Manual Transmission Prog. & Wiring Ford Focus

Hi,

Looking for some information before I pull the trigger on buying a Fortin remote start kit. I have a 2012 Ford Focus, Manual Trans. with Push-To-Start.

When I enter the vehicle details it only has a guide for Automatic trans, but the EVO-ONE-411 is compatible with manual trans just no guide.

Is there a T-Harness that works with the push to start & manual trans, and would this EVO-ONE-411 be able to be programmed for the manual remote sequence on this car? How much extra wiring is needed? I assume I also have to perform a clutch switch bypass with relays.

Thanks for the help in advance, hoping to get this working before the snow starts flying :)

Hi there,

I want to set up a turbo timer for my ford focus its an automatic transmission with the Evo-One. What settings do I need to enable on the evo one to allow me to do this? As well how do I use the turbo timer on an automatic transmission. Do I just need to put the car in park set the E brake and hold the start button on my rfk912 remotes then promptly exit the vehicle and locking the vehicle behind me.

DCryptor Process - 2013 Ford Focus

Hello, I have a 2013 Focus Standard Key. I am using a EVO RS FORT 1 system with flashlink 4. The car will act like it is about to start, will say no key detected. I have looked in the installation guide and we do all insturctions, then when we plug it into the flashlink manager to clone the key through the dcryptor process, it will say no key info. How do I get the module to have 'key info'? Any info helps. Thanks

I have the Evo-All T harness updated with the flashlink-2 in my 2017 Ford Focus and I see a setting on the programmer to turn on the seat warmer on in cold weather. Currently it is 6 degrees and it still wont turn on. Is this a feature my car is compatible with or did i miss a wire?
Why are datalink protocols F1 F2 F3 off?

	Hi

I have been having issues with my remote starter system. My setup is a regular type with an Evoall and a crimestopper LC1 unit. Remote start doesn’t work after car battery replacement. 3x lock doesn’t do anything.

I tried to start the car with the remote that came with the LC1 unit and it does work! The OEM remote (3x press) does nothing but blue led flashes everytime i press it.

Im looking at the enabled features on my evoall unit and noticed that all data protocols (F1, F2 and F3) are off. Im curious if this is normal?

What else could i check on my setup?

	Thanks

2013 Ford Focus EVO-ALL won't complete programming

I am trying to program an EVO-ALL in a 2013 Ford Focus with two original working factory keys. I get to step 5 and insert the first key. The yellow light comes on and goes off. When I insert the second key the yellow light does not come on. I press the program button in step 8 and the ignition comes on. The red light remains solid. The blue light blinks 20 times and then everything shuts off. I have verified the wiring is correct.

Any suggestions on why the module key bypass will not program?
2002 Ford Focus / Key-Override-All / Will Not Program

Installed a Key-Override-All with a Crime Stopper 'CoolStart RS4-G5'. The Crime stopper works great with a key in the ignition only to satisfy the transponder.

I have tried several time to program the Override unit with no success. I am using Connection (1) with the Data Link. The RX,TX and IGN wires are connected directly to the ignition switch transponder. The Blue wire is connected to the Yellow/Black on the Crime Stopper (Ground When Running (Bypass Module).

I am using Program (2). I press the programming button and plug in the 'Black Connector' and the (6) pin connector. The red light comes on. I than program the keys and than hit the remote start. The red light blinks (3) quick blinks and thats it. The car never remote starts with teh 'Override' however the car will remote start and perform predictably as long as there is a PATS key in range of the transponder ring give me the understanding all is will except the 'Override' module.

Can you tell me what I am doing wrong?

EvoAll standard to standalone

	Hello

I have a EvoAll with a crimestopper LC1 remote module. I haven't installed it yet but I assume this system runs as a standard system and not standalone.

my car is a 2015 Focus se sedan

I was wondering if is possible to disconnect the lc1 from the evo all and configure it to run as a standalone only unit? If so, what settings need to be changed on evoall?

also, I see the following cables on the lc1 unit. Can I just disconnect them?

ignition - out - goes to evoall key sense a1 and rs7 on thar-for1 (yellow/black)

 12v - in

Gnd when running - out - goes to a8 on evoall

	thanks

Correct EVO-ALL settings for 2011 Ford Focus

I was wondering how my EVO-ALL (stand alone) should be configured in order to turn on my heated seats and rear window defrost on a 2011 Ford Focus SES when it is remote started. It's hardware version 6 with the latest firmware installed.

The default settings on the EVO-ALL are A1-A11 set to ON, everything else OFF.

I have turned ON C1 & D1, and turned OFF A5 & A6. Is this the correct settings in order to make it automatically turn on defrost/seats?

One other question: Does D2 need to be set to ON in order to prevent the alarm going off when remote starting or should it be left in the default OFF position?

