Thinking out loud about this 2008 Focus install

I saw a couple of other manufacturers have a T-Harness that works with the 2008 Focus, but not Fortin's. I also noticed that the FORT1 is compatible with the 2008 Taurus. So I pulled up the install sheets:

https://fortin.ca/download/107381/EVO-ONE_IG_REG_BI_FOR-FOCUS_2008-2009_A_107381.pdf
https://fortin.ca/download/95201/EVO-ALL_IG_RTS_BI_FOR-TAURUS-2008-2010_KEY40bits_A_95201.pdf

The ignition connectors appear to be the same form factor and the same pinouts, but different wire colors. Just wondering if someone could perhaps review this and see if this would change the install options at all? Like using the THAR-FOR1 with the EVO-ONE? Or possibly being able to use the EVO-FORT1 or FORT4?

I do see that the Focus install has a Disarm wire connection that is not present on the others. The other guide for reference is here

Appreciate it!

Missing wire color/location and diode install

Good day. 2013 Explorer. Install instructions show brown/wht wire from module to parking light relay negative but does not identify wire location on vehicle or wire color for vehicle wiring. Also, for the lock circuit (white/black) shows a 1A diode. Is that built into the module or is this something I must add? (A19). Finally - on the OBDII connector for can low and can high - the wire colors are NOT the same as the diagram or schematic. I did confirm the postions identified in the instructions are correct with respect to can low and can high. Just want to make sure there is no issue with tis discrepancy. Many thanks for your assistance. Mike Grima mjg104@att.net

D2D or W2W Fortin EVO All with FORT1 T-Harness and AVITAL 4105L for 2011 F-150

Hi,

I purchased the THAR-FORT1 Kit which comes with the EVO ALL and FORT1 T-Harness. I also purchased the FlashLink updater and will set the EVO ALL to D2D.

I would like to pair all of this with an Avital 4015L remote starter for my 2011 F-150 (I do not want to use the factory remote start protocol as my truck doesn't have power locks).

I would like to only use the D2D cable to connect to the Avital 4015L in order to cut down on wire clutter. I would like to know if the D2D cable is the only cable I need to connect between the these two.

I was looking at the wiring diagram for the EVO ALL with the FORT1 T-Harness and on the left side of the remote starter every cable is optional if D2D is used but on the right side there is parking lights which I don't care for so I wont be hooking up and Ignition. Doesn't the ignition communicate through D2D?

https://fortin.ca/download/94881/EVO-ALL_IG_RTA_BI_FOR-FSERIES-2011-2016_KEY80bits_D_94881.pdf

Wanted to know if I am on the right track here before I start the install.

Thanks!

i have installed an EVO-FORT1 EVO RS system in a 2010 ford edge and wont start.

i installed an EVO-FORT1 EVO RS system into a 2010 ford edge. i used the valet mode switch instead of the hood pin kit, and i did not connect the lights or door lock/unlock wires. i programmed the keys to the module and it cycled the ignition on and off, but when i press the lock button 3x the car does not start. did i miss something during the install? i am hoping i do not have to flash this module for factory key fob activation. also, i am not positive that i am using the proper install guide because there seems to be a few of them.

Evo-all 2009 ford escape - no blue-light after sitting for ~ 5 minutes - no start

Hello,

Installation and programming went great. Verified firmware with the website info. Using Thar-For1 and flashlink manager for the install. Escape worked several times in a row with the remote start, but as soon as its left off to sit for a few minutes, the remote start doesn't work anymore. No blue light when the lock button is pressed.

Unplugging the 4-PIN Data-link harness and plugging it back in allows the remote start to work, but after a few minutes off it stops responding again.

Hello, I have a 2013 Focus Standard Key. I am using a EVO RS FORT 1 system with flashlink 4. The car will act like it is about to start, will say no key detected. I have looked in the installation guide and we do all insturctions, then when we plug it into the flashlink manager to clone the key through the dcryptor process, it will say no key info. How do I get the module to have 'key info'? Any info helps. Thanks

I installed a EVO-FORT1 with the T harness into my 2011 Mariner, and everything went smoothly, including programming. After a couple of starts, I intermittently have been getting no starts, where you can see the blue LED flashes from the Canbus seeing the remote, the red LED turns on, all the accessories turn on, but the engine doesn't start. Sometimes, but not always, I get the key ignition chime after driving, but only if the T harness connected to the EVO module

2010 Ford Escape Hybrid Door Pin Wire Location

I FINALLY found the 26 pin plug where the Green/Violet Driver Door Pin wire is located. It's in the driver kick panel. But it is all but impossible to get to. Really really really difficult as it is buried behind steel braces that cannot be removed. There is certainly not enough slack to get fingers in there to cut the wire and then attach the 2 separate wires needed. How do I accomplish this?

