Possible bug in Evo-One firmware regarding trunk

Car: 2016 Hyundai Veloster Turbo, Push-To-Start

Evo-One stand alone: Latest firmware ( 76.65 ) with recommended settings for both the bypass and remote starter sections. Using OEM remote 3x lock button for starting.

I've been having what seemed like a random issue where remote starting the car would intermittently cause the trunk to release. Have now figured out the scenario that causes it, and not sure if there's any setting options currently that would apply

The recommended settings have the "Unlock before/relock after start" for OEM alarm disarming enabled as it's required. But if the fob is within range of the rear hatch RF antenna when the Evo does the unlock/lock sequence, it causes the trunk to release. The hatch actuator is likely being told to open on every start, but it will only do so if it detects the fob.

I've verified this is not an oddity of the car, as standing next to the rear hatch and hitting the unlock button on the fob does not pop the trunk, only the trunk button on the fob or pressing the physical release button on the hatch will open it. That implies an additional CAN message is being sent by the Evo to control the trunk in addition to one for the doors.

I would assume this message is supposed to be one that unlocks it rather than open it, but I don't think this trunk actuator has a lock/unlock function. As it will only open with the trunk button on the fob, or when the physical button on the hatch is pressed and the fob is within range. Effectively meaning it's always locked.

Any known settings that could change this behaviour? If not, possible chance of a fix via firmware update?

Hello everyone
I buy and connect my evo-one this instruction and programming
But i have some problems and questions with this product.
I used this instruction

1. On Flashlink manager show recommended firmware 76.31 but on pdf instruction 76.60 (only works 76.31 on 76.60 not programming)
2. On my car i select diesel mode and 6 minutes running but only work 4 minutes
3. Diesel mode function 18, Delay between ignition power up and starter mode not working. ( Work without delay )
4. My big problem. When the remote started after 4 minutes engine shut down and open my car trunk.

I have a dot key for a Toyota sequoia 2010. Can I use the stock fob to turn off the remote start? If I get the extended range add on, would the tailgate function work with the new remotes? Would I be able to still use the stock remote with thr add on remotes?

I've chosen to enable the A12 feature for enabling unlock before trunk release the problem I'm having on my 2006 Dodge charger RT when this feature is enabled is the trunk only releases instead of unlocking all doors first and triggers an alarm once the trunk is fully opened, but once closed the doors lock in succession.

Is this a bug and if not are there some steps I can take to fix it? My unit is evo all 2021 model T-harness is CHRT5 and I'm using my OEM key fob w(x2 press trunk release)

I have Installed EVO ALL AND EVO START 2 using T Harness in Nissan Rogue 2015 Push to start Sl. All the regular functons. But i would like to know EVO ALL PROGRAMMING FOR EVO START 2 AUX1- AUX 2 and Trunk Open for DEFROSTER and Aux Functions. What are the more programming options and wiring to be done for it to function. Or where can i find more details.

Cannot change button mapping to trunk or Aux Feature - OMEGA OL-RF-42-SST - EVO-ONE

Suscefully installed Evo-one on my 2018 MAzda cx-9.

Added an OMEGA OL-RF-42-SST RF kit and it programmed no problem using OM 0.44 FOR OMEGALINK.

Everything works fine, OEM remote still 3x starts car if needed and Omega remote starts, locks and unlock doors no problem.

BUT I CANT get any button mapping done.

Can't get RF remote to open Trunk or Map any of the buttons to operate AUX 1 function??

Is this something that's not possible ?

Doing Ignition "on", hold down valet switch, get fast blinking LED, Press & Release Valet for # for mode wanted, press and release brake, Then press "desired button on RF remote, but nothing happens,

2017 Hyundai Tucson Limited, power lift trunk does not function during remote start. Key fob makes yellow park lights flash no open, push button on rear trunk and the gate lifts a 1/4 of the way and stops, push the trunk button on the dash, the trunk opens all the way.

Guide # 62161 shows how to wire and the setting used. Guide # 97941 does not explain trunk option. Did the trunk option die?

Trunk release stopped working with RFK942 remote

2011 Acura CSX Navigation and Bluetooth nstalled the RFK942-2 with antenna about a month ago. The trunk release on the RF kit was working for three weeks. Last week the trumkk release on the RF kit stopped working. All other buttons are still working. Applies to both RF remotes. Using a Evo-one.

Can't find anything on the guide for the connection between the EVO-ONE and the trunk release wire. Which wire for the evo-one is used for the trunk release. The guide for the vehicle does indicate trunk open is supported. The guide only goes through connecting the unlock, lock, horn and parking light. When I hit the open trunk button on my remote (while the car is turned on via remote start) the parking lights simply blink and the trunk does not open.

