I grounded and connected the 12v adapter. I went through the steps in the programming guide. Turn ignition to on position, press and hold valet button until horn chirps, press valet button 1x, press brake 1x, press lock button on remote, press brake 1x, turn off ignition.</span></p> <p> I did not modify the 4-pin connector at all.
