2016 KIA K7

Hello. I installed Evo-One on 2016 Kia K7 (on liquid gas...with start-stop).. I specified 2017 Kia Optima in the manager. The EMS wire was behind the passenger kick panel in the red connector on the bottom, second from the right. Behind the fuse, the ignition wire (ON) was pink...the ACC wire was white...the starter wire was yellow with a black stripe. The CAN wires were also located behind the fuses in a small connector... yellow and black... blue and orange. Everything worked well, but after opening the door, when I pressed the brake, the car stopped... When I pressed the start-stop button, the radio turned on, and the start-stop button also showed a yellow LED, but the car stopped when I pressed the brake.

I didn't use the ACC-2. It was blue, behind the fuses. The customer left satisfied, but I'm wondering what else can be added to prevent the car from stalling when the brake is applied?

If you could please send me the serial number of this Evo-One...I usually write down the numbers in a journal and now I forgot to write them down...

Hello. I installed an Evo-Key on 2020 (2021) Kia Seltos (I had two of them). During programming, after opening the ignition, both modules showed both red and yellow lights. Then I pressed the programming button seven times... (The red light flashed six times). I opened the ignition, and everything was fine. Why does the manual say six times?

Program RFK-411 Remote with Evo-One-KHY2 - 2016 Kia Optima

	Hello,

I'm experiencing difficulties programming an RFK-411 remote with my EVO-One-KHY2 system installed in a 2016 Kia Optima (US model).

Here's what I've done so far:

Installation: I followed GUIDE #91351 to install the T-harness and EVO-One unit.

Firmware: The EVO-One has the latest firmware for my vehicle (updated via FlashLink).

Programming: Since my car is the US version without the (~)EMS COM cable, I used PROGRAM: 2 to program the EVO-One.

Remote Pairing: I followed GUIDE #68771 to connect the RFK-411 remote, but have been unsuccessful using both the ignition switch and valet switch methods.

	The Problem:

The instructions state that the blue light on the RF antenna should flash with each brake press, but the blue light does not respond. This prevents me from completing Step 4 of the programming process.

	Troubleshooting:

I've confirmed the red light next to the yellow wire on the EVO-One is off, indicating it's not in locked/armed mode.

It seems the EVO-One is not registering the brake presses, which is preventing the RFK-411 remote from being programmed.

2015 Kia Sorento Standard Key T-Harness Evo-One Step 4 Solid Amber Light

Installing a Evo-One in a 2015 Kia Sorento with T-Harness and standard key. Completed wiring. Spliced yellow A1 into pink ignition wire in T-Harness. Cut white wire in T-Harness. I have flashed the Evo-One with the lastest firmware in both remote start connection and bypass mode. In FlashLink Manager for desktop Pro Mode, I set the mode to OEM Lock-Unlock-Lock on 38.4(?). I am using an OEM key. That is the only option I configured.

With the key out, I plug in the 6 wire harness while holding the programming button. Lights flash red->blue->red & blue->yellow and I release the button. Yellow is solid on, other lights are off. I plug in the remaining connectors. Insert the key into ignition, and turn to RUN position. The light stays solid yellow.

I have probed the C2 & C4 and have 2.4v for CAN-Low at the C connector. I have 2.6v at the C1 & C3 connector for CAN-High. I can not get to the blue flashing x10 times in the programming steps.

Car starts normally with key.

EVO-KEY 2011 Kia SOUL Remote Start Data-Link

I've recently purchased the OEM starter kit for a 2011 kia soul. However, this is a Canadian model and has a transponder key, so it will only crank and wont start unless a key is held near the ignition.

Will the EVO-KEY work as a bypass in conjunction with the OEM remote start kit? Is there a requirement for any sort of data link between the start module and the the EVO-KEY?

