EVO ONE Ready Mode Design Flaw

I recently had the Fortin Evo One installed on my 2020 Civic Si. Not only is it very finicky on the amount of times lock is required to be pressed to start (sometimes 3, sometimes 4 with no pattern), I have noticed a problem with ready mode I have seen no one talk about. To enable ready mode you must press the brake, engage parking brake, then release the parking brake. The problem with this is you're unable to use your parking brake without enabling ready mode. I was giving a friend a ride and when I had dropped them off I enabled my parking brake so they could grab their things out of the back. Well ready mode had activated and once they exited, as I was driving off the car had shut off while I was driving!!! If anyone has a fix to this please let me know ASAP

How to program replacement RM442 fob to BF3400/2400 evo all

I bought a replacement RM442 key fob for my BF3400/2400 evo all bypass module, evo-all vr.2.4.18. Service No: 002B03 009304.

I am having trouble finding a guide on how to start the programming process of the new fob. I've tried turning it on, then off, then on, but when I do that the led on the antenna goes out. I've seen many videos but cant tell which is the right guide. Any help would be appreciated.

2018 Civic Si No ready mode (RF 442)

Just installed an evo one and Rf-442 kit on my 2018 PTS civic. Used the Hon7 harness, so I had to do the interruption at the steering lock and tap into the clutch wire. Also ran the dcrytor process when the guide prompted. Also worth noting that the yellow light is lit when the ignition is on. Whenever I try to remote start the car with either remote, the parking lights blink 3 times indicating that the car isn't in ready mode. When I programmed the module using wizard mode, I made sure to select the middle sequence (car in neutral, foot on brake, park brake...etc), but when I leave the car, it continues running and says that the key fob is not detected on the dash. Made sure that valet mode was disabled via the rf antenna. All of the other functions of the rf remote seem functional minus the remote start.

Im guessing this is a programming error, any help would be appreciated

Civic 16' (Manual) w/FTX64 2W - Ready mode no longer saving my dashboard preferences

Hi,

I Have a Honda Civic 2016 (Manual). I bought an aftermarket remote starter in 2019. The controller is an FTX64 2W.

I used it without issues up until this winter. I would stop the car, leav it in neutral put the park brake on, and then press the ON button on the controller to start the Ready Mode. With the exception of the rear-window defroster which never worked, any preferences that I had on my dashboard would turn on when I activated the remote start later on (seat heaters, front window defroster, temperature, etc).

This winter I noticed that when I get out of the car after activating my ready mode (after about 3-5s) the remote emits a red light and makes the descending noise (same on as if I remote stopped the car). When I then remote start the car, it will turn on, but none of the preferences on my dashboard will be on (cold seats, no defroster, no temperature, etc).

The only thing that has changed is that one of the remotes (I have two) is dead. I will be replacing the batteries this week and trying that one out too.

Anyone know what could be causing this? As I said, it worked well up until this winter and then stopped out of nowhere.

I got the EVO-ALL-441 kit for a 2003 Honda Civic. I was thinking it was all I needed but I am thinking I need a remote start module as well. Is there a recommended one? It looks like there should be a Fortin module available but I can't find it. There does not appear to be a wiring diagram for an EVO-ONE for that car either.

Is the EVO-ALL all I need? Is it a low voltage start? I've done several of these now and Audi and VW's and had no issues. This simpler honda is confusing me a bit.

I am trying to setup key bypass programming on 2012 Honda Civic using EVO-One using T-harness.

I am only able to go up to step 4 where the red-light is flashing once and pause. but when I goto step 5 and turn the ignition on all the lights go off. I tried reflshing the unit and still same issue.

Evo One remote start T harness 2019 Honda civic standard key not working

I followed the guide and I have the parking light and horn connected. I also have the fuse connected to the odb contact +.

After doing the sequence and yellow and red alternate flashing, I disconnected the unit to use the decryptor and transferred the data. Everything seems ok and once I connected everything back, there is no blue light or any light on the Evo. I lock the car and after some seconds tried 3x lock, nothing happens, the Evo doesn't show any light at a!!. No remote start.

