Hi,

I was trying to update the firmware of my Flashlink Updater v5 from 4.8 to 4.11. I followed the procedure in the Flashlink Manager screen but disconnecting and connecting the Flashlink Updater, the progress stuck at 1% and the Flashlink Manager closed while the blue and green lights were blinking. Now the Flashlink Updater is bricked and it cannot be recognized by the Flashlink Manager. Please let me know what can I do to get it back?

Eva-All modules with PTS

Hello friends,

We are a newly forming company developing products for vehicle access and start/stop integrations.

We are working on using EVO-ALL on Push-To-Start (PTS) vehicles to execute Start/Stop and Lock/Unlock functions via a hardwired external trigger (MCU/digital input).

Our first test vehicle is a 2020 Honda CR-V (PTS). For this vehicle, we are considering the EVO-ALL module.

1) Does the EVO-ALL support engine START/STOP control via an “external trigger / hardwired input”?

(Either as a toggle input or as separate START and STOP inputs.)

Additionally, when we perform an engine start through the module, the immobilizer bypass must be handled automatically.

2) In the same way, is it possible to trigger door LOCK/UNLOCK and TRUNK OPEN functions via “external inputs” (hardwired MCU control) using EVO-ALL?

3) For this vehicle, is the required hardware EVO-ALL + THAR/T-Harness + FlashLink/programming tool?

Could you please share the exact product part numbers?

Also, for vehicles without PTS hardware (basic mechanical ignition with immobilizer), do you offer any modules to add an external Engine Start/Stop button?

Ideally, we are looking for solutions that can be implemented via relays.

After successful field tests, we plan to expand to other vehicles (PTS and non-PTS) such as Hyundai/Fiat/Mercedes, and then proceed with volume purchases.

I have a technical question regarding the RS-232 data link functionality of the EVO-ONE device.

In the product description, EVO-ONE is specified as having:
“2 × 2-way datalink ports for data-to-data (RS-232) communication with compatible external devices such as smartphones and GPS telematic units.”

Could you please clarify the following points:

Is it possible to connect custom / third-party devices to these RS-232 ports, or are they limited to officially supported external devices only?
Is there any publicly available technical documentation or protocol specification describing the RS-232 interface (message format, baud rates, supported commands, etc.)?
Can EVO-ONE operate as both a master and a slave on the RS-232 interface?
Is it possible to read or modify EVO-ONE parameters via RS-232, or is the interface strictly read-only / data-forwarding?
If configuration access via RS-232 is restricted, is this functionality available under NDA or partner programs?

I would appreciate any guidance on the supported use cases and the availability of documentation.

And could you please explain why this limitation exists at all? It is the same car and the same module for remote start, so why am I not allowed to attempt decryption, for example, 300 times if needed?

I would understand a limitation on the number of different vehicles per module, but limiting the number of attempts on the same vehicle seems rather strange.

Bought this unit new in 2021 - flashed it for my parent's van. They've been severely ill off and on - just got time to get their van and even though I have the right firmware on it - I can't change the settings to match the install guide or do the decryptor part? I had no idea about the 5 year old limitation - been installing these for years. Should warn on the box because places are definetly unloading their oldest stock on people.

i just got an evo start lte and there's a yellow wire that says "ignition must be connected" but there's ignition 1 and ignition 2 on my harness and every thing seems to be working as its supposed its starts stops and opens/locks door. does yellow wire realy need to be connected??? there's absolutely no installation manual just some quick start thing.

car is a 23 tundra.

also millage and fuel levels are stuck at 0 will that update on its own or does this depend on the car??

also when i start car with ignintion switch parking lights work. when i do through the remote start i get no parking lights. i reflashed multiple times

how do i get fortin key fobs to co exist with the cl7 telematics?. the port next to the one that the remotes are supposed to fit in are too small and i cant get to work with a y cable key fob wont work but i can hit button 3 times an put it into vallet mode when i put receiver in the cl7 harness.

or do i have to get a fortin evo lte for both to work??? i want telematics but still want to use the fortin remotes to arm/disarm the alarm part with out the oem remotes dissarming since they are prone to relay attacks

since the factory remote is prone to relay attacks and the fortin remotes are not can i set it up so that the factory key fob cant arm/disarm the fortin alarm?? i would like the only things that can dissarm the fortin alarm function is the fortin keyfob and the ascl7 module. id would be woried that if there is a relay attack the factory key fob would dissarm it.

Hello. I am trying to install an EVO-All with GMT1V2 T-harness in a 2014 chevrolet cruze. (remote starter is programmed and works with OEM remote) I have an RFK-442 kit I would like to install without the RFA2A adapter. I have 12v and ground present at the datalink from the t-harness. Am I wrong to believe that the antenna kit can wired into the Datalink plug? I have wired it as such, When I plug in the antenna. the LED will light for a second. but when I follow the RF kit learning prcedure for the EVO-All. the antenna LED does not respond. Is the RFA2A really required? Thanks

Installed EVO-ONE car starts with OEM remote, and valet button works. After using the OEM unlock I tried to program 942 and can not ever get a blue LED on antenna blinking or solid, even following the on-off-on instructions. Valet button on antenna does not work. I checked out the antenna cable and it is good. I do NOT get a blue flash of the antenna LED when I plug in the antenna connector. Tried plugging the antenna into the Flashlink programmer and it can not be detected even when "special unit" is checked. Is there anything else I can do to determine if it is a bad antenna or something else ?

Bought a used car that came with an Evo One installed, but no remotes. The car came with an FMH 2-W antenna. I can get in programming mode with this setup using the valet button and get to the quick flashing blue led state. I can do the sequence to forget the remotes and reset the settings.

I have bought a remote kit (RFK3641) that came with an FM3 antenna. I disconnected the FMH2W and connnected the FM3 (I know it goes in a different connector on the Evo One). With that installed, I cannot enter programming mode for the remotes. I get the horn after turning the ignition on and holding the valet button. Then I get the horn again after pressing the button once. I hit the brake, but never get the quick flashing LED on the FM3 antenna.

Do I have to do anything special when changing from one model of antenna to another?

Hi does the EVOStart lte disable gps when the vehicle is off? I noticed in the app when the vehicle is running the gps symbol in the app is red meaning active. When I park the car and check the app like 10 minutes later I noticed the GPS symbol is black meaning no signal/off. Is that normal or is it a power saving feature when the vehicle is off and periodically checks gps every so often? Or is it off the entire time the vehicle is turned off?

Back on the days Aston Martin used lots of Ford parts on the engine and Volvo parts on the cabin, such as the trunk release system, navigation, audio system and fob remote control.
