Is remote compatibility changing over time?

I notice there are several guides for various compatible remotes on the website - thank you for those detailed guides!

However, reading through Q&A and looking through available firmware on FlashLink Manager, I notice there are several firmware options that people have had success with other remotes - 0.44 for OmegaLink, 0.50 "test drone", 0.83 SmartStart 2.0 (for DSM550), 0.96 "Test Firstech...", and some reports of 1.24 being used for compustar/idatastart while others saying iDatastart remotes are not supported.

I understand things won't be perfect and am not expecting fully backed solutions by Fortin as there is competition, but are there any general guidelines for firmware/wiring options to attempt to make Evo-One work with other remotes? Any "generally universal" firmware, maybe some pinouts that need to change on the 4pin connections, or at least what to do to prevent damage? I am really looking forward to using Evo-One for manual transmission installs, but my customers have preferences on other remotes they've had in the past. Most prominent cases: Python, Viper, and iDatastart remotes

Any insight is greatly appreciated!

Cheers

Key fobs wont program

I have a 2006 Chev silverado 2500HD and i have installed the fortin EVO ONE. I can get the module to program once all the wires were hooked up under the dash but i cannot get the RF942 antenna to light up when trying to program the key fobs. is like it is not detecting it. i have tried both methods with the valet switch and cycling the key and foot brake 4 times. The only time i get a flicker from the antenna is just when you plug it in. This was pre programmed from the shop i bought it from and they dont have uch insight for me. Is it possibly a programming issue? I have gone through all my connections several times and they are all good on that end.

Thanks

Will any other fobs work with fortin systems?

I'm getting an Evo one setup for my car. I was curious as to if any other RF system will work with Fortin modules. Because there are some viper systems that go up to 5 mi. While the Fortin system only does 1.1. but the Fortin systems are direct integration while the viper systems throw a whole bunch of codes.

Which fortin remotes will work together?

i.e. rf642 and rf442 or do they only work with the series number? I.e. rf642 and Rf641 will work together and rf442 and rf441 will work together? Is there a guide to which ones work together?

thanks