When I turn the ignition on, the yellow light on the Evo is on (no flashing). Nothing else happens.   Is there any other step needed that I am missing?   Evo id: 002B04 107292   By the way, the firmware installed is the latest available

Evo one on 2020 Civic cranks but does not start

I added an Evo one to a 2020 Civic push button, using Thor07 harness. Programmes with 73.31, unable to get 73.33. The car starts normally after the install. 3 x lock, the engine turns over but does not start. It then stops and cranks again but does not start. Any thoughts?

As part of the regular installation (without Harness), you have to cut 3 wires (cut1 and cut 2 on BCM 3 and cut 3 on steering lock module)

After making all the wiring connections, the next step (before programming) is to make sure the car starts normally.

If you have made wire cuts (and made the connections as per the instruction on page 3), will the car start without connecting the EVO One?

Do I need to connect the EVO One module to ensure the car starts before programming?

Evo One with HON7 Harness

I noticed the pinout on the HON7 connector D does not match the documentation

The pinout on my harness is as follows:

D1: YLW/GRN

D2: Blank

D3: YLW/BLU

D4: WHT/GRN

D5: YLW/RED

D6: WHT/RED

Is this correct? I can only get the vehicle to attempt to crank but does not successfully start. I tried repinning connector D to match the HON7 documentation, this results in the car not starting at all during normal operation.

There are only two methods listed in the flashlink manager HON6 and wire to wire .. HON7 is not listed and can't flash my module. Does anyone have the same issue's if so what did you do? Am I missing something.. Thanks in advance

2019 Civic PTS Security Bypass Not Working and Incorrect clutch bypass

Issue 1: The remote starting fails to successfully start the vehicle.

During cranking the dash security indicator continously flashes, this indicator is normally only flashing when the vehicle has been locked. The dash security indicator begins to flash after the vehicle is shut down by the remote starter (from Ready Mode) and continues to flash until the vehicle is unlocked with the remote.

Parking light flashes four times after each failed cranking attempt.

Ready mode is operating as indicated, pressing brake while engaging the parking brake, then lifting off. One parking light flash is indicated, the Red and Ylw leds on the EVO are on, and the motor continues to run until the driver door is open then closed. Once the vehicle is shut down the dash security indicator begins flashing.

Blue Led flashes with each Lock Key signal from the OEM fob. After three lock signals the Red and Ylw LEDs on the evo turn on and the start sequence begins. The dash indicators come on and the dash security indicator led remains flashing. The starter is being actuated and the engine is cranking but the car does not successfully start.

Issue 2: Opening Red Wire on 4P clutch conenctor causing VSA and parking brake errors

In addition to the HON7 t-harness, Cut3, tap on Ylw line of Clutch Position sensor, and open of Red line on Clutch Stroke sensor (type R only) has been performed.

Without the opening of the Red line on the Clutch Stroke sensor the car will not activate the starter motor during remote starting unless I manually press the clutch pedal. Once the Red line is opened as instructed, the remote start does actuate the starter motor, but now during normal operation there are now CONSTANT VSA and PARKING BRAKE ERRORS indicators on the dash. The vehicle does run and drive but with errors.

I posted this link in my earlier question, but it appears that opening the Red line causes the VSA system to malfunction and putting a relay on the Ylw line of the Clutch Stroke sensor maybe an alternate method? I am not sure how to do this with the EVO configuration.

All reccomended options were loaded for both Bypass and Remote Start, only the Ready Mode Option was modified from 33.1 to 33.2.

2008 Civic will crank,but wont start

My 2008 Honda Civic will just crank,but wont start. The key chip warning light comes on during cranking. i tried doing it with the key in the ignition and still wont start. The car will start and run fine when started with just the key. It seems to have something to do with the chipped key. Any help with this?

2 Weeks ago I had a Evo-One installed with the HON7 Takeover Harness in my 2018 Civic Si Manual Trans (Push to Start). Ever since then I have been getting a "Keyless Start System Problem" on my dash whenever using the Remote start and sometimes even when not.

Is this usual?

Also it seems like the OEM "Walk away" feature no longer works I have to manually lock the car when walking away.

