2010 ford escape KEY-OVERRIDE-ALL

I'm installling the KEY-OVERRIDE-ALL with a DEI remote start.

When I attempted to program prior, I would see the LED start flashing, but programming didn't complete.

Now when I attempt to program, the LED on the module stays on and the security light on the dash flashes rapidly.

I've confirmed I have 12V on Red, Ground on Black, Ignition on Yellow, and remote start staus on Blue.

Is there anything else i should try on this module? The module was purchased new in December and hasn't been installed in another vehicle.

Key Override All stopped working

I have a 2013 Sequoia, came installed with Key Override All. I have a G key. The system recently stopped working. Here are some details:

1. had some (key) starting issues this summer so battery was disconnected and ECM was reset (hooking battery cables together)

2. Blue security light is on constantly

3. Unlock/back hatch functions were working.

4. Remote start function NOT working.

So I went with the tried-and-true 1st step....replaced the batteries. NOW THE KEY FOB WILL NOT LIGHT UP! (yes, I have tried several different battery orientations...still nothing. Will be purchasing a new set of batteries tomorrow.)

But still, even before the battery debacle, remote start stopped working. So, my question to you folks is: WHAT IS THE BEST COURSE OF ACTION? Is this any easy reset if I get the key fobs to work or do I need an installer to take a look?? Any recommended installers near Canton, OH?

I'm a handy gal, but I'm not down for wire-tracing or rewiring this dang thing. Dis tew much! (smh)

Thanks!!!!

Hello. Today I set the key override for the 2009 fit. When programming for the second pressing on the valet button, the LED began to flash, but was programmed. When we start the engine remotely. then it also flashes constantly. What's the matter?

Do I need the FLASH LINK UPDATER in order to install the KEY-OVERRIDE-ALL bypass module on a 06 F150?

I have a CRIMESTOPPER SP-402 ALARM REMOTE START installed. The white 4 pin DATA LINK cable that is supposed to connect to the EVO port on the alarm remote start did not fit and so I cut the clip off of the black 4 pin DATA LINK connector that supposedly goes into the ADS port of the CRIMESTOPPER ALARM REMOTE START module and plugged it into the EVO port. The connector did fit and I made sure the wires went in the port correctly as in the alarm remote start diagram. Did the programming on the bypass module as intended and I didn't get no blinking, off and on light, but just a steady red light. The truck did not remote start.

Why is my auto start starting for about 10 sec, turning off and back on again to do the same thing?

I have put an Evo key-overide-all and an Autostart in a 2001 lexus es300. Wired everything up and vehicle turns on normally and shuts down fine with the key fob however if I leave the vehicle running it shuts down and restarts after about 10 seconds.

Gone over wiring and everything is good. Double check programming on the Fortin but there are no changes to be make to the key overide. Only the update but there override is up to date.

2002 Ford Focus / Key-Override-All / Will Not Program

Installed a Key-Override-All with a Crime Stopper 'CoolStart RS4-G5'. The Crime stopper works great with a key in the ignition only to satisfy the transponder.

I have tried several time to program the Override unit with no success. I am using Connection (1) with the Data Link. The RX,TX and IGN wires are connected directly to the ignition switch transponder. The Blue wire is connected to the Yellow/Black on the Crime Stopper (Ground When Running (Bypass Module).

I am using Program (2). I press the programming button and plug in the 'Black Connector' and the (6) pin connector. The red light comes on. I than program the keys and than hit the remote start. The red light blinks (3) quick blinks and thats it. The car never remote starts with teh 'Override' however the car will remote start and perform predictably as long as there is a PATS key in range of the transponder ring give me the understanding all is will except the 'Override' module.

Can you tell me what I am doing wrong?

Why don't you put on the activation card that its only good for 48 hours. I signed up and logged on to make sure everything was good to go Now when I'm ready to install I cant access any of the wiring diagrams and photos I need. If your not going to put installation instructions with your product then I should be able to access the info when I need it. What if I encouter problems that can't be resolved in 48 hours. I could have printed the instructions but not all of the pictures. I'm certainly not going pay extra for Installation instructions that should have come with it in the first place. I guess I'll just have to return the whole remote starter kit.

how to reset key override-all Module

First, I programmed this module to be use on my 13 Honda Ridgeline but then decided to use EVO ALL module instead, so I decided to reprogram the KEY-OVERRIDE-ALL module to my other car 2006 Toyota corolla and it did programmed worked good until my battery was disconnected for few days, it kept giving me the hood pin error, I took the module out of the car to try to reprogram it, but when I connected to the computer it is showing the programming from of my truck 2013 Honda ridgeline instead of the programming of the toyota and is not giving me the option to select the car for programming, Do you think that it looked or do I need to reset it to start all over again?

