Hi,

I was trying to update the firmware of my Flashlink Updater v5 from 4.8 to 4.11. I followed the procedure in the Flashlink Manager screen but disconnecting and connecting the Flashlink Updater, the progress stuck at 1% and the Flashlink Manager closed while the blue and green lights were blinking. Now the Flashlink Updater is bricked and it cannot be recognized by the Flashlink Manager. Please let me know what can I do to get it back?

RFK942 Antenna Not Recognized by FlashLink

I bought an RFK942 kit, but the antenna is not recognized by FlashLink when plugging it in. I programmed the keys after connecting it it the EVO-ALL. Everything is working perfectly. I just wanted to see if I can upgrade the antenna to the latest firmware.

There is an evo all (s/n 001A06 756559). It doesn't update through flashlink manager (because it's older than 5 years). But why can't I change the options in the firmware version currently installed in the module (I can't change any options in the program)?

After getting my evo-one reseted, I continued to reinstall remote start, however after clicking my vehicle preferences on flashlink manager it does not allow me to flash, its like it loads a little bit and then crashes and continues to guide me back onto the same screen. Any advice?

Do I have to buy the Flashlink mobile to use this remote start?

I’m not sure if I need to buy the Flashlink mobile thing in order to install the remote start. I was not made aware that I needed anything else besides what came in the box. I also am having issues downloading the Flashlink mobile app on both of my computers.

In Flashlink Manager, I am able to connect the Flashlink Updater (red LED on device solid and status shows "Connected"), but when I plug the Updater into my EVO-ONE the module will not connect to the Updater.

Using Flashlink Manager v4.62, and Flashlink Updater has firmware v4.08.

I've just installed a Evo All and RFK 942 on my 2015 GMC Sierra. No issues at all during install or programming and the system is working (sort of). The problem I'm having is this: intermittently the unit does not seem to receive commands from the remotes and/or no confirmation is sent back to the remotes. About 1/2 the time when pressing a button on the remote, I get the multiple blue LED flashes followed by the red LED and the beep indicating out of range. Or the vehicle responds but the key fob does not confirm it (no beeps or LED flashes on the key fob). It happens with both key fobs and distance from the vehicle does not matter. I can be 6 feet from the truck or 200 feet - same result (I haven't tried from any further away yet). I was thinking maybe there's an issue with the antenna and then I realized that the antenna firmware can be updated. I connected the antenna to the Flashlink 4 and it does not detect it. Does this confirm that the antenna is bad? Or am I doing something wrong?

Just for context, I'm a professional Automotive Technician at a GM dealership and have some experience installing remote start systems. This is the first Fortin system that I've worked with.

Edit: I tried again and managed to connect the Flashlink to the antenna. The antenna firmware is already up to date.

Installed a Evo One into 2021 Mazda CX-5 with a add-on DSM550. The Evo one was updated to firmware 85.12 (Bypass) and1.26 (Remote Start) and XL202 saved (supposedly). Remote start works fine however DSM550 is not able to commincate with EVO. Double checked the unit options and XL202 desappered. I did try changing firmware versions, some of them I was able to get xl202 to appear but soon as I disconnect the data link and reconnect it, XL202 has disappered. Now I am out of Firmware update flashes. Any ideas what my next step should be in troubleshooting this issue?

Trying to get everything prepped before install, have evo-vwt1 with tb-vw and when trying to program the module, it auto-fills the "installation method" step with "key in a box" and says 1 sacrificed key no decryptor. I want to use the decryptor, but theres no combination of settings that enables it as an option. running newest software and firmware, do i need to start the install and try to pull key data first? i didnt want to continue because i wont use this kit if i need to burn a key for it to work

I have a 2021 evo one unit that i want to use on a 2019 mazda cx-9 grand touring reserve. The unit has a QR code and not a barcode. Can the flashlink 4 still program it? It a evo one 912 kit that was previously used in a different car. Side question, how can i reset this to factory before installing it on my car or do i even need to?

The truck will remote start once without any issues. The second attempt at remote start sets the factory alarm off and will not start the truck. Not sure what I'm doing wrong. I have the flash link updater so i can change whatever settings you recommend. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have a 2000 Chevy Silverado with an older Chrime Stoppers remote start, and had on omega

IB-GMBP.DB-PAS-23A Passkey override. The omega unit went bad and appears to be discontinued.

I purchaesd the Fortin unit to replace it. I just need the passkey function of the Fortin.

Wired it in configuration 5 without data link.

When I follow the programming instructions, the red light will come on, but not start blinking when the key is switched on. I have checked my wiring. I'm pretty sure I have it right. The red light also does not go out after I start the engine.

I read on this forum that GM trucks can be particularly hard to program and that there is a firmware version 3.06 that resolves the issue.

I bought the Fortin flashlink-lite updater to upgrade my firmware from 3.01 to 3.06

The flashlink-lite updater seems to be working with my laptop correctly. The Flashlink manager 4 shows the flashlink-lite updater as connected.

When I plug in my INT-SL+ the red light comes on for a few seconds and goes out. Flashlink Manager4 always shows the "module status" as disconnected.

I tried holding the INT-SL programming button before plugging the INT-SL into the Flashlink-lite. The red light stays on but the "module status" doesn't change.

I have seen youtube videos that show the Fortin modules connecting almost instantly when plugged into the Flashlink devices, so I think something is wrong. I suspect the INT-SL

I don't want to buy more stuff until I'm sure that I'm going to solve the problem.

I feel that I should troubleshoot the connection between INT-SL+ and Flashlink first, since those are Fortin factory connections. That eleminates my wiring as a potential issue in the flowchart.

