RFA2A Cable required with NIST1 THarness EVO-All?

I've just purchased (but not yet received) an EVO-All with NIST1 t-harness kit, along with RFK441 remote, reading the instructions it vaguely mentions an "RFA2A" cable. Is this required to make it compatible? Or does the tharness already have the adapter on it? Thanks!

EVO-NIST1 - Yellow LED never solid

I bought my EVO-NIST1 from Amazon for my 2009 Infiniti FX35 (push to start and AT).

	1) I followed the installation guide and connected the harness:

	　- The keyport

	　- OBDII

	　- Brake switch

	2) The white/black wire (A.19) of the harness is connected to the light blue wire of the push start　button

(Parking light wire (A.14) not connected at this time)

	3) Insert key to the keyport

	4) With the main unit, press and hold the programinng button and connect the 4-PIN datalink harness

 (Other harness connectors not connected)

	[Result]

I tried for about 3 minutes and blue, yellow, and red LEDs all blink together, not alternately.

Disconnect the 4-PIN connector (main harness) and return to Step 4) above and repeat, but yellow LED never solid.

Do I need firmware update my main unit?

I see below on my main unit:

 Model: EVO-ALL

 Date: 12/2021

 SN: 001A07 338558

2013 Nissan Maxima EVO-NIST1 not working at all

I bought the EVO-NIST1 remote starter harness which was supposed to come pre-programmed for my car.

I connected the connectors to key slot, brake and OBD II. The LEDs on the Fortin unit just constantly flash.

There is no way to do any 'programming' as the black 4pin connector doesn't connect to anything on the other end.

Am I doing something wrong? This should have been plug and play.

Thank you

2012 G37x won't remote start unless factory fob is present in vehicle.

G37 is automatic and push-to-start. I have installed the T-harness and programmed the Evo successfully multiple times. I tried different options with the Flash link updater as well.

While monitoring the Evo's LEDs, I can see the blue LED flash with each lock press. After the third press the red LED comes on for a second and the brake lights come on. Red LED flashes a few more times like it's trying to start but to no avail. It repeats this process for 2 or three times I think.

If I hit lock x3 while the key fob is in the vehicle, it starts right up.

I have double checked all my connections. Considering that it's a T-harness, this shouldn't be an issue.

Juke still runs after brake press even without key

1: Everything works fine, but I think I found a glitch. If I remote start my 2016 Juke and leave the key inside after unlocking the doors, pressing the brake flashes the parking lights like it should but it still leaves the car running... WITHOUT THE KEY IN THE VEHICLE!!!

2: If I then try to shut it off by going back in the house and lock-lock-lock it does nothing as it has been placed in 'take over mode' or whatever it's called. I have to physically push the start/stop button to shut it off. THEN it starts back up because I recently pressed lock-lock-lock.

First issue scares me the most.

EVO-ALL NIST1 no start, press brake light on.

I've done SOOOOOOOOO much searching and nothing has helped. 2016 Juke PTS T-harness, everything connected properly (verified voltage and connected PTS wire (black/white A19)). Brake lights come on after my programmed lock-lock-lock, Fortin clicks a few times (relays inside) but car won't start then the red LED blinks 3 times and that's it.

The entire time the amber dash 'press brake' icon is displayed.

Thinking I have now wasted my money buying this starter that after about a month of trying to install still does not work.

No Start

EVO-NIST1 with the t harness all connected properly at the key port connector the ODBII connector and the brake pedal connector. EVO loaded with the latest firmware and programmed per the instructions and did get the flashing blue, yellow and red lights. I even added the REVO RF remote but when it comes time to remote start the car nothing. After pressing lock lock lock I see the EVO blue light coming one. Then the EVO does its cycle to red light and I get the brake light confirmations but no start. The dashboard does not even come on and I swapped between RL1 and RL2.

Which locks should I have on or off on Evo-All?

I am using the D1.1 Lock-Unlock-Lock option on a 2014 Nissan Maxima PTS, OEM key fob. I have turned ON: A1; D2; and D5. Do all these need to be on? I want to avoid unnecessay locking/unlocking. Also, truck does not open from key fob when remote start is on. When I open the truck via request button on trunk the car shut-off, which it's supposed to do. I don't understand why the key fob won't do it while remote started. If the car is off the key fob trunk button works. Thank you.