2017 CIVIC - TAKE OVER NOT WORKING EVO-ONE (BRAKE PEDAL KILLS ENGINE)

Hello,

I recently upgraded my compustar CM7000 + Evo-All setup for an EVO-ONE since the take over only works with an Evo-One. Old wiring was 100 stripped and redone according to the Evo-One guide. Everything seems to work fine except for one thing : the take-over procedure. At first, as soon as the driver door was opened, the engine would shut off. I was advised that the take-over only works on the 4.11 firmware. After downgrading to the 4.11 firmware and re-programming the module (and re-decrypting with decryptor), the engine keeps running when the driver side door is open (which is a good thing), but when pressing on the brake pedal, the engine shuts down almost every time. Only twice in about 20 remote starts did it not shut down and the take over succeded I followed the take over procedure that is described in the guide (at the end of the guide), but it fails almost every time. Here is step by step what I do :

1. Stay 10 feet away from the car and lock it

2. Send the remote start command. (Which always succeeds)

3. Walk toward the car, unlock it with the OEM remote (also tried remote starter remote and button on door handle), enter the car (with the OEM keyfob/remote on me) and close the door and make sure to never touch the brake pedal while doing so.

4. Press on the PTS button once. (At this point, the headunit (radio) powers on, the steering wheel lock disengages, etc)

5. I press on the brake pedal and as soon as I do so, the engine shuts down.



Only as soon as the brake pedal is pressed does the engine die. I made sure all options in the module reflecting this behavior were disabled. I also tried pushing the PTS button more than once, but to no avail. All subsequent presses on the button do nothing at all. What am I missing? I am hoping to make this work as the take over is the only reason why I purchased the Evo-One. Any help is most welcome! All the wiring was checked twice with a multimeter and it is wired as expected.

2017 Civic PTS, doors no longer locks automatically when getting out of the car

The doors no longer lock automatically when I get out of the car. I used to turn off the car with the PTS button, get out of the car and the doors lock after few seconds, but since I updated the firmware of the evo-one (and the wirings), they no longer lock automatically. I mean, I wait an hour after getting out of the car and the car are still unlock. When I remote start the car, the doors relock automatically. The problem is only when I get out of the car. As I said, with the previous firmware, I have no problem. Can it be an option in the firmware? I recheck the wiring 3 times, but can it be a bad soldering? Thanks!

The option is still enabled in the car's settings, but the doors no longer lock automatically when the driver get out of the car, even if the driver does not activate the ready mode

It doesn't work since the EVO-ONE firmware/wiring has been updated for the key takeover

I programmed the module and hooked it up, Car remoted started fine. The 2nd time I tried to remote start after setting ready mode the car cranked but did not start (lights flash 4 times). After 10 seconds it attempted again and started. This has been going on for a week. sometimes it starts, sometimes on the 2nd attempt, sometimes not at all . Once, I couldnt shut the car off and had to disconnect the module in my work parking lot . I have reset and reprogrammed the module, Verified all T harness conections are tight and no bent pins and it does the same thing. I have emailed Tech support with no answer .

Civic 2017 - Heated Seats + Rear defrost

Does an EVO-ONE install on a 2017 Civic allow to activate the heated seats AND the rear defrost below a certain temperature or is it only one or the other? Do I have to hook-up the AUX wire for this to work? As far as I know there is only one AUX output/wire (yellow/black) on the EVO-ONE. If so, how do I tap into the heated seats wire as well as the rear defrost wire at one? Is it safe to do so? Thank you

1- I just saw that the takeover is now supported on 2017 Civic PTS with an EVO-ONE. Before modifying the wiring and updating the EVO-ONE firmware, I would like to make sure it really works as expected... Anybody tested it?

2- When I installed the EVO-ONE, I followed the guide #57791 (rev 20170425). What you happen if I update the EVO-ONE firmware as stated in the latest guide (#80011 rev 20180913) WITHOUT modifying the current wiring?

2017 Civic PTS Keyless Key Error After Remote Start

Everything works fine, just once i remote start the unit and goto open the car when it kills the car the car turns the ignition on by itself and once i start it to leave it says remote fob key detection error

I had this remote start working fine but after a while realized that I could not remote shut off the car. In an attempt to problem solve I reflashed the evo one. After doing this I can no longer restart my car

What I did.

