Thinking out loud about this 2008 Focus install

I saw a couple of other manufacturers have a T-Harness that works with the 2008 Focus, but not Fortin's. I also noticed that the FORT1 is compatible with the 2008 Taurus. So I pulled up the install sheets:

https://fortin.ca/download/107381/EVO-ONE_IG_REG_BI_FOR-FOCUS_2008-2009_A_107381.pdf
https://fortin.ca/download/95201/EVO-ALL_IG_RTS_BI_FOR-TAURUS-2008-2010_KEY40bits_A_95201.pdf

The ignition connectors appear to be the same form factor and the same pinouts, but different wire colors. Just wondering if someone could perhaps review this and see if this would change the install options at all? Like using the THAR-FOR1 with the EVO-ONE? Or possibly being able to use the EVO-FORT1 or FORT4?

I do see that the Focus install has a Disarm wire connection that is not present on the others. The other guide for reference is here

Appreciate it!

Request for updated install instructions - US 2015-2019 Ford Transit 150, 250, 350

There is a 3rd party selling a prewired 3x factory remote start based on the Evo-All so it would seem that the Evo-All can be wired as a stand alone (can-bus) remote start but there are no instructions for this application / US version of the Ford Transit.

	See link:

	https://www.amazon.com/Start-X-Remote-Starter-2015-2019-Transit/dp/B07PM8ZVNJ

	Install Video:

	https://d2y5sgsy8bbmb8.cloudfront.net/f71daf72-8800-4c9c-8e09-2963fdbb1b99/default.jobtemplate.mp4.480.mp4

In the installation video (2m37s) the Evo green wire (door status?) is connected to the vehicle Purple/Green described as the vehicle lock wire. Can this connection be explained?

Also, if this is workable what would be the external trigger wire (ground to start/stop)?

For the Evo-All and Thar-For1 T harness would the following be correct?:

Yellow/Black from T harness to [A1] Yellow on 20 Pin connector
Connect [C4] Can Low Grey/Black to Can Low on OBD II
Connect [C3] Can High Grey to Can High on OBD II
Ground Black from T harness

Looking for instructions on any other connection needed ie. lock wire (&diode) and external trigger

Why are datalink protocols F1 F2 F3 off?

	Hi

I have been having issues with my remote starter system. My setup is a regular type with an Evoall and a crimestopper LC1 unit. Remote start doesn’t work after car battery replacement. 3x lock doesn’t do anything.

I tried to start the car with the remote that came with the LC1 unit and it does work! The OEM remote (3x press) does nothing but blue led flashes everytime i press it.

Im looking at the enabled features on my evoall unit and noticed that all data protocols (F1, F2 and F3) are off. Im curious if this is normal?

What else could i check on my setup?

	Thanks

Hello

My setup is a regular type with an Evo all and a crimestopper LC1 unit. Remote start doesn’t work at all after the battery replacement. 3x lock doesn’t do anything.

Blue led does flash on evo all when I lock - I lock car.

2013 Ford Focus EVO-ALL won't complete programming

I am trying to program an EVO-ALL in a 2013 Ford Focus with two original working factory keys. I get to step 5 and insert the first key. The yellow light comes on and goes off. When I insert the second key the yellow light does not come on. I press the program button in step 8 and the ignition comes on. The red light remains solid. The blue light blinks 20 times and then everything shuts off. I have verified the wiring is correct.

Any suggestions on why the module key bypass will not program?

Regards
2014 Focus EVO-ALL Cannot get Red LED to only flash once at end of programming-stays solid

Thanks for your help in advance-Using EVO ALL in '14 Focus SE as stand alone remote start unit, with THAR-FORD1 T Harness.

Step one goes fine, led goes to solid blue (step 2) once data link connector inserted. Proceed to plug in all other connctors (step 3). All connectors go according to plan, until I plug in the 20 pin connector. Blue LED goes out and starts flashing......keeping me from going to step 4.

EDIT: CHANGED YELLOW TO IGNITION, WAS ABLE TO PROCEED AS INSTRUCTED.

CAN Hi/Lo are all connected at OBD connector, keys are factory keyless keys, with no markings-but I suspect they are the 40 bit keys as all the Focus' for '14 are. (I do not have the flash tool, I hope this doesn't hold me back!!)

Lock is connected to brown wire behind button on dash below radio.

Is the yellow that comes from the T-Harness to pin A1 in the 20 pin connector supposed to be ignition, or constant (+) ? It is constant as it is out of the box hooked to column connectors.

This is a brand new unit just received for this vehicle. It has firmware 71-18 , hardware version 6 , Service # 001A06448488

Thanks for any help getting this squared away.
Respects-
2012 Ford Mustang GT Auto EVO ALL with THAR-FOR1

I have installed the EVO all with the Thar1-For harness. The programming of the EVO all goes all as mentioned in the manual. But the remote start system does not work.

It states in the manual that you have to connect it the Orange wire from the 20pin EvoAll connector to the Ground running wire. Which wire is this ? Or can I just connect it to the car ground.

Next the SMJ box is in the passenger side of the vehicle. This means i have to run the wires from the SJB to the EvoAll.

Next, I cant seem to locate the 26 PIN connector in the car. I have however figured out that the Mustang does not have a 26pin connector.

Note that I am using this as a stand alone remote start (i.e. 3X remote start). But still the car does not remote start even after the programming.

I use compustar CM6300 / THAR-FORD1 / OMEGA AU-94 proximity sensor and no extra remote ( using factory remote ). I use D2D connection, EVO-ALL hardware ver.6 and firmware ver.71.06 and I figure out some problem. 1. siren no beep sound when arm and disarm 2. can't disarm compustar alarm after I remote start a car, I need use factory remote to stop a engine first then no problem. 3. I can't disarm when compustar alarm trigger until siren is stop. Any solution to fix?

need better instructions to install evo-all on 2011 ford flex. better wire locations to.

When I bought this device the description started only about 6 wires would have to spliced in. The instructions I can find are kinda undetailed. I would like instructions that start like this: step 1 do this and this step 2 etc.... Is there anything like thus out there or any installation videos I could watch. Thanks

EvoAll + THAR-FOR1 in 2014 Ford F150

When installing a remote start into a 2014 Ford F150, everything is identical to the 2013. So yup, go ahead and install the EvoAll with the THAR-FOR1 t harnes , program it up and you are set.

Cheers.

Factory alarm not disarming with remote start

Vehicle 2013 Ford Explorer

Remote Start / Alarm - Viper 5901

EVO All - with THAR FOR 1 T- harness

EVO All service # 001A06 265528

Current firmware 71.10

Everything works when the vehicle is disarmed. When factory alarm is set "ON" the remote start will start the car and then turn off imediately and the alarm goes off. I was told that I do not need option 12 selected to "ON" So I have not tried that with firmware 71.10. I did try it with firmware 71.11. I was also told to try firmware 71.05 but that did not work . Everything is hooked per the diagram for the THAR FOR 1

EVO-ALL & THAR-FOR1 with RS unlock wire?

I haven't installed this yet, but will be later today.

When using the EVO-ALL and the THAR-FOR1 t-harness, why do you have the remote start unlock wire hooked up to the door unlock wire, but the EVO-ALL lock wire hooked to the door lock wire?

Thanks!
