Issue with lock/unlock external input control signals

I have a 2011 VW Touareg and have installed an evo-all unit with the t-harness. Everything seems to be working ok but need help with pins a2 and a3. When providing a negative pulse to a3 it cycles the ignition on for a few seconds and turns off. It does unlock the doors but not sure why the ignition turns on. The lock wire seems to function normal. Is this a setting that needs to be adjusted ?

VW Jetta 2015 - No Key even after Decrypt seems to have worked fine

I have installed a EVO ALL on a Jetta 2015 TDI (Push Start - Automatic). I have the EVO ALL, THAR-VW1 and TB-VW installed as per instructions (I decided to skip the trunk release wiring as I didn't find the feature useful for me case). The EVO All is programmed with Diesel Option enabled and it went through the Decryptor without any issues.

When I press the 3 lock sequence, the dash lights up (I had a previous problem that now brought me up to this point) but the dash says 'NO KEY'. The car starts if I get the key in the car, but not if the key is not in the car. I was wondering what could be the problem. The only item that I was wondering is that I reprogrammed (changed options) on the EVO ALL but didn't run the decript after, would this cause this issue? The car is store off site so I will drive in the morning and try this. But what other issues could this be?

Signs of a decryption issue (Bypass) on a VW Jetta 2015

I have installed a EVO ALL on a Jetta 2015 TDI (Push Start - Automatic). I have the EVO ALL, THAR-VW1 and TB-VW installed as per instructions (I decided to skip the trunk release wiring as I didn't find the feature useful for me case). The EVO All is programmed with Diesel Option enabled and it went through the Decryptor without any issues. But when I press the 3 lock sequence. It doesn't start or crank. I see the red light turns on, and then the yellow light turn on... and it repeats this procedure twice (as per the options programmed). The dash of the car doesnt come on (as expected) during the sequence. I will check the brake lights when I have time but I was wondering if there is possibly something wrong with the bypass.
2015 VW GTI Manual, remote start worked once but now just cranks

Just finished installing an Evo-one LTE in my 2015 VW GTI, manual with push to start (mfg. in 2015) using the TB-VW and Thar-vw1 I had some issues with the first iteration of programming but eventually hard reset the Evo module, reflashed it, re programmed with R-link. Installed back in the car and the remote start worked! Buttoned it all up, got the car in ready mode just to test it and it just cranks, but won’t start.

my connections and programming were all fine if it started the first time so what would cause this?
I see options listed for the standard MK7 Golf and Golf R, as well as the MK6-generation GTI.
Would the systems for the MK7 Golf or Golf R work with my GTI?

2007 City Golf evo one 411 install

I am going to be installing an evo one 441 into a 2007 City Golf manual, for the handbrake reading another question I am on my own for the clutch bypass which is easy enough, however the guide says that lock/unlock/arm/disarm/foot brake are not supported, I was under the impression this car is electrically identical to a 2002-04 mk4 Golf which has those features supported. I don't mind making the extra connections if need be however obviously rather have it all done via CAN

So does the City Golf support lock/unlock/arm/disarm via CAN like the earlier 02-04 Golf or no?

Thanks

I talked to 1 of your techs today on the phone about it not starting at brake and he said there may be another black & red wire for the brake but after looking at the factory wire schematic & taking the plug down again and physically looking at it, there is only 1 red & black but there is a {black& violet} & {black & yellow} after the brake switch on the schematic, so im thinking going to one of those? at this point ive tried everything else i know to do.
i watch the lights on the evo as i hit the remote start it goes through all 3 lights then after stays on 2 orange lights or 1 glowing over to look like 2? and still says "brake" on the dash as its trying

brake lights come on as its going through the process of trying to start also

so it looks and acts like its going to but fails, checked every connection with my fluke meter also, everything is wired correctly only wire in question i suppose is the brake
and i dont care about having to press on the brake pedal so if there are wires to connect or cut to just do away with this feature im all for it to get this project done

P.S. I never did get a blue flash after plugging in all the plugs and turning on ignition, just lights turned off so dont know if thats normal and not mentioned in the guide? or if something is still wrong?

thank you!