Thank you.

install a compustar cs800 along with the fortin key override all with firmware 4.06. everything is hooked up and the fortin program correctly with the 10 blinks. When I try the remote start it will attempt to start the car, I hear the starter crank then it cuts out right before it turns over. When I use the key car turns on just like normal. When I unplug the fortin bypass and use the key it will do the same thing, try to start n cut out before turning over. I believe the fortin is install and program correctly.

Also before installing the bypass I tried to start it with just the remote start and samething. Car will attempt to start and cut out. Any help would be appericated. I try reprogramming the fortin like 10x already
2007 FJ Cruiser does not have the RX and TX wire at the ignition barrel?

I have a Key-Override-All bypass unit and it shows to connect the required wires at the igniton barrel area. The installation manual shows that the RX and TX wires are at the 7 pin wire harness (Pins 4 & 5 for Rx and Tx, respectively). However, the 2007 FJ Cruiser I have does not have the 7 pin wire harness, rather, it has a 4 pin wire harness (Blue connector - The wire colors are Green/Yellow, Blue/White, White/Black and another White/Black. ) Is there another place where the RX, TX, and Keysense wires can be wired to? The remote starter starts the vehicle but stops/dies after a few seconds, indicating that the car needs to have a bypass unit installed. Can someone please let me know where/how I can bypass the car's ignition. Thanks. (remote starter is a 2-way LCD Autostart)

Reprogram a KEY-OVERRIDE-ALL on a 2007 Mazda 5

Bought a used mazda 5 2007 that came with a KEY-OVERRIDE-ALL and its attached remote starter model OB-3471v (no brand?). The red light was OFF on the Key Override All module and I'm trying to reset it. I guess the car sat for sale for weeks with a dead battery... is it possible to re-program the module?

I tried following the program no 2 for the Mazda 5 (manual transmission) but the LED flashes as soon as I connect the datalink connector. What can I do now?
Thanks
FAQ - KEY-OVERRIDE Installation Supplement

This is an installation supplement for the KEY-OVERRIDE-SL, KEY-OVERRIDE-SL2 and the KEY-OVERRIDE ALL. It describes how to locate the required Data, Syncro, Security LED, Rx (receive) or Tx (transmit) wires at the vehicles PATS connector.

In some cases the colors of both of these wires differ and they may even differ between the same year of a specific vehicle. Because of this difference wire colors may not be listed and method 5 (below) may need to be used to determine the location of the wires in the PATS harness.

1. Refer to the individual connection types in the generic installation manual. Wire colors are listed in some sections for specific connection types for most vehicles. If the vehicle is not listed or the wire color does not match the ones listed then continue below.

2. Refer to the vehicle specific installation guides provided in the files section of the KEY-OVERRIDE-ALL. There are currently more than 250 separate installation guides which cover most of the vehicles covered by the KEY-OVERRIDE-ALL.

FAQ - KEY-OVERRIDE-ALL Programming Diagnostics

The KEY-OVERRIDE-ALL can only be programmed a limited number of times to a Ford/Lincoln/Mercury or Toyota/Lexus vehicle before it becomes locked and will no longer accept programming with a new vehicle. If you find that you are having trouble programming the module on a vehicle, the following simple procedures can be performed to determine the programming and locked status of the module.

1) To determine if the module is programmed
Unplug all connections.DO NOT hold the programming switch during the next step.Plug in the Data-Link Cable (Connector #1).This can be done on the bench with a 12VDC power supply. Red Wire: +12VDC, Black Wire: Ground.

If the LED remains off the module is currently programmed with a vehicle (To determine if it is locked see below). If the LED either flashes or comes on and remains solid the module is currently NOT programmed with a vehicle.

2) To determine if the module is locked
Unplug all connections. Press and hold the programming switch during the next step. Plug in the Data-Link Cable (Connector #1). This can be done on the bench with a 12VDC power supply. Red Wire: +12VDC, Black Wire: Ground.