I have installed a EVO-all with EVO start 2 in my 2012 Prius V, SN:001A07018794, stand alone installation.

1. My oem key doesn't have the trunk release button, but it has a electric trunk release button on the hatch door. Is it means the trunk release function can not work?

2. I didn't connect the autolight wires, is it only for alarm system?

3. By the way, please remove the A11 from suggested options! My car doesn't have a hood trigger. It cause remote start stop working on the NEXT DAY

2010 Audi Q5 - EVO-ALL installed with harness. After remote starting the vehicle - the hatch will not open. I can hear the solinoid working to unlock the hatch, but the motor that raises the hatch does not engage to open it.

We had this same problem with our previous car starter system - was hoping the EVO-ALL would not have the same issue.

Any recommondations on things to try to get this to work properly?

Also there are times after remote starting - when trying to open the hatch manually using the button on the hatch itself, it will not open. It will only open after hitting the hatch release button on the OEM remote.

OH one more question. Is there are a data link cable extension evailable? Due to where the EVO-ALL is installed under the dash, I have to remove the lower panels to get at it to program it. I was hoping there exists an extension data link cable available somewhere. Or if I could know the connector type, I could make one myself.

I have installed an EVO-ALL with the THAR-FOR4 harness in a 2010 Fusion SE and everything is working great, except for the trunk release. It clearly states in the installation guide the trunk release as well as trunk status are supported via hardware 6 and firmware 7.46.

Can someone provide me with information on why this doesn't work? I upgraded from the THAR-FOR1 harness since the guide said the trunk release worked. Looks like it was a waste of money...

Buick Rendezvous - int-sl does not supprt trunk release. Any options?

I connected the trunk wire on the int-sl to the trunk wire on my compustar cs800s unit, but the trunk will not open. Read the guide a little closer and it looks like the int-sl does not supprt the trunk function on my car. Do I have any options here? Or am I stuck carrying two remotes if I want to have the trunk release on a remote?

My wife informed me her alarm went off when she opened the trunk using her factory remote.

Any ideas on where to start looking to solve this Problem? Programming, wiring I still need to accomplish?

I have an Evo-One with a THAR-FOR1 T-harness. I am planning my install and do not understand why the Driver Door Pin & Trunk Release are called out on the Wiring Connection Guide??

I want to retain the factory alarm and OEM remotes' function.

Should I skip these two connections - or, are they important for some reason I do not understand?

Evo-All - Trunk randomly opens

Hello,

About a month ago I installed a standalone remote starter in a 13' Audi A6. Everything seems to be working fine but twice now I have gone out to my car in the morning and the trunk has been open. The first time this happened it was not a big deal as I was parked in my garage. The second time it happened was when it was parked overnight in an apartment parking lot. Luckily nothing was stolen.

Has anyone ever experienced this? At first I thought I might have accidently pressed the trunk button on the fob, but I have had the car for 2 years and have not had that happen a single time until the Evo-All was installed.

The car was unlocked in my garage when it happend first, and locked in the parking lot when it happened the second time. Any help is greatly appreciated.

I have the EVO-ALL installed with a T-Harness in my 2011 Ford Fusion. This install has been working since I installed it in January of 2014. The EVO has been flashed to allow for trunk release control. However, I have never succeeded in actually getting the trunk pop to work, either on my RF kit or, more recently, via the Crimestopper Teleconnect. I'm assuming this is accomplished via CAN BUS control. Any insights would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Subaru hatch release not working over CAN

It looks like the hatch release on 2009 Subaru Impreza does not work with either the trunk button using a Fortin remote or with a Compustar remote. Should this work over CAN without issues or does it require a seperate wire? Trunk Open is listed as compatible for this vehicle. When I hit this, all I see are lights flashing a few times.

The trunk release button on the Revo4.1 remote does not work at all with the car running or not.

The doors lock and unlock and remote starting is working using the revo remote.

A2 trunk release and A10 Trunk trigger options are on.

Is there some setting or connection that I may be missing?

I'm looking at adding remote start to my vehicle. Your "solution finder" lists two possible solutions:

1. ("recommended") EVO-MAZT1. I think (?) this is EVO-ALL plus T-HARNESS.

2. EVO-ONE, separate T-HARNESS available.

I plan to use a RF-Kit to extend remote range. Will I be able to completely replace my existing OEM Mazda remote (lock/unlock/trunk/panic) with the RF-Kit remote, assuming it has buttons for those functions? Or will I lose some functionality if I do that. And in particular, is the answer the same for options #1 and #2 above.

For example, I saw another post where someone mentioned you wouldn't get trunk control with EVO-ALL, and that you would need EVO-ONE to do that. But I didn't understand why, and I don't see this limitatation mentioned on the product pages.