Re-wrapped extra fob, now neither works

Original VW starter installed by an installer into a Tiguan after I purchased it. Someone borrowed the car, forgot to take my fob, and decided to pull out the hidden fob from under the dash. The wire coil and black tape are gone; only two bare leads coming out from under the dash remain.

I took the battery-less fob he pulled out and wrapped it 12 times with 24 gauge insulated wire, then crimped the two ends of that wire to the leads sticking out from under the dash. It does not do anything. I tried wrapping different numbers of turns up to 16, same.

Worse, my main fob stopped working. It does not do anything. Tried replacing battery, same. Tried reset procedure (using physical key, unlock/lock), same.

Anybody know what might be going on?

2015 VW Golf Evo-One Manual Trans, TB-VW THAR-VW6, No Start, Ready Mode Error

I have a 2015 VW Golf.

Installed and programmed Evo-One with TB-VW, and THAR-VW6.

I run the car, and am able to enter ready mode by pressing brake, pulling handbrake, then releasing brake, and pressing start on the fob. The car responds, and I am able to remove they key. I get out and close the door, and the car seems to go into ready mode giving one flash of the parking lights.

When I send the remote start command with the fob, the car starts the procedure and then gives me 3 flashes before even trying to crank.

Is it possible there are any settings in the evo-one that may be causing the vehicle to lose ready mode before it starts.
I also tried a regular rf kit that works but every time I press lock/unlock the igntion comes on and off on the dash I'm not sure if that's normal? I checked the wires everything looks right so I'm not sure what it could be.
2013 Touareg 3.0 TDI, unit programs fine however when 3x lock the vehicle dash lights up but no crank. I triple checked PIN2 of the BCM connector for the brake lights as directly across in PIN18 is the same color wire, also with a test light at the module it lights up with ign on and pressing the brake pedal. I assume its an option in the module that needs changing.
first install was with thar-aud1 that didnt work ignition didnt come on and it was asking to remove key from ignition

second install was wire to wire installation worked fine could program the key ect. tried remote start ignition comes on but no start at first ign on if i touch the brake it would stall soon after at second ign on (on same remote start attempt) it keeps running. verified yellow/red wire to black/red wire all seems ok. i got 12v at black/red if i touch the brake. at one time while trying car start even if yellow/red was connected.

car is a diesel if that matters.

VW 2019 Atlas Programming/CAN Issue

Recently tried to install EVO One in 2019 Atlas Push to Start. Latest Bypass Firmware Installed.

T-Harness VW6 & TB-VW Installed.

In the Instructions it mentions the CAN BUS is in the Steering Wheel Module Control.
This is a Non-Heated Steering Wheel and does not have the CAN Wires present in the OEM Connector. No Orange/Green or Orange/Brown Wires - Pins 3 and 4

Using WireColor - I have found and connected the Wires to the Driver Door Harness and confirmed the CAN Lines are correct.
Data CAN Bus (High) Orange / Green Steering lock module. 4 pin connector or driver door harness
Data CAN Bus (Low) Orange / Brown Steering lock module. 4 pin connector or driver door harness

During Programming - Step 1 - Released on Blue Light. Step 2 - Connected all Cables. Step 3 - Turn On Ignition. Step 4 - Press and release programming button once and wait for Rapid Flash of Blue Light and it never gets past this Step.

I have confirmed CAN Lines and Transponder Wires.

Just to also confirm - We cant use CAN BUS 2 from the OBD, Correct?

Any other Ideas of programming issue?
2017 Golf Alltrack PTS no start

2017 VW Golf Alltrack PTS A/T

Installed EVO-VWT1 with r-link stand alone, programed unit to lock-unlock-lock and vehicle started without any problems 4 times.

