Bypass for 2011 Ford Ranger, 80-Bit

I'm working with a customer who has a 2011 Ranger with the 80-bit key. EVO-RIDE only lists 40-bit in the compatibility chart. EVO-ALL sas it's compatible with that vehicle, but makes no mention of either key type in the compatibility chart.
FAQ - BCM will not learn bypass kit transponder.

	Problem:

The installer is unable to program the bypass kit's onboard transponder into the vehicle's BCM (Body Control Module).

In the majorority of these cases the remote starter timing is not fast enough to enable the vehicle's ignition and the bypass kit's transponder output so the vehicle's BCM times-out in the middle of the installation programming procedure.

	Solution:

The vehicle and bypass kit will need to be 'hot-wired' near the end of the programming sequence in order to enable the Bypass kit's output before the BCM times-out. In most cases (referring to most bypass kit programming procedure) once the second key has been removed the vehicle's ignition will need to be powered up and the bypass kit's ground-out-while-running input will need to be grounded. In some cases the vehicle's 2nd ignition or accessory wire will also need to be powered up and furthermore on very select few models the key sense wire will also need to be grounded.

FAQ - EVO-RIDE will not program with Ford 80-bit SA stamped key.

Symptom: The EVO-RIDE will not program with a Ford 80-bit SA stamped key.

Cause A: The EVO-RIDE has an older firmware version that does not recognize the key.
Solution A: Update the EVO-RIDE to firmware version 1.03 (or newer) with the FLASH-LINK UPDATER and program the module.

Cause B: Even though the key is 80-bit the vehicle may not be equipped with 80-bit encryption. On 80-bit systems the immobilizer power wire at pin #1 of the immobilizer connector has +12VDC when the key is inserted. On 40-bit systems the immobilizer power wire only has +12VDC with ignition.
Solution B: If the vehicle is a 40-bit system - Download the latest EVO-RIDE installation guide and follow programming procedure #2.

Cause C: The Yellow (Immobilizer Power) wire of the EVO-RIDE is connected to the vehicle's ignition and not connected to pin #1 of the immobilizer connector.
Solution C: Connect the Yellow wire of the EVO-RIDE to pin #1 of the immobilizer connector.

FAQ - EVO-RIDE will not program in 2012 Ford Focus

	Problem:

The EVO-RIDE will not program to the vehicle's immobilizer.

The vehicle will not go in to programming to accept a new key. This will prevent a new key from being programmed with either 2 existing keys or with the dealer scan tool.

Vehicles that exhibit this issue may have an instrument display that resembles the one shown in the following diagram:

	Solution:

The following procedure may need to be tried 4 to 10 times in order to successfully get the vehicle in to programming mode.

Have some aluminum foil ready to wrap one of the keys near the end of the following procedure.

		Open the drivers door.

Press LOCK on the 1st key and wait 1 second.

Insert the 1st key in to the ignition barrel. The door locks should activate (move to the UNLOCK Position). If the door locks do not activate go back to step 1.

Turn the key to the ON/RUN position and wait 3 seconds.

Turn the key to the OFF position and remove the 1st key. Wait 3 seconds.

Press LOCK on the 2nd key and wait 1 second.

Insert the 2nd key in to the ignition barrel. The door locks should activate. If the door locks do not activate go back to step 1.

Turn the key to the ON/RUN position and wait 3 seconds.

Turn the key to the OFF position and remove the 2nd key.

Press and release the programming button on the EVO-RIDE. The LED on the EVO-RIDE should blink once.

Insert a key with the head wrapped in aluminum foil, and turn the ignition to the ON/RUN position.

If the LED on the EVO-RIDE flashes 10 times then the module is now programmed.

If the LED on the EVO-RIDE flashes 3 times then the module did not program. Go back to step 1.

Evo-Ride + Remote Start pair to Ford Fiesta 2014

I just bought an Evo-Ride to a Ford Fiesta 2014 (without start button). I found that www.fortinbypass.com/datalink/ page was removed. I found that Evo-All have support to 3 datalink protocols. Does the same happens with Evo-Ride? I need to know what Remote Start Systems have support to Fortin Datalink. Thank you.

2007 Toyota Tacoma & EVO-RIDE: Dinging when door is open, but no key

EVO-RIDE Service Number: 000903020460

As soon as power is applied to the EVO-RIDE (through the data link cable), the car begins dinging as if there is a key in the ignition. It continues to ding as long as the ignition is off and the door is open.

The remote start works, but all warning lights in the instrument cluster remain on even after key take-over. Owner needs to press brake to release the remote-start, then re-start vehicle with the key to resolve the warning lights.

Module came with formware version 2.03. Tried re-flashing to 0.17 as recommended by technical support since it is supposed to resolve the "Toyota Key Sense" problem. Both firmware versions exhibit the same behavior.

Remote start system is Cromestopper Cool Start RS3-G4, connected to EVO-RIDE through data link.

2012 Expedition SA keys EvoRide wont program

After fighting like an idiot, I finally came to the FAQ where it says, even with SA keys it might be a 40 Bit. YESSSSSSSS column looks like a 2009 F250 it all makes sens. So I program Evo Ride like a 40 Bit. All sequence goes good, led flashes, hit brakes, remote shut down. Try to star truck it starts. yey . Attach byass under dash ect. Try again , No Start. Being a 40 Bit I decide to try a Key Overide All. did same truck started righ away on programing sequence. attach modul under dash ( very softly not to pull any wires away. 0 truck don start again Theft light is flashing like it should with wrong transponder.

Evo-Ride Not Programming In 2003 Nissan Altima

Previous same question never posted to site?

Evo-Ride hardware v3 firmware 2.03, hardwired into 2003 Altima with 8 pin immobilizer connector, will not program. Remote starter works fine with key in ignition. All programming steps and LED blinks are good until key is turned on. Red LED goes solid red every time. All immobilizer wiring checked, metered, and confirmed correct in factory service manual. While troubleshooting, I found that pressing the programming button 5x (instead of 4x) then turning the key on, the red LED will blink 10x like it was programmed correctly. But the car will not remote start and the red LED stays on solid even after remote starter shuts down. Repeated programming process, same results. Tried another new Evo-Ride, exact same problem.

Can the Evo-Ride be reset or firmware upgraded if needed?

Any help will be appreciated. Thanks!

Having trouble programing evo-ride to ford f150

I have a 04 f150 and everytime i go through the programing for the keys and then start the remote starter the lights come on like its fixing to start then the red truck led starts flashing and it doesnt trun on. i have one original key and another one i got made at walmart they just put int in a machine and cloned it or somthing could this affect the programing since maybe the system thinks it is the same key instead of another one. also the remote starter is working because when i have the key in the igniton and without being truned forward the remote starter will turn the truck on and off. is here another trick to programing the evo-ride to this truck that is not specified in the instrucition sheets?

Car starts 30 second then shut off

Evo ride is connect to Crimestopper D7. The car run for about 30 seconds and shut off. It trys to start again and then shutoff again. I think its not sending a tach signal????

When I program the evo ride I dont get the 10 flashes. But it starts with out the key.

Is the ground while running needed?