No persistent trunk status using EVO ALL and Crimestopper RS7 on 2005 G35

Not sure if this is intentional, or simply not supported, but I've noticed that my 2-way remote starter does not correctly show the status of the trunk.

Since the system is 2-way, I can see whether the doors are locked/unlocked, opened/closed and whether the hood is open/closed. These are all persitent, so they will remain on the key fob until their status is changed. The only thing missing is that for some reason I cannot see the status of the trunk. I can open the trunk using the key fob, but it does not show that the trunk is open or closed. None of this is manually wired up, it is all CANBUS.

There should be the "trunk status" which is supported by the EVO ALL and the Crimestopper RS7 according to the manuals. There is actually even a dedicated wire in this car which goes low when the trunk is open.

I'm just wondering if anyone knows how to get the trunk status working.

Trouble with parking lights,trunk release, start 2007 Mitsubishi Eclipse

1) I am having difficulty getting the parking lights to function with mmy install using the wire color .com wire suggestion. I found that a + green/white at the fuse box is suggested widely on other sites on the internet. This wire does test out for the parking lights. Am I missing something or is it an error on the wirecolor site?

I see the factory unit flashes the hazard lights. I don't see any change of state on the gn/oe in either case.

2) I am able to use the fortin remotes to lock and unlock, but not release the trunk. I tried changing to the 2.5s pulse and unlock before release options, but no luck. Still working with a double key of the factory remote.

3) I can't remote start. I try to enter the ready mode (running, apply foot brake, hand brake, release brake, press start on remote (3s), turn off ignition, open and close doors). but as soon as the ignition is turned off, car shuts down. I can't restart.

I would like to know if there is an option to enable trunk realse with Evo-All.

I have Firmare 79.36 installed and I used guide #23781

the option for trunk release is (ON)

I also have RF Kit (ON) for DEI SmatyStart.

The DEI smart start does send the signal to the Evo-All and the lights flash, but the trunk does not open?

The trunk release still functions with the key fob.

The DEI smart start also locks and unlocks all the doors fine and also starts the vehicle just fine, other than no dirct feedback to say that the car is running.

I have a Kia Sportage LX 2011.

I have had a remote starter installed recently on my car, for which the Fortin Evo-One module is used.

There are two issues with the installation for which I want to know if there is a way to fix:

1. The driver door proiority unlock is not working. I checked in the following link which confirms my car is supported for this feature. But enabling this feature does not work. Is there any specific way to have it enabled and working? (Currently it unlocks all doors with first time I press 'Unlock' button):

2. The Trunk release button unlocks all car doors as well. I expect this button to only unlock/release the trunk, but it opens all doors as well. Is there any workaround for this issue?

Trunk Button on Fortin RF642W

I have installed a Fortin MAZT1 into a 2015 Mazda 3 PTS. Everything works great, but I want to extend the range and am adding the Fortin RFALL642W 2-way RF Kit.

My only question is: if I want to use the trunk release button on the Fortin RF 2 way remote, does that now mean I have to hook up the trunk release wire from the Fortin MAZT1 to the cars trunk release wire?

If that is the case, can I get the wire color and location since my 3 days expired on wirecolor.com?

My understanding is that once I install the RF Kit, I have to reprogram the brain with the RF Externder controls.

The yellow/black wire that comes from the 20pin connector on the EVO-ONE is labeld as "trunk release(output)" in the manual. This is the same wire I am suppose to use to trigger an auxillary accesory such as my rear defrost(which is what I wan to do).

Does this mean I can use the trunk release button on my OEM fob to trigger the rear defrost? I'm hopping it will trigger the defrost if the car is running without opening my trunk and then go back to only opening my trunk when the car is off.

Honda accord, civic and Acura etc...Most of Hyundai having problem not communicatiing once in a while when using data-link, so I do installs using without data-link and this is not a big deal.

Honda has no issue using data-link but trunk release is not working. I had to use relay separately to make reverse polarity trigger. This was okay off-season but during remote start season, this will slow us down for sure.

Is there any fix for this without using relay?

Or using without data-link would take care of this issue?

instaled ultra start remote starter with evo all bypass folowed wire color wireing diagram and evo all conection 1 and prgram 1 I also found that the wires to the transponder are not the same colors but test the same as diagram powers in the same spot and grond in same spot all wires seem to be ok .car does start and unlock and lock everthing works good exceot win starting trunk opens just wondered why???? thx tom butler also checked all powers and grounds to unit .they are ok 12 volts and under load 11.5 volts . ground is not pulling down under lod seems to be good tryed ground in two diff spots

2011 G37 with EVO all as stand alone I am noticing that pressing the trunk button it will lock the car. Cannot remember but this maybe happening when the car is under remote start command.
