Relay clicks 3 times when releasing brake pedal while driving.

When I release the brake pedal while driving I hear a relay clicking 3 times. This happens intermittently. Some days it happens every time I release the brake pedal, some days it doesn't happen at all. This never happened for years after the original install, but started happening a few months ago.

Installed on 2013 Mustang GT, manual transmission, with option 33.2 enabled.

I am writing to report an issue with my car’s remote start and shutdown process. When I press the lock button on the car key three times, the car starts remotely, as expected. However, after entering the car by pressing the unlock button, I encounter a problem: when I press the ‘Press to Start’ button twice in succession and then press the brake, the engine shuts off immediately, and the message ‘Wegfahrsperre’ appears. Could you please help me understand and resolve this issue?”

On the first press, the blue light blinks. On the second press, the blue light also blinks. On the third press, the blue light blinks, followed by the red and yellow lights. The blue light then turns off, leaving only the red and yellow lights on.

My issue is that I want the engine to keep running so I can drive immediately, rather than having the engine shut off when I press the brake pedal and then needing to restart it to get going.

I am trying to do the key bypass steps as described in the stand alone Evo All Lincoln MKT 2010-2014 installation instructions, but getting stuck after being told to insert the oem remote (without battery) into the keyport and press and release the brake pedal to get the unit to display the red LED. The unit only continues to disply the yellow LED despite me pressing and releasing the brake pedal (waiting 5 seconds between each push) up to 50 times. I am using firmware .57, as instructed in the instructions, and have flashed the unit mutiple times. I have also reset the unit and reflashed all to no avail.

This is a weird one, because the car remote starts pretty much every other remote start session. I'm not sure what's causing that as I checked the wiring and it doesnt seem like anything is wrong. So here it goes, when i try to remote start the car from far I see my brake lights turn on* (as in the brakes are being pressed) but the car does not start. the problem is mainly that the brake lights STAY ON unless I actually go to the car and start it myself, however even when i get to the car nothing pretty much works. I press the brakes myself and when I press the the push to start button it stays on lock (it goes LOCK-ACC-ON) so i pretty much freak out, unlock and lock mulitple times, press and depress the brake while keep hitting the push to start untill it goes off and then I manually start it.

I have verified all the wires, reflashed and reverified the software. I checked during remote start the brake lights don't come on.

I've tried diesel mode.

if I sit in the car and remote start it, and then press the brake pedal it will start.

Evo-all with TW harness kit.

also I have the Evo-Start 2, I can pair it to the Evo-all. But if I send it commands it receives it with a green flash, but then does a amber flash saying it can communicate with the Evo-all. D1 is on and H2 is on.

2016 Tiguan brake and accessories come on but does not turn over, cycles twice.

All lights check out to be correct. Car turns acessories on and applies brake then nothing, then it tries it again and stops for good after that. I have a keywrap right now. Do i the the TB-VW?

first install was with thar-aud1 that didnt work ignition didnt come on and it was asking to remove key from ignition

second install was wire to wire installation worked fine could program the key ect. tried remote start ignition comes on but no start at first ign on if i touch the brake it would stall soon after at second ign on (on same remote start attempt) it keeps running. verified yellow/red wire to black/red wire all seems ok. i got 12v at black/red if i touch the brake. at one time while trying car start even if yellow/red was connected.

car is a diesel if that matters.

I have an Evo One starts and stop from FTX64- 2W, tried it in two different vehicles same result. It's not recognizing key take over or 12v to black wire in 20pin connector to shut down. I read in a post, Derek mentioned wiring in a relay from the brakes that would send ground signal to the hood pin wire. Sounds like it will work. Will it have any adverse effect while driving, sending ground signal to the hood pin while driving if the key is not being recognized as being switched on?