Remote Started But..

I just finished installing and programming the EVO-NIST1 as a standalone on my 2016 Juke Nismo PTS. When I got to STEP 7, I pressed on the brake and red + blue LED lit up. Red LED only stayed on for 2 secs and blue LED remained on. I tried it multiple times and got the same result. As I continue to program, everything works as the guide described. Should that draw any concern?

I installed EVO-NIST1 kit to my Altima 2010 few days back, car starts fine with 3x lock using oem remote, however, i cannot understand when does it decide to shut the engine off. First few times it started fine and didnt shut off, last two times the following happened:

Yesterday i unlocked the doors using the door handle buttons while key is in my pocket, opened back doors to get the kids in, then the engine was shut off.

today i remote started, unlocked the driver door using door handle button and got in, key in my hand, put the key inside the door pocket, put gear lever to D, engine shut off.

when i've done the installation, i did the following:

- spliced push to start brown wire / Evo white/black wire

- installed all T harnesses as instructed

- programming as instructed

- didnt connect any other wire

I purchased the EVO ALL for my Altima 2012, I installed it as instructed, I plugged in all connectors and spliced 2 wires, the first one is the black/white from the EVO to the brown wire at the push button, the second wire is the parking light wire, it's the brown wire from the EVO going to the red/blue wire in the fuse box. I programmed the EVO and all lights appeared as expetced, however, the car doesn't start remotely, i tried it with the key inside and still no luck, whenever i push the remote lock key i see a blue light on the EVO. I rechecked all connections and everything seems intact, plase tell me what i'm missing here.
Remote start does not work on Altima 2012

I'm having a strange issue with my EVO-NIS1 remote starter, I initially installed the kit without connecting the parking light wire, the remote starter worked well for 2 days. I woke up in the morning and the car battery was dead, I jumped the car but the remote starter stopped working, I checked the wiring and everything seemed fine, i reprogrammed the EVO with the flash link and reconnected the wires and did the programming as I did initially. The problem that I faced is not seeing any red or blue lights, It got stuck at the steady yellow (step 4). the car still works fine but without the remote starter which is still installed, the only time the remote start worked is when i was in the car already. I went back to connect the parking light and tried to program it again but i still got stuck at the steady yellow light. I don't know what to do to get passed step 4. Please help. Thanks.

2008 g35x no longer needs OEM keyfob?

I just installed the EVO-NIST1 standalone with the Fortin RF642W RF Kit on a 2008 Infiniti G35x according to Guide 24031 and have a couple comments & questions after playing around with it:

	1) LOCK x3 works with the OEM fob, however it cannot remote stop the car with LOCK x3 again. This is known, so it is not a problem.

	2) After remote starting the car and unlocking it (either with door button or with either of the fobs), I can open the door, step on the brake, and I am able drive away. That works as intended, but the problem is I can drive away without having the OEM key fob around. The instrument cluster screen does not say NO KEY like it normally would if the key has left the car. In other words, one would be able to drive off without having any remote on them as long as the car gets remote started followed by an UNLOCK signal. Are remote starts intended to bypass the need to have the OEM Intelligent keyfob for the take-over?

	3) While the engine is off, the LOCK signal from either the RF fob or OEM fob will lock the doors and prompt the RF antenna's LED to start flashing (blue) and will not stop unless I press the UNLOCK botton on either remote. What is this flashing for? Can this be disabled? I do not need or want any alarms or extra security features. I am more concerned about it draining the car battery. Please advise.

	4) After remote starting, the first press of UNLOCK with the RF fob ONLY turns off the Antenna's flashing. I have to press unlock a second time to unlock the car, however it would unlock all four doors at once. I had configured it through Flash Link (B1 on) to unlock driver door on first press, and lock all on second press but that isn't the case. What exactly happens on the first UNLOCK that stops the antenna's LED flashes? Can I get the unlock button to unlock the doors on first press?