If the LED turns ON the module is NOT locked and will accept programming with a vehicle. If the LED flashes the module is locked and will NOT accept programming with a new vehicle.

Please note the following:
The module is sealed at the factory with a tamper-proof sticker on the bag to indicate to the installer whether or not the module may have been previously used. If the seal is broken there is a possibility that the module have been programmed and may even be locked. If the tamper-proof sticker is still intact the module is neither programmed nor locked. The module can only be locked after it has been programmed. If the module is not programmed it can not become locked. The module can only be programmed if the firmware supports the vehicle, the module recognizes the vehicle, and the module installation is done properly (this does not include the remote-starter installation). All of these conditions must be met in order to properly program the module with vehicle. If you determine that the module has been programmed using procedure 1 above, and the vehicle will not remote-start, the problem exists in the remote-starter installation. Attempting to program with an other module will not fix the existing problem will only produce the exact same results. If procedure 2 above indicates that the module is locked, return the unit to your distributor for an exchange. We only honour exchanges up to 1 year past the data of manufacture on defective modules or modules that are locked. The Manufacture Date (MD) is indicated on the sticker of the module (MD: week-year). We verify all returns and non-defective / non-locked modules will be returned to the customer at their expense.

FAQ - KEY-OVERRIDE appears to program but Toyota/Lexus will not remote-start

The support article applies to remote car starter installations with either a KEY-OVERRIDE-SL, KEY-OVERRIDE-SL2 or a KEY-OVERRIDE-ALL on Toyota or Lexus vehicles.

	Problem:

The KEY-OVERRIDE Bypass module appears to program with Toyota and Lexus vehicles, but the vehicle will fail to remote start. When remote starting the vehicle the LED on the KEY-OVERRIDE will flash rapidly instead of staying solid.

In some rare cases the KEY-OVERRIDE will fail to synchronize itself with the rolling transponder code during programming. The key being used uses a transponder code that the KEY-OVERRIDE module does not recognize. This situation will only occur during the initial installation of the KEY-OVERRIDE Bypass module and will not occur at any time afterwards.

	Solution:

Use a valet key and re-program the KEY-OVERRIDE Bypass module.
Important: Do not attempt to reprogram the KEY-OVERRIDE module a second time using the same key. If this happens the KEY-OVERRIDE module will become locked and a new KEY-OVERRIDE module will need to be used to program using the valet key.

Note: The KEY-OVERRIDE Bypass module will allow you to program it two times before it becomes locked. Once it is locked you cannot unlock it by re-flashing the firmware, it must be re-flashed at the factory. This is a safety feature that prevents the module from being learned to multiple vehicles.

FAQ - KEY-OVERRIDE will not program with cloned key from a locksmith

	Problem:

The KEY-OVERRIDE will not program when using a key that was cut by a either a locksmith or a retailer that sells counterfeit cloned keys.

A key that is provided by a locksmith is a counterfeit cloned key that is not stored as a "master" key in the vehicles memory. Although these keys will start the vehicle, they can not be used to program additional keys including a Bypass module. When programming a KEY-OVERRIDE module two authentic "master" keys must be used in order for the Bypass module to program properly.

	Solution:

The two keys being used to program the KEY-OVERRIDE Bypass modules must be a combination of original keys that came with the vehicle, or an authentic replacement that was cut and programmed at a dealership. If an existing key is not from one of the previous sources; the customer must go to the dealership to have an authentic "master" key cut and programmed to the vehicle before programming the KEY-OVERRIDE Bypass module.

Installation in 2005 Ford Expedition key-override-all w/ RS1-G4

Followed Iinstructions that were provided with modules. Hood open not installed yet and park lights not connected yet. On your site there are two sets of instructions for this truck. One set shows to plug in plug number 2 fist then plug 1 and the other set shows to plug in plug 1 first then 2. I have tried both ways and no luck. The Key-Override-All never flashes 10 times. I only have one key and am following the procedure for one key. It blinks twice. When remote start depressed the lights come on the accessories start to run but no starter and the anti-theft indicator ion the dash begins to flash. Pressing the remote again shuts off everything, the KOA blinks 8 times and extinguishes and the LED on the RS1-G$ begins to blink. I think this is a feature of the unit as an anti-theft deterent. Had someone else check wiring and attempt to program and they were unsucessful, too.
