverado 1500 Everything has gone pretty well I installed the T harness, attached both unlock leads to the gray BCM plug, and the tailgate/trunk lead to the pink BCM plug, double checked pins, and that looks good. The Evo1 lights up like it is supposed to, except after the step where I hit the program button 5 times under the yellow LED and turn to run, the RED Solid never comes on the first try. After failing 3 times, I expiremented and turned the key a few tries until it eventually turned red.

The steps resumed as expected I got the rapid flashing blue lights at on postion, went inside to windows computer and used the Dcrypter to record the key. that went well, no errors or issues with the fortin software. The problem is that the remote start does not work. Tried both the lockx3 and the lock+tailgate and it does not work to start car. Since the key flashed properly, and the LEDs resumed normally, is that red led lighting after the original 5 program button taps the issue, or are the 7 loose wires needing to be connected to something two greens, one blue, black, orange, orange and black wire.

I followed the wiring diagram, these 7 loose wires I find unnerving, was it inferred what to do with these wires as a profession because I am DIY and might need just a little more of an explanation.

2011 Silverado entered Theft Mode, help.

I connected the Evo All remote start to my 2011 Chevy Silverado Crew Bad. I was finally able to get it to fire up once by hitting lock three times on my manufacturer key fob. Then when I went to try again it didn't work, and so I tried the key and it went into theft mode.

I have been trying to get it out of theft mode all morning. I killed my battery but am charging it now. I am wondering is there a detailed setting I overlooked? I am pretty sure I have a chipped key, should I have selected premium instead of standard key?

Do I have to try to restart the whole process once I can fire my truck back up?
Evo-All sending ignition on thru data to external remote start/alarm, 2006 Silverado 2500HD

I have installed an Evo-All with Crimestopper SP-502 alarm/remote start system and the Evo-all is sending a continuous ignition on thru data signal to the SP-502 unit. This is verified by the key icon on the alarm remote and also the trouble code on the SP-502 when trying to remote start the vehicle. The Evo-All is programmed with firmware version 70.18. The wires are connected per guide number 61111 with the exception for trunk release (A13) which is N/A and Hood Status (A15) which is also N/A for this vehicle. The Evo-All is programmed per guide number 61111. The wiring from the Crimestopper SP-502 was connected to the Evo-All as per guide number 61111 and the remaining wires on the SP-502 were installed per the SP-502 installation manual.

The doors lock and unlock, but the continuous ignition through data from the Evo-All is preventing the SP-502 from setting the alarm, or remote starting the vehicle. I have verified each wire connected is correct per the manuals and wirecolor, vehicle specific instructions. What issues would cause a continuous "ignition on through data" signal from the Evo-All?

Thanks in advance for your help!

2015 Malibu will not shut down after remote start

2015 Malibu flip key. Evo all gmt1 installed. Vehicle starts correctly with 3x lock. Then will not shut down and will shift and drive without key in the ignition. It will then run indefinitely. Does not shut down after the 15 minute run time. Can not stop the engine from running unless I actually unplug the evo module from the vehicle. While running the red light is on on the evo and does not respond to the key being inserted into the ignition, the brake pedal or the fob. Brake lights function correctly on the car.
Solid Red LED immediately after plugging in Data-Link Wire

I have an EVO-ALL unit with T-Harness THAR-GM1. I went through the initial steps for programming, programmed the unit using the Flashlink Manager software. Reinstalled into the car, remote start did not work. Attempted to redo programming. Unit began displaying a solid Red LED. I held in the programming button and inserted the Data-Link wire and it immediately displayed the solid Red LED again. I continued to hold the button in for several minutes and the Red LED remains lit. I then tried to reconnect it to Flashlink Manager, and it detects it. I tried to reinstall the firmware and it installs. I take it back to the car to try programming again, and again i received the solid Red LED immediately. I am at a loss as to what the problem can be.

On the website it says remote start is only supported for years 2003 and older. Would remote start work on the 2001 using the EVO ONE and the 2003 guide and just hooking up the wires as found on here?

	http://www.bulldogsecurity.com/bdnew/vehiclewiringdiagrams.aspx

I also researched about the OBD wire and it appears to be the same.

I installed and programmed and flashed the bypass module with the aftermarket remote starter exactly as the installation instructions from the fortin website shows, dash lights up but no crank, my question is, is there a wire o wires that I'm missing or a setting on the flashlink manager.(years ago I did the same installation with evo all and crimestopper remote starer sp-502 on a 2011 chevy malibu with no problem.

Also the unit starts, shut down and immediatly try to restart at a longer cranking time, but never catch and stay running. On Bypass I have options A1-A11 and C1 ON everything else is OFF.
What option is best for Viper 5706V?

I am trying to figure out what the best route forward is for doing an install of a Viper 5706V in my 2001 Silverado. I looked at what your site states but am really at a loss as to which is the best option and which is compatible with the Viper alarm.

I am confident that I should be able to handle the install I just want to be 100% certain I get all the required bits up front. Any advice you could share would be much appreciated.

Cheers,
2014 Chevrolet Cruze - Evo-ALL with THAR-GM1 T-Harness won't remote start with 3xlock button

Unsure what the process is as for proper way to program the bypass module. Programmed it with the latest firmware available on 12/25/16 and it interfered with the anti-theft system and shut down the car completely and could not start at all. Programmed the module with the next previous firmware and was able to start the car normally and still can't remote start with OEM key fob. Went through the programming process to connect it to the vehicle and connect the wire to the OBD wire.

Chevy Trax 2014 Takes 4 Button Pushes To Start

I have a successfully working install for 2014 Chevy Trax with T harness. Current firmware updated and used the flash updater to customize for the specific car. Enabled the 3 lock button press OEM remote start option in the menu, saved those settings to the unit. Followed the key on/off proceedures to program the unit successfully.

For some reason, it takes 4 lock button pushes to get the starter to engage. Sometimes it take 2 sequences of 4 button pushes also. So sorta scratching my head.

The unit is presently attached under the dash and I dont have the service number for the unit. If it's critical, I can ge the number however.

1999 Chevy Tahoe wont start.

I have a 1999 Chevy Tahoe. I have the Crimestopper RS4-G5 remote start and am using the EVO all as my bypass module. I am using connection 3 and program 3. When attempting to remote start my vehicle the Evo's red and amber leds turn on. The vehicles fuel pump comes on, dash lights come on (just as if I'd turned the key to the on position) but the starter never turns on. I have verified that I have firmware 4.06 in the EVO ALL using the updater software.

When I press the brake pedal everything turns off except for the EVO red and amber leds. To get them to turn off I have to unplug the 4 pin connector(data link) from the RS4-g5.

Everything works except the vehicle wont start.