Is there a way to tell if the INT-SL+ is bad?

about a year ago I purchased evo-one for my mitusbishi lancer se 2012 it was working fine until i stop using it for 2 months I updated the firmware to the latest. when I tried to reset it and reprogram it the lights flash but the engine doesn't want to turn over. I get a warning that my driver side door is open which its not and the when I hit the button on the key the first time the red lignt next to the reset switch flash raipdly when i hit it the second time it slows down and the third it turns off

now on the module itself the three leds first the blue then the red goes soild then the yellow and back to blue flashing

I want to know how can I downgrade the firmware for the remote starter and bypass. because I think that what making it not work right

I have Flashed the INT-SL+ with 0.17 via the instalation manual Guide#90081

It says to load Firmware 79.65 to the EVO-ONE. The highest option available is 79.56.

I cannot get he INT-SL+ to program to the car via the lock button.

The EVO-ONE will learn the key and flash red 10x, but when I go to the next step to hold the programming button on the INT-SL+ then connect connector 1 and keep holding while connecting connector 2. The Led is supposed to light up, but nothing happens.

I am looking to get a viper remote/antenna, with an XL202, but before doing that i went to make sure I could configure my evo-one properly. Problem is, it appears that I can't.

I have just installed the EVO-ONE-942 with THAR-ONE-MAZ3 on my 2016 Mazda CX5 Automatic Push Start.
Everything seems to work just fine, but I had a couple of questions ...

When I did the programming with Flashlink manger I went throigh the "wizard" step by step, and picked
that my car already has an OEM Alarm system (I verified by rolling window down, locking, then unlocking,
and it sounded the alarm). I chose not to use the OEM remote for starting, just the Fortin RF one ...
I also did not install the Valet switch, or the Hood pin.

Question, since it seems to work I am assuming that I didn't need to enter manual options to fine tune anything?

Also, when I went through the programming, would I automatically get a firmware update or did I have to do
that step manually and I missed it? My unit was made at the end of 2020 so I assume it's fairly up to date?

Flashlink Manager not detecting EVO-ONE

When I connect my EVO-ONE to my flashlink it stays stuck at 10% Currently Fetching Options.

It refuses to connect. I am able to get connected in PRO mode. Bypass works fine in PRO Mode, but the remote starter tab crashes the connection.

Is my device defective or is there a fix for this? I am using the latest version of Flashlink as well as the latest firmware on my evo one.

I completeted module programing and tried to program RF641W but kept failing. When entering the mode there is no horn chirping even pressing the button 5 times. Also the antenna led stays off after pressing brake pedal. Kept trying and all of a sudden the LED for RF programing turned red solid. Even when connecting flashlink, it failed to connect with the RF programing led stays on while there was no issue conneting it a couple hours ago. Any advice would be appreciated.

when selecting bypass i get the page... updated to latest software 79.65 , but i cannot select stand alone installation in the vehicle setup because its not in drop down of vehicle selection and therefore i dont get a D1 tab or the RF tabs ... hardware version is 4.0

Recently bought EVO-ONE to toyota tacoma which came preinstalled firmware. Had not ordered RF kit at the tim of order. Now want to RFK442 or RFK942 for better range.

Question. 1 - Do i need to enable RFkit support or is that already come enabled by default?

Question 2 - Any easy way to validate firware setup or do i need to purchange flash link\

Question 3 - Assuming need to purchase Flashlink interface unit, what is the step to just enable rfkit support without messing existing programming/setup.

Tundra G key 2010 Final program fail

2010 Tundrea with G key. Harness bought so no cutting/soldering of wires. I get to the final stage (this has been going on for weeks) and I connect the unit with the big white cable whilst holding the program button in. The lights flash as they should red/yellow/blue.I stop on red and blue. I then connect the 3 remaining cables larger white, smaller white and red. Press the program button twice and the red blue light flashes and never completes.IF I enter the key and turn the igntion on before pressing the progrsam button twice it DOES complete but then the truck cranks but does not start as it is still immobilsed. So have run out of ideas on this.

Secondly I bought a flash link and had it sent to Asia where I live and this is now showing "limit reached"??This is service l number 002504 07557 for Evo One module serial number 002B04 015151.

So can you help with the program problem and also reset my Flash Link. I am 12 hours ahead of Canada so "calling" cusstomer care from the other side of the world does not work.

Hello I recently bought an evo-one for my 2019 kia soul standard key, I downloaded the updated Flashlink manger software and cannot connect to program. I get a message status:not connected for both Flash-link-updater and module.

I get a solid red light on updater when i plug it in and have tried multiple usb cables just to be sure and no lights on the Evo-one.

If I go ahead and click flash-link-firmware update the red led stays lit and the green also lights and stays on

not very much info 02 m/t rsx and the uplink ...i have all the alarm and oem fob door locks and hood sensor which guide shall i follow? do i need tyo return this product and get something else the guids are very confusing as well as the infor the evo one has trhe security alarm the stufff i need and the thuing has a wire loop that uim assuming if cut goes for automatic vrs mt?

There are only two methods listed in the flashlink manager HON6 and wire to wire .. HON7 is not listed and can't flash my module. Does anyone have the same issue's if so what did you do? Am I missing something.. Thanks in advance

Everything hooked up properly, vehicle key info pulled, slow blue flash, plug it into my comp and nothing happens. Just says the PC is unable to detect the flashlink updater through USB port.

Going to be ordering and installing a Fortin Evo One with a Thar-For4 Harness and Flashlink adapter in a 2011 Mustang GT Manual Transmission. Other than the Clutch Bypass that I am familiar with are there any other required items for the install? Also is there a certain way to program the Evo One to know it must be put into reservation mode to be started or does it read from the car that it is a manual transmission and requires it?