EVO-ALL programming 2014 Ford Focus Euro spec

I am trying to use EVO-ALL with T-Harness as Immobilizer bypass in a 2014 Ford Focus European version with regular key. I followed the install guide rev.20150427 for programming the module.

In step 8, the ignition turns ON after holding the programming button for a couple of seconds as indicated in the guide but RED and BLUE stay solid, do not flash as expected. On the instrument cluster screen, there is a warning message "Immobilizer Active, Check Handbook". Considering the leds staying solid and the warning message, it is clear that the EVO-ALL failed to program Key-bypass and CAN. I tried to program the CAN separately by release on BLUE, Key1 to IGNITION -->BLUE led goes off and comes flashing indicating successful programming of CAN. Finally, Key1 to OFF ---> No leds. I can also confirm CAN programmed properly by triggering Lock/Unlock from Keyless Entry Module to A2/A3 of EVO-ALL and further from A19 to Vehicle.

Connections: 2 CAN wires connected. Yellow/Black (KeySense) wire from T-harness connected to A1 and A16 (both Keysense). Also, Lt. Blue/Black (RX - pin4 of Immobilizer) and Lt. Blue (TX) from T-harness connected to A10 (RX) and A20 (TX) respectively

For Key-bypass, do I have to go the DCRYPTOR way of programming using the Flashlink Updater? I ask this because I think the Keys in Euro spec vehicle are highly encrypted resulting in failed programming of the module. Will DCRYPTOR solve this issue? Moreover, I came across the Russian site of Fortin and the install guide has ONLY DCRYPTOR method, link to the guide is here.
+12V from BCM fuse box or ignition switch?

EVO-ALL installation guide for 2014 Ford Focus indicates a +12V connection to remote starter from fuse box@BCM.

Can +12V from ignition switch be used instead or is there a reason for taking it from the BCM fuse box?

2009 Ford Focus Wiring for EVO-ALL

Looking at installation manual here. Not clear to me whether you have to make a connection to (+) ignition in the steering column or not. To me it seems the obvious anwer would be yes, but I want to be absolutely sure.

Looking at the manual, I'm confused as to whether the "Connection" under the vehicle fitguide is referring only to the connection chart for the ignition barrel, or if it means only to connect the mentioned letters.

For example, for 2009 Ford Focus, it says A,C. Does this mean I should only be connecting the wires for connections labeled A# and C# and ignore E#? Or should I be connecting all letters listed (A#, C#, and E#)?

2010 focus, uses key fob seperate from actual key. t harness connected, using the correct can high low (reversed to test, did not even program) connected yellow light blue and light blue black from 20 pin to t harness same colors. seems to allow programing once i did that. When i try the first step the blue light is on...turn key...light goes off for a few seconds, blinks blue for a few seconds then turns yellow.(i have a feeling thats not right. stays yellow until i turn off. i do the red programming next with two master keys. after second time i press and hold prog. button red light blinks 10 times, and car stays in "on" position. it does not turn off with brake pedal or by removing the key, its like its overriding the system to stay on without the key. thats closest ive gotten to anything to work. any other programming does nothing at all. i press lock 3 times, blue light blinks but no attempt to start. please help/

2010 Focus Driver Door Pin Wiring EVO-ALL

I finally got into wirecolor, and now I'm more confused than ever.

The only picture relating to the driver door pin has all 4 door-pins, and the trunk release, and a series of 10 diodes and 3k reistors going to 12v constant. I'm plenty handy with electronics but if I knew it was this much of an undertaking I would've just paid someone to do it.

Is there not just ONE driver door pin wire that I can cut and hook up to A17 and A18 from the EVO-ALL 20-pin? If so, how can I identify which one is the driver door pin?

The pictures did clearly label the parking light + wire so I'm happy about that. I wish you had a picture of the driver door pin wire, too!

2010 Focus Driver Door Pin Location?

The diagram (EVO-ALL, Ford T Harness) shows Green/Violet at pin 9. At that harness pin 9 is empty, but there is a Green/Violet wire at pin 14. What should I do there?

Also, does N.C. for the 2010 Focus for Lock and Unlock signify that no connection needs to be made?

I've tried to buy a subscription on wirecolor.com, it took my money but hasn't given me a token (Order 38593)

2014 focus regular key Evo-All keeps losing key info

I installed a Evo all with t harness into a 2014 Ford focus with regular key to start.

Everything worked fine no issues. 2 weeks later customer came back. Everything works fine except car won't start.

Double checked all connections and found no issues.

Reflashed Evo all reprogrammed with both keys. Once again everything worked fine.

A week later customer came back with same issue.

Flashed a new Evo all and reprogrammed with both keys once again. Everything worked fine.

