Hello,

Modules with a manufacture date of 2017 and older cannot be configured using the flash link or reset. Please use a unit with a manufcature date of 2018+.

These units can still be used as is as long as the vehicle it is being installed into requires no computer configuration of the evo.
Hello,

Fortin does not offer an all in 1 solution for this vehicle, Fortin does offer immobilizer bypass (pats-gm), however it has not been made in some years now so you would need to find NOS online if possible.

You would still need to purchase and wire in a remote starter module aslong with the pats gm.

https://fortin.ca/en/vehicles/pontiac/grand-prix/2004-standard-key/compatibility/
Répondu: 2004 Pontiac Vibe Install

we spoke via the phone.

Just wanted to update this for anyone looking in the future.

- master reset starter, set option 20.2, pair remotes, car starts and runs.

Underlying issue was a connection problem or so it appeared at the time with the brake wire on the evo.

Glad we got it sorted together.

Best Regards.

Répondu: Missing Data wire

Most old style install guides do not cover remote starter connections, only bypass connections.

Data BCM is for keyless control and probably will not be required on the 2009 model.

Just a little note, your module is currently flashed to a Mazda CX-5 and has firmware 4.18 in it. You will need firmware 4.06 or 70.18 for the unit to program correctly and also a MASTER RESET is highly suggested since the unit i am assuming was used on another car.

Répondu: FX64-2W WITH EVO ONE pontiac pursuit

The EVO-ALL has two antenna ports... use port (B) for DATA-LINK ANTENNA (the one on the left and the only one that the included harness with the FX64-2W will proper mate with.)

In order for the FX64-2W to work, you must enable Fortin 2 protocol when programming your EVO-ALL.

Once your installation is complete, you will have to enter programming and pair your remote fobs (You must be able to enter programming via the valet button to do this):

- Turn on ignition and immediately press and hold the valet button until you get confirmation (park lights and/or horn).

- Press and release the valet switch 5-times.

- Press and release the foor brake pedal.

- On each remote transmitter fob, press [-] then the LOCK button. You will get a pairing confirmation on the transmitter and the vehicle will flash the park lights.

-Once you are done adding transmitters, turn off the ignition.

If you cannot enter programming mode, make sure you have properly connected ignition to the EVO-ALL in accordance to your schematic (Usually connected for both the RS and Bypass to detect ignition). If you can enter programming but can't pair the transmitters, make sure you have properly connected your brake wire if not via data. If your brake is to be detected by data, make sure you have properly programmed your EVO-ALL so it is properly communicating to the vehicle's data bus. The EVO-ONE needs to detect the pressing of the brake pedal to allow the transmitters to be paired.

I hope this helps - Good luck.

- Chad

Répondu: Is there a way to bypass 1998 Grand-Am with a single wire to Car Data Connector pin # 2 or Pin #9

The only bypass available would be the PasslockSL2-V2 which connects to the ignition barrel...

I don't know how much help this would be, but... the Passlock system is pretty straight forward. Technically all it is is a variation in voltage caused by an internal resistor in the actual key barrel. Replicate the voltage/resistance when wanting to start the engine.

Considering the Passlock has been araound for ages already, and unfortunately had many problems. The internet is filled with information on how to work around it.

Répondu: I am getting nothing.

	Hi Scott,

What is the 12 digit service number written on the back of the EVO?

If you want to anything by email, send it to support@ifar.ca , comments/answers will be posted here after.

If you're only having problems with lock and unlock not working, this is most of the time related to the "Data Key Less" connection between the EVO and the BCM in your center console.

When the EVO receives a negative lock or unlock signal, you should be seeing a Blue light flicker on the unit. A quick and easy test, would be to ground yourself the purple or purple/white of the EVO to see if it makes a difference with your door locks.

with out the special key present I can still start the car.

You will need to contact the advanced keys tech support for this.

Répondu: how do i know if my evoall has the correct firmware my 2004 montana requires 4.06

You can do 3 things:

1. Provide the service number under the bar code on the label of the module here or check on the Fortin website. It will show what firmware it's flashed with.

2. Ask where you purchased it from. If you gave them the vehicle info, it should have been flashed. Otherwise they left it at default and never took out of the box, which means it has the newest firmware at the time of manufacture.

3. Purchase Flashlink Updater and use it to check yourself. Will also be needed if the firmware needs to be changed.

Répondu: Will my key override all work on a vehicle not listed? 2000 pontiac bonneville

Hi Justin,

Unfortunatly, the only working bypass module for that specific vehicle are Evo-All, INT-SL+ or PATS-GM.

Have a nice day

Répondu: Just wanted to confirm the evo-all will work on the passlock or passkey of a 2005 pontiac pursuit.

Hi,

The Passlock-SL2 will always work for the bypass.

The EVO-ALL will work ior the bypass, but only if the vehicle is equipped with a PK3+ system(There would be a "+" engraved into the shaft of the key if this is the case.

Répondu: 2007 Pontiac G6 EVO-ALL

Well, on a better not, your test confirms the EVO is working properly and their is a timing problem from the remote starter.

We have seen lately a little timing bug.

Do not connect anything to the purple/white wire of the EVO. When a disarm signal is sent their before the (-)G-w-R, the EVO does not have time to properly do the transponder bypass.

If this works, I would recommend using datalink connections and programming the EVO to option 12 if you require the vehicle to unlock before start / relock after start

Here are some pointers,

Yellow wire of the EVO needs to be on Accessory, not ignition like all our other installations

If the green/white and green/red are reversed, the vehicle would not start

If accessory is being turned on at the same time as ignition, the vehicle will not start

If (-)G-w-R turns on at the same time as accessory, the vehicle may not start properly

Répondu: 2008 Pontiac G5 evo all security light stay on after remote start.

On some vehicles, the security light will turn during remote start but go away once the key is inserted and take-over is done.

If the light stay on even after take over, theres a few things you may want to look at:

Firmware should not be problem as long as you have 4.06 and above

VDATA wires may be reversed (green/white and green/red)

For vehicles with the PK3 stamped on the key. The red/white wire at the transponder connector needs to be cut, not the Brown wire.

The red light will only turn on when the unit is active. It will activate when a ground is present on the blue wire. So basically, what you are describing, means everything is working as is :)