Thank you

Hello, I'm installing an EVO-One with THAR-ONE-KHY1 Harness on 2009 Kia Borrego. The vehicle is equipped with immobilizer and immobilizer RFID metal ignition key but the immobilizer function has been stripped from the ECU/ECM software so the vehicle starts with any metal (properly cut) key. When I install the EVO One can I ignore the PATS Data connection and use the "Program 2: Vehicle Without PATS Data Wire" programming instructions? Thanks

Tach sensor 2009 Kia Spectra

2009 Kia Spectra. THAR-ONE-KHY1. I need to know which wire to connect the tach signal to. Yes, in the Wire Colour diagram it does tell me which wire on the ECM, but no-where can I find which wire on the EVO-one it must be connected to. I have by-passed it currently using programmable option 20.2, but the start quality is pathetic; in cold temperatures it requires more crank time, causing excessive starter drag in warmer conditions. Adjust for warm temperatures and the crank is in-sufficient for the cold mornings. Advice for me?

Does EVO-ONE Support Kia's New Anti-Theft Update

	Hey guys,

So Kia has released a new firmware update for their cars in order to deal with the rise in car thefts. The update is applied at the dealership. I've been thinking about getting the update, but I need to make sure my Evo-One will still remote start the engine after the changes are made.

I have a 2020 Kia Forte with a push-button fob. From what I've gathered, after the update, the BMS must receive the unlock command from the KeyFob in order for the engine to start. If the car isn't unlocked and I were to try to start it, it would end up panicing for 60 seconds.

I know the EVO-One already unlocks the doors over CanBus, but does it support the update Kia is applying to our cars? Will it still remote start the car after changes are made?

3. Diesel mode function 18, Delay between ignition power up and starter mode not working. ( Work without delay )

2020 Kia Sportage DRL, fog lights, high beams, front and rear wipers not working.

Hi, I have a 2020 Kia Sportage - Regular key THAR-ONE-KHY2 that I installed. DRL, fog lights, high beams, front and rear wipers do not work. I checked all the wires and they are all good. I proceeded to remove the fortin remote starter and go OEM. all the issues were fixed (DRL, fog lights, high beams, front and rear wipers). I suspected a bad module so I re-instaleld the fortin remote starter with another module. the issues were still there. I double checked the wiring again and they are all good. Can anyone check into this? maybe there is something in the wiring or module in the wiring diagram???. I had someone install on a 2021 Kia Seltos also and the same issues are on it too.

Thank you.

2020 Telluride- Remote start not working and horn honks 3 times after locking

I installed an EVO-One in my 2020 Telluride. I am using the RM912 and ANT900 kit. I updated firmware on the antenna and the EVO module. All wires seem to be correct per drawing. I was able to program the bypass when you first hook up all connectors, and I got the two remotes programmed to the antenna, however the manual says to hold the single button for 12 seconds or until the blue LED turns off and then comes on SOLID. The Blue LED comes back on RED for me. The manual does not specify what color it should be when it comes back on solid, but maybe red is a bad sign?

I try to use to 912 fobs and nothing happens. No lights on the EVO or antenna. The fobs blink blue and then turn red and chime a few times. I can use the factory Kia fob to lock/unlock and the blue LED on the EVO blinks when doing this. The yellow light on the EVO is constantly on when the car is running or ignition on. I never see any other lights blinking on the EVO though.

The Antenna LED will blink very fast right after locking the door with the factory fob. In about 10 seconds or so, the horn and park lights flash 3 times and the blue LED on the antenna then blinks slower. It is programmed as a push to start automatic car, so I am not sure what 3 honks really means. The car still stays locked. No matter what I try with the two RM912 remotes, they never get a green light, the antenna or EVO mdule never blinks blue when the 912 fob is used, and nothing ever happens with door locks or starter. Almost seems liek the fobs do not work at all, but to try and test that theory, I set the ability to remote start the car using the factory fob with 3x lock button, but that does not work either.

I have the yellow loop cut, the hood is closed (grounded) and doors are all closed.

I am wondering what to do?

EVO-START2 - is the ignition wire not needed in some cases?

I setup an EVO-START2 with an iDataStart HCX in a 2016 Kia Sorento (push-start) but since there's a T-harness the only manual connection required for the entire install is from the EVO-START2 (yellow igition wire).

The T-Harness doesn't connect to an igition wire in the vehicle, so I can't just run the EVO-START2 yellow ignition wire to the HCX or T-harness. Instead I have to connect the yellow ignition wire to a longer wire that can reach the driver kick panel, and tap a connector there.