2 weeks later same issue. Checked all connections again replaced evo all and programed everything worked fine.

Its been a few weeks now and customer is booked in again for same issue.

This is not the first time I have had this issue with other year makes and models.

I'm tired of removing the remote starter and bypass and installing a whole new starter and other brand bypass.

Does anyone know why this issue keeps happening?

Why does this vehicle keep losing key info?

has any other installers had this issue with other vehicles losing key info and having to reflash bypass?

i am using Astra 300, Astra 1000/4000, and Galaxy 2000/5000 remote starters.

2014 Focus EVO-ALL Cannot get Red LED to only flash once at end of programming-stays solid

Thanks for your help in advance-Using EVO ALL in '14 Focus SE as stand alone remote start unit, with THAR-FORD1 T Harness.

Step one goes fine, led goes to solid blue (step 2) once data link connector inserted. Proceed to plug in all other connctors (step 3). All connectors go according to plan, until I plug in the 20 pin connector. Blue LED goes out and starts flashing......keeping me from going to step 4.

EDIT: CHANGED YELLOW TO IGNITION, WAS ABLE TO PROCEED AS INSTRUCTED.

CAN Hi/Lo are all connected at OBD connector, keys are factory keyless keys, with no markings-but I suspect they are the 40 bit keys as all the Focus' for '14 are. (I do not have the flash tool, I hope this doesn't hold me back!!)

Lock is connected to brown wire behind button on dash below radio.

Is the yellow that comes from the T-Harness to pin A1 in the 20 pin connector supposed to be ignition, or constant (+) ? It is constant as it is out of the box hooked to column connectors.

This is a brand new unit just received for this vehicle. It has firmware 71-18 , hardware version 6 , Service # 001A06448488

Thanks for any help getting this squared away.
Respects-
FAQ - EVO-RIDE will not program in 2012 Ford Focus

	Problem:

The EVO-RIDE will not program to the vehicle's immobilizer.

The vehicle will not go in to programming to accept a new key. This will prevent a new key from being programmed with either 2 existing keys or with the dealer scan tool.

Vehicles that exhibit this issue may have an instrument display that resembles the one shown in the following diagram:

	Solution:

The following procedure may need to be tried 4 to 10 times in order to successfully get the vehicle in to programming mode.

Have some aluminum foil ready to wrap one of the keys near the end of the following procedure.

 Open the drivers door.

Press LOCK on the 1st key and wait 1 second.

Insert the 1st key in to the ignition barrel. The door locks should activate (move to the UNLOCK Position). If the door locks do not activate go back to step 1.

Turn the key to the ON/RUN position and wait 3 seconds.

Turn the key to the OFF position and remove the 1st key. Wait 3 seconds.

Press LOCK on the 2nd key and wait 1 second.

Insert the 2nd key in to the ignition barrel. The door locks should activate. If the door locks do not activate go back to step 1.

Turn the key to the ON/RUN position and wait 3 seconds.

Turn the key to the OFF position and remove the 2nd key.

Press and release the programming button on the EVO-RIDE. The LED on the EVO-RIDE should blink once.

Insert a key with the head wrapped in aluminum foil, and turn the ignition to the ON/RUN position.

If the LED on the EVO-RIDE flashes 10 times then the module is now programmed.

If the LED on the EVO-RIDE flashes 3 times then the module did not program. Go back to step 1.

I installed EVO-ALL on Ford Focus 2014 Titanium recently.
Ford Focus Titanium Lock*3 Start setting is OK, but when I use remote-start processing successfully, the car door is also quickly unlocked about 3~5 seconds that everyone can get in the car. (Though after remote-starting the car 3~5 seconds, the car door locked again, but everyone can get in the car during that 3~5 seconds)

Problems: press Lock*3 times-->car door unlocked -->car staring-->car door locked again

Wants: press Lock*3 times-->car staring(car door remaining locked)

2012 Ford Focus clutch switch bypass

2102 Ford Focus, not push-to-start.

Diagrams show two clutch switch locations.

One at the clutch pedal which is a basic switch to ground. The wire goes low as soon as the pedal is depressed. I can override that one by grounding the wire.

However Ford decided this wasn't good enough and added another switch in the circuit. This wire (Which I found in pin 12, 42 pin connector at the BCM) is actuated only when the pedal reaches the floor, one would hope it is a basic to ground switch as well but it certainly is not. My ohmeter reads 7Megohms resistance to ground at rest and 9ohms when the pedal is depressed. I cannot override this particular wire function by connecting this wire to ground. Has anyone else come across this?

The bypass module is evo-all and functions perfect, as well as the prostart remote starter so those two have absolutely nothing to do with this issue. The only thing I need to fix before this setup will work is to make the car start without physically depressing the pedal which in every other case should be to ground the clutch switch.
