Hello. I wonder why you don't include BMW F15, F30, etc. in the Fortin list? It's a simple logic: After the bypass relay is turned on (key in the coil), after 2 sec. pulse on a start-stop for 1 sec... After 3 sec. f pulse to the brake pedal for 5 sec. and after 2 sec. a start-stop pulse for 1 sec. (500 Ohm...or 680 Ohm...or 1000 Ohm). I'm struggling to put this together with some kind of autostart, but it would be easier with Fortin.

Correct, without the int-bmw2 (which is discontinued) remote start is not possible on that vehicle.

EVO-ONE cant affect anything in regards to starting. It's not really connected to the car aside from power and ground.

If the INT-BMW2 is not properly seated or if there is a bad/broken connection on the clutch wires, THAT may not allow the car to start.

2010 BMW 3 series should work.

It would install the same as a int-bmw2. The wires colors on the module are the same as well.

Yes but there would be no diagram. There would only be this generic guide and you would have to locate, test and connect all wires that are needed.

Yes it can be done.

You would need the following for remote start:

1- Crimestopper remote starter

2- Evo-All

3- INT-BMW2

4- Flash link updater

5- A key for the vehicle to be sacrificed for the installation.

Not that i am aware of.

That feature is refered to as the Smart Comfort group ( or something like that), when purchasing the car. Smart comfort does not require the key in the key port to start the car.

How did you solve this problem finally? I also installed evo-one with int2 and the engine is turns off after the brake is pressed. And yet, the engine is not turns off from far away with 3 clicks on the lock.

This is not entirely correct.

While each regular CAN wire will test ~2.5V to earth, K-CAN lines ("K-LINE") on a BMW will read out ~0.25V to a maximum of ~5V with ignition on. These values will fluctuate when communication is present on the bus. The regular CAN ("D-CAN") bus, such as the one found on the OBD2 port (pins 6 and 14) will not work for remote starter & bypass installations.

On a 2008 E60 535i, K-CAN wires are yellow (low) and black (high), and I confirmed this with a visual inspection, testing with a voltmeter, and looking up BMW TIS diagrams.

It also will not stop correctly if the ribbon cable is not seated properly in the connector. Not the end that goes back into the key port, but the part that goes on the factory harness.

I just explained that you cannot use D2D between the Viper and the Evo-All, since the Evo-all has to be in Fortin protocol to be able to communicate with the INT-BMW-2

There is no such thing as arm/disarm inputs on Vipers as far as I know, only outputs, you cannot control your viper that way.

Our Evo-One can in certain vehicles be armed and disarmed by the oem remotes via CAN.

Tonight customer comes back.

I remote start the car, then unplug the 4p data wire.

Then press unlock. Heaters are not ON. So, the heater ON command is sent from CANBUS network not wiring.

Then I connect back the 4P data wire.

I find a funny thing. I press one more time unlock, the heater tempreture level goes down 1 grid. press..press..the heater is OFF. Press, heater is ON.

It seems the remote control can adjust the seat heater cycling from OFF to ON.

If you have newer firmware to fix this, could you send it to me? I have all kinds of MCU tools.

After remote started, unlock and press brake, the ignition of 5704 is OFF , not providing output to INTBMW2 anymore. that causes INTBMW2 shutdown engine.

Turn on Options F3 and C1

Take over will work as long as the INT-BMW receives the Unlock command from the remote starter remote or the OEM remote (make sure option C1 is turned on in the EVO-ALL). Make sure you wire the unlock from the remote starter to the INT-BMW2 since this part is NOT D2D.

The only option would to follow the instruction for a manual transmission BMW and shave off one of the side tab.

There's pictures there so whatever X5 we had when wirecolor was done had those colors.

It is very possible though that vehicles can have different colored wires depending on where they were built.

There's a way to test the brake switch by process of elimination:

GND, IGN, BRAKE(10V), BRAKE(12V)

Do not use the 10V brake signal
Do not use the GND wire (should be brown)
use the IGN and the BRAKE(12V)

Orange and Orange/Blaack go to the BRAKE 12V wire.
Pink and Pink/black to the Ignition wire.

We don't offer 3x Lock start on any BMW.

A remote starter installation on this vehicle requires the following parts.

INT-BMW2 (this controls the vehicles brake and push button)
EVO-ALL (this monitors the can-bus for various statuses and also controls the INT-BMW2)
An aftermarket remote starter of your choice
A spare key that you will have to sacrifice for transponder bypass

Aside from those parts, working on any BMW electronics is meticulous and should only be done by a trained technician who is familiar with aftermarket accessory integration on vehicles.

The other (brown) wire beside the orange is the brake sense input from the R.S.

On the right there is only one wire connected (looks like two from the angle of the photo). It is the pink/black, the tone of the pink may look a little different as I had to extend the length using some spare wire I had.

Can wires should be Green and Orange/Green (may look like Brown/Green) twisted pair of wires.

These are the K-Can wires if you have access to the vehicle's wiring diagram

These wires can be found either at the driver's kickpanel OR at the BCM, passenger side behind glovebox, behind the radio, footwell module, dirver's seat module to name a few locations.

sounds like maybe you are using the lock/unlock wires on the vehicle instead of lock/arm - unlock/disarm. Not sure though. Maybe it has to do with how the viper system works. I have installed Viper responder 3305V with the Evo-All W2W successfully on my BMW E90, but I noticed that when the alarm triggers, the flashers are not blinking! Although they do blink when I open & close the doors using the Viper remote.

The viper has a flasher signal wire, but it is not connected to the Evo-All. should it be connected? which pin? If not, how can I make the flashers blink when the alarm triggers?

Hi Jay,

Brake status from remote starter connects to the INT-BMW2. The EVO-ALL will not supply the remote starter with brake status. INT-BMW2 Installation Guide - Revision 20130328

Door statuss' are not required unless the vehicle is manual transmission and/or if you are installing an alarm system. We are currently aware that some older 5-series are having troubles with the door status signal. This will be resolved in the future but not anytime soon as we need more than one older 5-series for testing.

The EVO-ALL should still work for the Can-Bus features but it was never tested on that vehicle. If you already have some EVO-ALLs in stock just connect Can-Hi-Lo, ignition and program the unit, then test the required outputs you would need like door trigger, hood trigger, trunk trigger door locks etc...

Hi Christopher,

If you use the INT-BMW2 install guide and the EVO-ALL install guide, all required connections are pointed out. I'd recommend not bothering with datalink connections if you are not familiar with it; all the dotted lines in INT-BMW guide should be connected to appropriate wires of the VIper system. I'd recommend looknig at the EVO-ALL only install guide also because it indicates 2 or 3 more wires you should connect from the EVO to the Viper system, such as trunk status.

In short, there will not be many connections made from the Viper system to the vehicle besides for 12V, Ground, Parking Lights and installing the Siren.

As a little warning, If connections at the brake are not properly done, you will blow the brake switch.

We're going to need to get a car in to test this. At the moment, your best bet would be to wire to door triggers directly or use the dome supervision wire.