Decided to change the setting to 3x lock start and and turned on reset protection for EVO-ALL, but after pluging evo back vehicle does not start, no blue, yellow or red led flashing when i lock or unlock the doors.

Unit recieves power as i tested with programing step one (hold button while pluging 4pin) and all leds alternate.

Decided to ask if anyone had same issue before i try master reset.

2011 Tiguan starts and stops and says key not in range. Starts fine with key

Helping a friend install evo all and T harness vw2 and TBVW, installed and programmed fine, key starts car no issue but when remote starting car shuts off right away and says key not in range. TBVW is soldered in if that connection was bad then I would think I would have issues key starting it. What should I look at first? replacing the TBVW? I would assume the wiring back to the module is good since it programmed no problem. Immobilizer bypass is enabled in programming as well.

EVO-ALL THAR-VW3 TB-VW Issues

2012 VW Jetta (Gas) Key Start

EVO-ALL
THAR-VW3
TB-VW

Everything was soldered! Programmed good but it didn't remote start at the first time but the it auto tried the 2nd time, started fine this time and a few times after.. client took the car home.. all good..

1 week later, got a call from the client saying that the remote starter is not working and also wont start normally wiith the key. The only way they got it started was they unhooked the battery and replug it again.

The next day, got another call and client said that the vehicle stopped while driving.. they pulled over and waiting a few minutes and the vehicle started again but engine light came on. Took it to a shop and scanned codes:

Code: B104C29
Description: Key - Implausible Signal
State: Passive/abiogenesis

Code: 00474
Description: Anti-Theft Immobilizer System Control Module
State: No Signal/Communication

I got the vehicle back into the shop.. replaced the EVO-ALL.. double checked all my connections and even used the opposite side of the transponder wire pair.. soldered it and made sure that the TB-VW wire config is going the right way.. programmed fine but now the vehicle remote starts fine on first try!

Guess what.. client called back again after a few days with the same no remote and key start issue.. battery unplug and replug make it work again,

Got the vehicle again and now ths time.. i actually replaced the THAR-VW3 and the TB-VW. Its been 2 weeks now and client hasn't called back yet..

Now... i have to figure out if the T-Harness will cause no start, stall and engine light codes

D2D Cable

Hi, I ordered EVO RS (EVO-VWT3) that comes with T-harness and the module + TB-VW.

Also in the package I noticed I got a D2D Cable Black-White 4 pin conector. I am installing this on Jetta 2011 Key Automatic No key required, using OEM key to start.

My question, in the diagrams I do not see where I plug this D2D conector, is it for diffrent use? Please clarify.
Proper modules for 2013 VW GTI std key manual trans

I want to make sure I purchase the correct devices for a smooth install. My understanding is that because I have a manual transmission, I need the Evo-One, TB VW transponder bypass, Flashlink Updater 2, 7.5amp fuse, and relay.

Can anyone confirm the Flashlink Updater 2 is needed as opposed to the latest Flashlink Updater 4?

No T-Harness available for 2013 VW GTI standard key yet?

Is it compatible with the Prestige PE2LCDZ 2-way remote transmitter kit key fob flashlogic RF start 1 mile? If not, is there any adapter that would enable compatiblity with the prestige RF kit?

Thank you for your help!!

3x lock doesn't work, 2018 VW Tiguan

Hi, I installed the EVO-ALL in my 2018 Tiguan today. The car is an automatic transmission, without virtual cluster and using a standard key (not a push to start).

I used the EVO-ALL hardware version 7 with the THAR-VW2 harness with the keywrap method for a standalone installtion (Guide # 72011). The EVO-ALL firware is updated to version 7.64.06 from 2019-11-23 as recommened by FlashLink Manager (Guide 72011 is recommending at least hardware version 6 with firmware 6.75.35) I did not changed any settings except for the run time which is now set to maximum and kept all the recommended settings turned on.