After remote starting my vehicle, when I enter the vehicle, it will shut off as soon as I step on the brake. I hit the unlock first then enter but unable to put it in gear without the vehicle shutting off. Altima does have push start. Please help

Installed the EVO-VWT3 kit in a 2012 Beetle Turbo PZEV standard key. Everything is working up until the vehicle attempts to start. The cluster is displaying that the brake pedal needs to be depressed. I cannot find any information for this specific issue. Using the guide for the PTS beetle, I installed a jump wire between the yellow/red wire to the black/red wire on the BCM connector. This allows the brake lights to come on, but now they stay on the entire time.

No remote start after install, no parking lights, brake lights light up.

I have all wires connected. Do i need to connect any of the red plugs? No other options installed. I get no parking lights or car does not start when remote is pressed 3x. The horn beeps and the brake lights light up. Car will start when im inside and press brakes but no remote start.

i have the evo all installed with the GM1 t-harness, and i use my factory chevrolet flip key (aveo 2012 euro/sonic)

the car starts at the 5th time pressing the lock button, not the 3th time, and if i try the option lock-unlock-lock then it don`t work..

if i remote start the car then de oem flip key is disabled and get no response from the car, i can unlock the car with the key, and if i push the unlock button in the car and press the brake it turns off and starts normally (automatic)

Key takeover works but sometimes its delayed. Like 10 minutes. While driving it will take over. Same with brake stop, sometimes works sometimes doesn't. Connection to brake wire seems fine, any known configuration or firmware issues that can cause this?

I installed a compustar cm920 with a Evo all using datalink cable on a 2019 kia Sorrento key start vehicle and it will work fine but randomly not start using remote start and I get an error code from the parking lights saying foot brake on. This is strange because it's all thru data and it will only happen once every 10 times or so. I have a options A1-A11, C1, F2 on.

The vehicle does NOT have an immobilizer. Programmed using just the blue light for CAN and programming went fine.

Not sure what would cause this.

2013 Audi q5 with Keyport and no push to start Evo all module with t harness. Works flawlessly otherwise latest firmware is 60.08 but install guide says 60.02. I assume it's just a matter of pulling the module back out and selecting an option I just don't know which one.

Installed evo-all on 2014 Chevrolet Tahoe with t-harness and without data link. Firmware version 70.24. After remote starting vehicle then unlocking doors, entering the vehicle and closing doors the engine immediately stops running after brake pedal is pressed or key is inserted into ignition.

Recently installed EVO All with TB-VW. Successful programming. Car says "Apply foot brake" (possibly a brake wire issue on my end), but after successful start after applying footbrake the car then shuts off.

Hi I installed an evo all fort4 in a 2008 ford escape. Everything went well it starts the car with lock unlock lock. But the vehicle will stay running even after the foot brake is pressed. I noticed the brake wire is only an output on the evo all, so hooking this up to the foot brake didnt seem to work. The only way to shut the vehicle off is either wait for the timer to expire or push lock unlock lock again. Is there anyway to make the evo all recognize the foot brake? I was contamplating putting a relay from the positve brake wire to ground the hood pin control, but I would much prefer it to recognize over CAN bus if I can. Thanks!!

No foot brake confirmation from EVO ONE or RF antenna when performing step 4 programming RF642W on Hyundai Elantra 2009. Tested foot brake output at 0.02 volts and tapped in to positive foot brake per instructions. Im thinking voltage from car is too low and EVO won't register activated foot brake and this is preventing me from completing programming step 4.

I have a 2018 Jeep Wrangler. I installed the EVO-CHRT6 Stand Alone, vehicle remote starts and everything works fine with the doors on. Remote start the vehicle, unlock vehicle, open door, get in, close door, hit brake, lights blink twice, vehicle is not using Fortin anymore. As a wrangler owner, we take the doors off. When I remote start the vehicle with doors off I follow a similar process. Remote start vehicle, unlock vehicle, get in, hit brake, vehicle shuts off and lights blink twice, which then I'll have to use the push button to start vehicle back up. How can I fix this? The remote start needs to recognize the doors opening and closing rather than just the unlock being pressed.

1: Everything works fine, but I think I found a glitch. If I remote start my 2016 Juke and leave the key inside after unlocking the doors, pressing the brake flashes the parking lights like it should but it still leaves the car running... WITHOUT THE KEY IN THE VEHICLE!!!

