Engine shuts off after remote start

Installed the Evo on my 17 Ram 1500 tip key and it worked flawlessly for the last 8 years. Now all of a sudden after I start it remotely and insert the key the car shuts off after I press the brake pedal. Any input greatly appreciated.

Installed the fortin evo all with THAR-CHR7 and a 5706v w2w. Programmed according to instructions. Everything is working properly except I can't get the vehicle to remote start every single time. It starts and shuts off right after starting. Sometimes the truck will remote start and stay running like it should but not everytime. What could be wrong? Is it the firmware version?

I have an evo-one with t harness on an 06 ram, having an issue where it’ll start then lock the doors and it’ll shut off then my dash and everything will stay on as if it’s running, if I unplug it and plug it back in it’ll start again then die after relocking the doors then unplugging it and plugging it back in it will let me start with the key. Will provide firmware and review settings tomorrow to see if I have something set wrong

Does CHRT7 require any splicing or tapping for a 2024 Ram?

Considering buying a CHRT7 or CHRT6 for my 2024 Ramy 1500 Rebel with OEM remote start and keyless entry. I looked at the install guide, but its not quiet clear whether it requires splicing/tapping into any wires. (especially the parking lights, ignition, CAN low and High).

Looking for a module for 2007 ram 2500 diesel that has adjustable crank and wait to start times.

Initially installed the evo all with t harness. It doesn't have an option that waits long enough to start, also cranks too long making the starter drag.

i have the evo-all chrt 4 T harness have it flashed with the newest firmwhere and followed the instructions on splicing the yellow wires together and plugging everything in. the first time i used it it worked flawlessly.

but now every once and awhile after sitting like when i get out of work, and trigger the remote start, it keep hitting the starter, like it will crank the engine half a turn and stop, then hit the starter again, and again, and again, and then finally crank the enigne over and start. I am afraid this is going to damage the starter.

is this possibly a bad module or flash... i hooked it back up to my pc and all settings are correct.

I have the module set to diesel mode and the delay after pushing LOCK LOCK LOCK is only about 6 seconds. My truck has a glow plug monitor which tells you when its okay to start your truck, and on cold days, ie 35 degrees and below, the delay for this remote start is not long enough.

I installed the evo all with the T harness today, when I start it the starter is staying engaged too long. I installed the same kit acouple of years ago in a similar truck and did not have this issue with the over crank. I saw a previous question that says this issue is normal. Is it possible to go back to a previous firmware version as I dont not want to cause unnecesary wear and damage to my truck.

Hello i have a 2006 dodge ram 2500 5.9 cummins. I just got the EVO-CHRT5 kit for remote start only and tried installing it as per instructions and nothing worked. I found a youtube video where some plugged the t-harness in and spliced the two yellow wires together and spliced the purple wire with the green/red from the 20 pin connection. the truck horn cherps, and fuel pump turns on but gauge cluster wont work and truck wont turn on. I have the flash like and updated it with the newest version and activated the d.1 setting for diesel trucks. Any help would be much appricated.

When you request engine start with either the remote or the external activation wire it will not start, only when you hold the brake pedal will it engage. Once the engine is started, engine will not shut down with brake pedal or external activation wire.

So i installed my Tharch5 with T harness into my 06 dodge ram 1500, everything worked out as it should have and i had no problems, untill trying to remote start! after pressing lock three times the module runs through each light and i can hear my truck begin the process of attempting to start then nothing. i believe it tries twice before staying on the red led a couple times then locking the doors. anyone having this or similar issues?

Hi,

I tried multiple times to get the EVO-ALL module programmed / key decrypted, and after each attempt, after plugging in the module causes all 3 LEDs to flash 25 times, and the module does not respond to the key fob.

Verified all connections multiple times. Please advise what can be done to fix this.

installed Evo All & Remote start with T harness as per wiring instructions in 2009 Ram 1500 5.7L. Everything works except key takeover after remote start...starter kill is active when key is turned to start, brakes don’t disengage starter, blue antenna lights keep flashing while driving, vehicle is operable and drivable in remote start mode. The only way to shut the vehicle off is to use the fob start button to turn off remote start. Any insight to this would be appreciated.

installing a revo 1.1 remote starter on my Fortin Evo All unit chrt6 on my 2014 ram 1500. when programming the remote units i unplug the power cable. hold program button and plug power cable back in. i get a solid red and solid blue. i press the program button and hold until the blue and red lights flash out and come back on. I put the key in the ignition and turn to run position i get a solid yellow. red and blue are still lit. when i push the button on the remote unit to pair to module the red and blue light are suppose to blink to acknowledge the remote unit has been programmed. on my unit the red and blue light go out and only the yellow light remains on.

firmware 74.37. In my flash link setting under data protocols everything is greyed out i cannot select F2

Details:

2017 Ram, Gas, Tip Start, CHRT6, OEM Remote

Flashed with standalone, T-harness, with built in alarm, 74.[37] firmware, 6.0 hardware.

