Can't get the red LED to light to program module

Hi,

Installing EVO-ALL module (S/N 001A06268798 Firmware 4.18) on 2003 GMC Envoy. Conecting it to Crimestopper SP-400 remote starter. After connecting the module to the SP-400 data port I hold the button down until i get the blue led then I release. The blue led is constant. I then turn the key to the on/run position and the blue led goes out but no red led comes on. I checked the FAQ section out and tried a 50K resistor to ground on red/blue wire but no change. My only concern is the install guide says V4.06 ONLY but the book says it's backward compatable. I have the purple/yellow connected to purple in the OBDII coneector. The yellow to pink for ignition 1 and the yellow to blue/black on the SP-400. The data port 4 wire cable is also connected to th SP-400.

Any idea what the problem is?