The EVO-ALL programmed sucessfully (solid blue led when connecting the data-link, connected remaining connectors, turned the key to ON, blue led flashed rapidly, turned key off).

Now the car will start normally when using the key, but when trying to remote start using 3X lock with the OEM remote, the car wont start and there is no activity on the EVO-ALL (no LED).

I double checked my connections at least 5 times. I'm pretty sure they are all good, I soldered the wires as per aviation standards (I'm an avionic tech so making good solder is an everyday task for me). The dark blue wire for the valet switch isn't installed yet (not grounded).

The troubleshooting section of Fortin's website is telling me ''If the red led does not turn on verify the options needed for the evo''. So I'm a little lost, any idea what I am missing?

	Thanks for your time

why is a sacrifice key required for 2012-2015 vw standard key installation?

im looking to install the evo-one system with the THAR-vw3 and its showing a sacrifice key wraped to complete the installation... im confused as to what the function is, as i thought the modual would learn and act as a transponder for the key. is there a way around this with a more direct fit system?

2011 VW TIGUAN w/ PTS - STAND ALONE WITH KEY INSTALL

Robb-

I promise this will be it from me regarding questions! I wanted to quickly update you on a chat I had with an installer today, and they said for a VW 2011 TIG w/ PTS they have used a VW1 harness and referenced GUIDE #65501. I found it interesting that it shows PTS TIGS dated 2012 - 2017 too, which the tech speculated was probably the first year in Canada the PTS came out. This guide only comes up on your search tool if I enter a 2014 VW TIG w/ PTS too, but I can imagine keeping all this data linked up and straight is tough enough.

Here is my last question: To eliminate complexity on more unknowns I am going to just leave a valet key with chip in the vehicle vs fooling around with programming a TB-VW on an unknown config using Decrypter. What I can not undertand is why GUIDE #65501 depicts NOT SPLICING into the OEM transponder wire, and just wrapping the key and the detector on the column with the wire loop coming off the EVO-ALL harness. How will this solution not make the vehicle think there is ALWAYS a key in range for a manul start no matter what?? Is the trick to place the looped key a certain distance AWAY from the steering column OEM transponder so it can not pick it up? This one confused me, since this manual specifically states not to cut into the OEM transponder wire like every other Fortin install I have read.

I want to also thank you for all your help! Truly a great resource.

2011 VW Tiguan Install Option Clarification

Asking this second question in a new thread since it is specific to install guide content. It appears when I search for a 2011 VW Tiguan install options, that the one for an EV)-ALL with the VW2 harness AND a TB-VW pulls up the install guide for a 2012 and up VW Tiguan. Is this guide actually applicable to a 2011 VW TIG, or is this a linking error? It also makes me question if the VW2 harness is correct for a 2011 VW TIG vs the older VW1 iteration?

Thanks for the support!

2011 VW Tiguan - EVO ALL Stand Alone Remote Start w/ OEM Key COMPATIBLE?

I see some conflicting info out here that has me concerned an EVO-ALL will not work properly for a stand alone remote start install on a 2011 VW Tiguan.

	1) My 2011 Tiguan is technically "push to start" with a transponder chip FOB to allow a start without a true keyed ignition. The install guides reference a STANDARD KEY install, but do show the key FOB wire looping to bypass the transponder. I just want to be sure upon entering the vehicle after a remote start I would do what... "push the start button and brake" to confirm I had entered the vehicle to simulate turning a manual ignition key to ON? Or is this a dealbreaker?

	2) One of your techs stated that on a 2011 VW Tiguan NO REMOTE UNLOCK is possible with the OEM FOB after a remote start. Is this true? And if YES, how the heck would I get into the vehicle after a remote start locked the doors and fired up the ignition? The manual emergency key? Here is the thread...

What do I need for smartphone start

2012 Passat TDI push to start. I want to have smartphone start. That is all I want. Do not want to carry two remotes. I looked on the website and I figure I need an Evo all, VW T harness, bypass module and an Evo start. Will that do what I need?