No hood pin, valet switch, or parking lights connected.

C1 and D1 enabled, #8 blue wire does not turn red when grounded.

Everything seems to be installed correctly. The key programs without issues. Flashes without issues. The blue light falshes each time the lock button is pushed. The yellow light comes on when it is started with the key.

Problem:

When I attempt to remote start (3x lock button on the EOM remote) nothing happens on the unit or in the truck. No attempt to start, no dash lights, nothing.

Any advice?

i installed a prostarter remote start with a fortin evo all. after starting with the remote start and i go to drive,

i turn the key and step on the brake to put in drive and truck shuts off and needs to be restarted, also sometimes

it will only start and run a few secs and shut off. but if i cancel it and retry it will run for preset time on install.

Installed as stand-alone just the other day and flashed the correct firmware. 3X remote start worked fine and the factory key fob would lock or unlock the doors ok. Now it will not work unless you repeatedly press a unlock or lock button. Once you get it working, then it works fine until the next day, then same problem again.

I have a 2010 Ram 2500 with gas engine. I have a set of Rock lights underneath my truck for an awesome look when it is parked. Can I hook up the Signal wire from the 20 pin harness of a EVO-CHRT4 to these lights instead of to the parking lights? these Rock lights draw 4.5 amps. Could I connect the signal wire to the ground of these rock lights?

I just bought the evo chrt4 and installed it on my 2012 ram 3500 diesel. Very easy to install but the delay for the grid heater does not work. Did i buy the wrong unit? When I looked it up on your website, this is what it recommended.

I have tested the ignition wire and i get a solid 12v but the module stays blur after programming. Can you list every mandatory connection? Running oit of ideas and have cleared and flashed and re updated the module with every update thats on there. Did test where you hold the button until it turns blue and tge module remains blue when vehicle is off and on the ignition/run. Bad module? Vehicle is standard key/tip

I connected everything the way it was supposed to be except for the data cable that is supposed to go to a rf antenna. I cant find one on my vehicle and am using my evo all with t harness as a stand alone remote start. I had to splice the red and black to a ground and power to get it going but the other two are not hooked to anything. I got it programmed correctly and when i hit the 3x lock it doesnt start or do anything.I have checked all the wires and everything is connected good and right. When i plug in the unit after plugging it into my computer all of the lights flash about 15 times then go off. I am not sure if I missed something but any help would be great. Thank you.

First I would like to know if my key(FOB) will work with the EVO all. I got the EVO-CHRT4, does that come preprogrammed for a 2012 Ram 1500, or do i need to flash it? Do I need a hood pin? I connected the yellow cable which fixed my first issue of no blinking blue light. The doors will lock and unlock, but no start on 3x lock. I saw on one forum to try a lock-unlock-lock sequence. I have not tried that yet. Any help is greatly appreciated.

also the yellow/green I am assuming gets isolated(taped) because it is later than 2010 model.

and the 1K ohm resistor for the parking lamp connection doesn't specify a wattage?

Push lock 3x and doors unlock but will not lock once running (but the tailgate locks). If truck shuts down then they will.

All functions work with rf kit and oem key, just wont lock doors after start up.

Evo is programmed to unlock and lock for oem alarm disarm.

Hello, I have a Fortin EvoAll CHRT6, and have tried to get his installed. It is just being installed as a standalone remote starter using the factory key fob.

I have the wiring correct (as far as I can tell) and have been able to complete the programming and updating the configuration to include C1 and D1 settings.

however, it will not start. Everytime I install it, go through the program, decrypt the key, and reinstall the device, clicking the lock button 3 times gets the doors locked and the blue light flashes each time, but nothing else.

What am I doing wrong? I am about at my wits end at this time.

I have a ram with the cummins diesel, and have an issue with the start. It starts fine when warm, but in cold weather, the truck starts hard, and I discovered it is because it doesn't have the delay it should for the grid heater to warm up. Diesel option on and off in the programmer doesn't make a difference as to how long after ignition on, it starts. Need help! It's too cold to walk outside already and it's only December!

I can't get my CHRT5 to work. I connected the 2 yellow ignition wires, and the green/red to purple for the MUX. Apparently this is all I need to do. Others on a Ram forum did this and got it to work. I'm thinking it might have to do with the programming with the module. The guy I bought it off of updated it for me, and turned on the 3x lock function. When I hold down the button and plug the data cable, I leave it on the blue light. I then plug everything in. Turn the key to on, and the blue light turns off. Then my dash lights flicker, and I get a check gauges light. Please help.

When I start the vehicle without using the remote starter, vehicle would function normally and when I stop the engine, I can not reach the off position with the key if transmission is not in Park. When I use the remote start, I can remove the key when not in park and leave the vehicle in drive per example

Second question, is it normal that after key takeover sequence that the first time I put the car in gear, the headlight turn on and then cluster and headlight would go off and on twice (blinking)?