I have installed the EVO-FORT1 in a 2015 Ford Focus. Now after the car is shut off either with the remote or key the 5 amp ignition fuse will blow. I have secured all the unsed wire ends and tied everything up. The only things that needed to be connected was the T- harness and the two datalink wires. Is it possible to have a bad interface module or do I need to wire in a relay to the module?
I dont have the servce number because the module is installed under the dash.

FORTIN FTX-64-2W REMOTES FLASHES RED

I have a simple question. I have a 2015 Toyota Rav4 with a Fortin EVO remote start which works fine. I'm just wondering when pressing the remote start button on the remote it's supposed to light up green when it communicates with the remote start showing that it was a successful start. Well the car starts with no problem, but the remote flashes red as if it didn't start. Why doesn't it ever flash green if the car starts successfully? Should I be concerned?

Thanks.
EVO-FORT1 isn't programming keys.

Installed the EVO-ALL with FORT1 t-harness (standalone unit with no RF or datalink) in a 2010 Ford Focus. Firmware was updated to 71.47. Used Guide 71341. Tried programming two keys, but at step 8, I press and release the programming button and the red light stays solid and the car doesn't start. When I put the first key in at step 4, the red light is still on but the yellow light comes on and then goes off. Step 6, I put the second key in and it's just the red light still on.

Is pin A13 (yellow/black) required to be connected to a start/stop external control or is this optional?

OMEVOALL with THAR-FORD1 harness. EMEVOFORT preloaded. Hardware date 12/2017.

Module is not programming correctly.

Blue and red lights come on.

First key goes in. Blue, red lights on.

First key out. Blue and red

Second key in. Blue, red, yellow lights on.

When second key comes out, the ignition thinks the key is still in and on the "on" positon (blower and dash lights are one even after key out). Dash says, "Factory Keypad 11359." However, the car doesn't have a keyless entry key pad. All electronics are stock. No aftermarket options. When the second key comes out, the, back to just blue and red lights.

First key goes back in. Lights flash ten times. Then blue light. Then none. Key comes out. ingition behavior back to normal. Remotes work normally. No lights on EVO. No remote start functionality when pressing lock 3x.

2010 Ford Edge module programs but then will not start

I have checked the wires multiple times and I am pretty sure they are correct. It programs the module but then will not start. Sometimes it will turn ignition on but then shuts off immediately. It did start once but then shut off immediately. When car is off it continuously cycles the ignition on and off, draining the battery.

Was sent flash updater to update firmware but this did not fix problem. Prior to update it actually started the car but still had cycling ignition problem. Now it won't start at all. It also says to turn A5 off in the options. I did both turned off and left on but neither changed anything. Need help. Tried everything. Thank you.

White/Black(A19) connect to Blue/Green on the BCM

Evo ALL with Ford THarness 2012 Ford Fusion

I have hooked up all connections except for driver door pin because I can't seem to find the correct wire. When I hold the program button and plug in the black 4 pin connector to start programming, nothing happens. No lights come on or anything. When I plug it back in to the Flashlink it comes on and shows the info. Am I missing something? I have my only vehicle dissasembled and really need to get this done. PLEASE HELP

Update: I checked the red and black wires on the black 4 pin plug and there is 12.5 volts at the connection. Is this a bad unit?

Update part 2: I flashed with an older version of firmware and then reflashed back to current/recommended firmware and it finally cooperated! Up and running. I do have one final question though, I did not hook up the left door pin wires because I couldn't find the correct one to use. What functions will I not have because of this? I have noticed that the car will only turn off if I press the brake. Any ideas?? Sory for the long post, just trying to do it right. Thanks!

Hi I am currently flashing my EVO-ALL for my 2012 Ford Fusion SEL (for stand alone remote start) and it says to disable A5 to prevent ignition from turning on when doors are unlocked. Should I also disable A6? My car will roll down the front windows and open the moon roof when you press and hold the unlock button on the factory remote. Will disabling A5 and/or A6 also disable that capability? Just trying to keep from having to uninstall and reprogram the unit if I set it incorrectly.