	5) How does IDLE mode pertain to push-to-starts where the key does not need to be in the ignition? I'm guessing it is not needed but just want to be sure.

	6) I had to use the RL2 connector to get remote starter to work, although the guide says RL1 for G35. This might be the issue with folks who cannot get their '07 - '08's to remote start.

EVO-NIST1 - Shuts down if you don't open the door

Hello,

I recently install an EVO-NIST1 on a 2010 Maxima with a Fortin 2-way RF kit. I noticed when testing sitting inside the car, if I remote start the vehicle and press the brake the car will shut off. Pressing the unlock button on the RF remote doesn't seem to help. If I open and close the door the handoff seems to function as intended.

Is it necessary for the EVO to see the door pin signal before it will allow the handoff to the vehicle? Is there a setting I can change? Thanks!

Remote starter kit for 2007 altima

Hi. I want to install remote start on my 2007 nissan altima. The recommended kit is the evo-nist1. It also appears that some altima owners use the evo-all. But the chart for my vehicle on your website only checks off remote start as an option under the evo-one kit. This leaves me a bit confused. What options do i have for a remote start system and of those do i need anything else such as a rf kit?
Conflicting info: Docs 12651/12661

I sold quite a few NIST1 based on the compatibility shown in document 12661 and according to that document, the RF kit/remote start is optional - so we sold them as 'stand alones'.

We had several problems with customers whose EVOs did not pick up 3x lock and later saw document 12651 which has the same exact list of compatible vehicles. but says that the remote start IS needed.

Which document is correct?

I have a customer with a 2009 FX50. It is listed on both installation documents. 12651 says he needs the NIST1 AND a remote start.....12551 says he only needs the NIST1.
Radio Not Working after remote start

Nope, that doesn't make any sense to me. I don't really understand how to let it learn, and what it means here. I know what you mean, by settings everything up, like a default settings, so when I remote start, everything would be running at I last started. But, I don't have an option in my car to disable the radio, that doesn't exist. There is no way to screwed the functionnality of the radio manually. Only thing that screw it up, is the remote start.

What I understand from you, is that the CAN-BUS is not related, cause all it does, is the same sequence as someone sitting in the car. So, why is there a CAN-BUS connector on the unit then, I can remove this then...

Could you please explain the let it learn the settings while the EVO has the car started? Cause the radio not working, is not a settings I can set.

2009 Infiniti FX50S - No sounds from Radio after remote start

When I use the remote start function, the car starts fine, but half of the time, the sound from the radio is not working. Sound from bluetooth, from DVD is working fine, but not from radio. Only does that with remote start.

2008 Altima BCM lock/unlock slots are populated.

I am installing an EVO-ALL with TNIS1 and Arctic Start CM800 into a 2008 Nissan Altima SE. I am using guide # 12651. The guide shows that BCM slots 15 and 37 should be empty, mine are populated with blue/red in 15 and blue/black in 37. Should I connect to these wires or am I in the wrong spot?

2013 Quest - will T-Harness accomplish all connections for Remote Start.

I am interested in your EVO-NIST1 bundle of the EVO-ALL and Nissan T Harness. I have reviewed the install documentation but still have some questions.

I want to use this system for remote start, my vehicle is a 2013 Quest with Push-to-Start. I do not have a seperate remote start system.

Does the use of the T-Harness accomplish all the wire connections necessary?

Where to connect 12V power

Hi,

I just bought the EVO-ALL with cables ( THAR-NIS1 ) for my 2012 Nissan Juke PTS.

I find the cables is a bit different from all the versions of your instructions. The best match I'm using is Rev.20140327 ( Guide #12681 ). There is a very small module ( like a relay ) along the 4-pin Data-Link cable that never been mentioned in any document. What is it ?

Should I just cut the 4-pin Data-Link's RED & BLACK wires at the RF-KIT end, then connect 12V & ground to them ? Will this affecting the above "module" ?

I have photos of the cables. When you answer me through email, I can attach them there at that time.

Thanks.

Is the EVO-NIS1 just the EVO-ALL with the t-harness?

What exactly is the EVO-NIS1 product? Is it just a bundled product or something completely different than the EVO-ALL?