I tried setting up the EVO-START2 without the yellow ignition wire and could not get validation (purple LED flashing) to happen, which didn't surprise me too much. I temporarily connected the yellow igition wire by pushing it into the back of the relevant pin/connector in the driver kick panel. This got me past validation and everything worked.

To finish the install I needed a longer wire, so I left the vehicle to find a wire and to show my wife the app. We started and stopped the vehicle, locked/unlocked doors, etc. It all worked (we could hear the vehicle from within the house and the app confirmed every command).

To my surprise, when I got back to the vehicle, the yellow wire had fallen out of the connector it was temporarily pushed into. This caused me to wonder if it was disconnected the whole time I was away, and so I tested functionality without it.

Everything seems to work without that wire (except for the one-time validation step). As a secondary test I tried starting the vehicle using OEM fob and watching to see if the app reported that the vehicle was on. It did and showed the countdown timer and temperature etc. I can't find anything not working.

So this leads me to the question in the title - do I actually need this wire? Everything presumably is working through data without it. If I don't connect it then I have a 100% plug-and-play installation, which is ideal.

2012 Kia Rondo Evo One - Car not remote starting, no crank

Hi, I installed a 2012 Kia Rondo Evo One T-harness. After installing everything, programming the module and remotes. After the installation, I noticed I had put the KHY2 instead of the KHY1. The car isnt remote starting, no crank. Im assuming that if I installed the KHY1, it will for sure work considering all my wiring is good. Right?

1- is there a way to modify the KHY2 to make it act as a KHY1? If not, its ok I will just replace with the KHY1.

2- the other wires that come in the box are all similar right? Only the big 6-pin connectors from KHY1/KHY2 are different?

How do I set up rear defrost on the Evo One MyStart2?

Hi, I have a 2020 Kia Sportage Push-To-Start. I am installing the Evo-One on it at this moment and I also have to set up the Rear Defrost + Trunk Open with the MyStart2 (Version 3.2.00). How do I add the aux in the MyStart2 for the Rear Defrost + Trunk Open?

	Installation Guide Evo-One: https://cdn02.fortin.ca/download/81611/evo-one_ig_reg_bi_kia-sportage_2017_pts_b_81611.pdf

2nd.. Is there a way to lock the doors right after you close the door (lets say withing 10 secs)?

	Thank You

**Edit** I found out trunk open is already set up with the MyStart2 so that works while I use it from the phone. Now Rear Defrost.. How do I set it up? I see it in the aux while I set up the rear defrost from phone but it doesnt do anything. Im guessing I need to tap on a wire?

2014 Kia Forte EX PTS VIN8 A Couple of Questions

1st I used Guide 24661 for Evo ONE and 68731 for FL4 when installing the EVO One (recommended firmware identified on program screen, its higher than 76.36, i think there are two newer firms but it wont let me click on them, one is a beta ver.) in car to include adding 2-1 amp diodes at PTS. The car is loaded with options, heated front rear, ac front driver seat, nav and tech pack and more. So I connected laptop to FL(ver 4.05 and recomended in program screen) and FL4 to bypass/ RS and logged in, I dont see the toggle in the lower right corner they speak of, instead I can just click on the tab at top of screen and it asks to confirm or cancel(if you changed anything and didnt save) to switch between bypass and RS. Right now 3x locks the car will crank over but no run, my seat moves, Headlights and dash light up, air controls work, and radio comes on then I hear a couple clicks then the car starts to crank but acks like no fuel, What are all the settings I should have on in the bypass and starter options? I think I had to choose 2.4 in order to get it to even crank, What am i missing or need to check

2nd I see the bypass/starter has a programming set of intructions and the FL4 has its own programming setup however when save and loading setup in user interface when all devices are connected together inline, I get a message stating 20.6 will be changed but it was already defaulted with a green thumbs up, also in bypass I get a message that alot will change when those are also already defaulted with a green thumbs up...smh. Question is how do the options 2.Programmable Option and 31.4,5 and 6 work in unison with each other?

Side note while creating this I just realized I did nothing with the decrypt after every thing is done with bypass and RS do i need to click send on the decrypt screen, what is the complete steps in order to complete this.

Connect laptop-FL4-Bypass/RS, login, choose settings and load(save), then decrypt, then just unplug, then test or...?

Update: I dont think i have a decrypt option...