2: If I then try to shut it off by going back in the house and lock-lock-lock it does nothing as it has been placed in 'take over mode' or whatever it's called. I have to physically push the start/stop button to shut it off. THEN it starts back up because I recently pressed lock-lock-lock.

First issue scares me the most.

When the remote start system is active (engine running), if I enter the vehicle and step on the brake pedal, the engine stops (as it should) then the doors lock. Why do the doors lock?

Fortin - EVO-NIST1 T harness. Installed and programmed no problem.

Remote start only works when someone presses on the brake pedal (Otherwise it just turn on the radio, gauges for a few seconds then off) I tried using both the RL-1 and RL-2 harness neither works.

At no point will my unit activate the brake lights.

I had the remote start working before putting the vehicle back together. Put it back together and it stopped working. Re programmed the tach data. It worked. Put the vehicle back together again. Another failure. I took everything back apart. Checked all my wiring again. Nothing grounded out. Try to restart with the EVO all and while holding the program button and plugging in the black four pin connector in, the red led stays solid. I can hit the red program button and it allows me to start reprogramming the options but it doesn’t sense the brake pedal eitherbcor me to confirm the options.

After truck remote starts. Then when the key is in the on position and the brake is pressed the starter engages.

Evo-one is programmed with the latest firmware recommend for a 2015 Toyota Tundra. Triple checked all the wiring. Tryed sevral different remote start and bypass firmware programs. Unit was in my Durango and reprogrammed for my Tundra.

I did an install on my Hyundai 2015 Sonata PTS with the Compustar CM7200 brain. Everything is functional but the issue that I am having is that upon entering the vehicle after a remote start if I press the brake the car stops a few seconds later as opposed to immediately. This is a big problem as sometimes I forget to press the PTS button twice after entering the vehicle and I press the brake to put it in gear and the car shuts off while the transmission is shifting gears into reverse. This causes the car to leap as if it stalled in gear and I can be certain this is not good for the transmission at all. I've usually done installs with iDatalink and it shut off immediately as soon as I put the foot on the brake pedal before I even have the chance to switch the gear. This is my first time using the Fortin with brake input using CANBUS.

I am using an EVO-ALL with TB-VW, FW 75.34 in standalone remote start mode. The car is a 2011 VW GTI with DSG automatic transmission and key ignition. (not PTS) Programming successful using guide 61381 dated 20161222 but car will not remote start unless I depress the brakes. The guide does not mention any specific signals related to foot brakes. What am I missing?

Wirecolor mentions the foot brake wire and a note about the black wire on the EVO-ALL 20 pin connector. This black wire according to guide 61381 is an output from the EVO-ALL and connected to (+)ignition. The black wire is connected as per the guide.

The EVO-ALL should have options C1,D1 and D2. I can see it unlock the car before trying to start. Below is a video showing the LEDs during start:

Installed on a 2013 CRV with the t harness. Remote start functions, however once entering vehicle, inserting key and rotating to position 2/ Run, when I hit the brake pedal and the remote start shuts down, it briefly powers the starter and I can hear the starter contact the flywheel briefly before it shuts off and disengages. I have the start attempts set to 1 and it made no change. What other setting could cause this or is the unit defective?

I have atempted to figure out how to hook up the brake kill if needed to shut down the remote start. Have the Evo-All with the T harness. i have attempted to ground the dk blue wire to see if tha will inhibit the remote start from starting. With the dk blue wire grounded right to the battery it will still start. I was going to use this wire for my brake kill, but cannot seem to get that to work. What wire do I need to hook up for a bake kill and where. Thank you all in advanced!

2012 Escape Limited model, installed the EVO-ALL with the T-Harness. Parking light connection made to the purple/white wire in the door sill area per the recommendatiopn in the manual via a relay. When remote starting, the vehicle starts, then shuts down a couple seconds later and flashes the red LED twice to indicate brake on. With this connection broken, remote start works as intended.

Evo-All, CHR5 T-Harness, Crimestopper RS7-G5, 2007 Jeep Patriot Limited (4x4) 2.4L w/ automatic transmission.

Remote start works, as does lock/unlock, from ALL REMOTES (2 factory key/remotes and Crimestoper remotes). The brake kill without the key in and turned is not working. I literally drove the vehicle around the block with NO keys even I the vehicle.

Also, key take-over not working. If remote started, and key put in and turned to run, 2-way remote still chirping and showing that the run time timer is still going.

I will be installing the Advanced Keys Push to Start module in my 2008 GMC Sierra truck, and was reviewing different bypass/combo solutions to use with it.

It looks like the EVO-ALL does the brake status by monitoring the CAN bus. Will the brake status work with truck off and no previous activity (i.e. no recent door unlock)? I need it to work because you must press the brake in order to push to start. However, the Advanced Keys people claim that a firmware update to the EVO-ALL stopped this from working while off:

INT-BMW2 - Need a breakdown on how the brake wires function during remote start sequence.

I'm trying to solve the no start issue on a 2006 525xi using an EVO-ALL & INT-BMW2.

After checking my wiring several times, I feel I need to understand how the brake circuit on the INT-BMW2 module works before I can further troubleshoot.

In the image below, I highlighted the stock function of the factory brake wires.

A) What I need to know is a breakdown of what each of the 4 brake wires from the INT-BMW2 module are doing during the remote start sequence.

So something like this:

Ingnition on: Brake X & Brake Y @ 12V.

Starter on (accessory off): Brake Y @ 12V, Brake Z @ 0V.

Engine running: Brake X & Brake Y....

B) Also, can I get the actual pin numbers & their corresponding colors for the 14-pin connector on the INT-BMW2? Just want to confirm all the wire colours are in their appropriate pin location.

EVO-ONE with T-Harness installation

For the tachometer setting when I select Tach Data-Link only (20.6) or Tachless on crank and supervision by Tach Data-Link (20.1), the car shuts off after 2-3 seconds after the engine starts. However, when I set Tachless only (20.2) the engine stays on. Is it okay with selecting Tachless only setting? I thought it's better for evo to continue monitoring the tachometer.

With the Tachless only setting, I started the car with OEM remote X3 Lock feature. When I pressed UNLOCK (with the original key for programming the module) to get in the car it wouldn't open the door. I already made some connections with Yello/green(D1) and yellow/red(D3) to make my oem remote to be operable when engine is running. Is there anything i can do to diagnose this? I did the continuity test on the wires and it was fine.

When I set down on the car and stepped on the brake pedal, it didn't shut off the engine although I enabled the feature through the flash link. Do I need to wire something extra? I know where is the foot-brake line in the car, I just don't know where I can connect it to on EVO-One.

And when i tried to start the car with my key, it wouldn't start the engine. Now i can only start the car with my remote.

Any solutions?

I have a 2008 Infiniti EX35 PTS with the EVO-NIST1 and T-harness installed for a standalone remote start system. I used the most current firmware, turned on D1 and C1 options, and the module was successfully programmed. The vehicle will not start with the 3x lock signal, it will only go to on and then acc modes. In troubleshooting, I pressed the brake pedal and then tried the 3x lock which started the car. Further, I tried switching the RL1 to RL2 connector, but this did not work. Next I put a voltmeter on the white/red wire on the brake connector harness, during the startup sequence the voltage seemed to be constant but only 11 volts and occationally dropped to 0 during the sequence. I re-installed the firmware and reprogrammed the EVO again to make sure there wasn't any issues, but it still work work. Do I have a bad EVO, harness, or something else?

EVO-ONE w/ CHR5 THAR on a 2014 Jeep Wrangler Standard Transmission. Remote starter and ready mode functions all work great, however the EVO-ONE "clicks" 3 times and park lights flash right after the brake pedal is depressed while the engine is running and the parking brake is off/disengaged. (This does not occur when the parking brake is up or engaged). What what should we do to so that this doesn't happen. The customer is annoyed that it does this while driving.