1 Reflashed with the EXACT same working firmware. that's 73.27 and 1.21

2. I then tried to remote start and it did not work. It is not in valet mode which I believe is the red light.

3. Tried doing the full setup thing again (turn key half way, press button etc etc) and lights flashed and did what they were supposed to. Then I connected it to the computer and the dycryptor tab is not there so there is no way to continue.

4. When I flashed it and tried again it said I had reached the max amount of flashes. So I am stuck. Not only did I not solve the remote shutdown problem but now I cannot start the car remotely

5. Lastly, When I do try to remote start the blue light comes on and off with each button press (lock unlock). not sure if that means anything and can't remember if it was doing that before.

Any thoughts on what to do. I am completely stumped. And not being able to flash anymore means I can't try any other firmwares.

Evo-All Lock/Unlock Function

Hello,

I installed a Compustar CS6502-AS with Fortin Evo-All bypass module. Everything seems to be working fine, but i noticed a couple of strange behaviours with the door lock/unlock.

1. Whenver I press the lock button on the Compustar remote, the doors lock, then after about a second unlock and then lock again within about half a second. I am not sure if that is normal but it does not seem like it as the OEM remotes do not seem to do that.

2. Ever since I enabled Option C1 for the OEM Remote Status (Lock/Unlock) monitoring is that whenever the key is put into accessory postion all of the door unlock. Very strage. I've confirmed the two lock/unlock wires are correctly connected.

Any help or insight would be greatly appreciated.

I have some issues/questions about using the Evo-Start with the Evo-One on a Civic 2017 Si (PTS, manual):

1- When using the Evo-Start, the car starts as expected (the engine starts and the radio is off). Then if I remote stop then remote start again, the vehicle starts, but the radio is not turned on. Then if I open the door to get in the vehicle, the engine stops as expected, but it looks like if the key stayed on the "ON" position (the instrument cluster, the radio and the fan are all turned on). I suppose the behavior should be the same everytime it is remote started, regardless of whether it has been remotely stopped or not?

2- Once the vehicle is remotely started, if the evo-start does not turn the heated seats on, I can turn them on via the Evo-Start (AUX1 set to Heated Seat), but if I set AUX1 to Defrost instead, the rear defrost does not seem to turn on. Can I set up the Evo-One to activate the rear defrost on demand?

3- When I remote start the car, the air setting seems to stay on the last position it was when I left the car, e.g. if I set it to automatic when I was in the car, the Evo-One does not set it on the windshield when remote start). Is there a way to make the Evo-One to set the fan to max speed, on the windshield and to max temperature on winter? I would like to make sure the windhield is defrosted when I need it (when I remote start the vehicle in winter).

I have à Prostart starter with a Key-Overide-All and my car is an Honda Civic 2007.

All my wires and connections are ok.

The key is program with the page18 of the manual, where you disconnect and connect the pins and press the button x time so the lights goes on and off and everything is ok.

When I press on my Prostart remote the motor is cranking but doesn’t start.

Is there something special I have to do to pair the Prostart with the Fortin?

2012 Honda civic valet switch not working.

I installed Evo-One on honda civic 2012 with t-harness. Programming seems to have gone fine install seemed easy enough. Then I go to test the 3XLock to start and nothing happens, after checking settings and making sure harness wasn't damaged I decided to reset the unit and try again. When I turn on the car the valet switch does not enter unit into programming mode. I tried holding it for 10 seconds, I tried pushing it three times and nothing works. What could be wrong that would stop the Valet switch and remote start from working?

Had the unit programmed, fully functional. Unplugged to change a feature, and now will not program. It will enter the correct mode, however when I attempt to turn the ignition on to learn the vehicle, no lights come on. I have reflashed the firmware 73.28, and still nothing. Any ideas?

2016 civic with regular key start.

I am using the T-Harnass. Things to note. I did not hook up parking lights, horn or add the Hoodpin (since a civic person who did this said he didnt and it was fine). I also have not connected that brown wire since its not in the isntructions so I assume its not required. yellow wire was cut because this is an automatic transmission.

I have flashed the EVO one to 73.26 (recommended for my civic). I flashed to this one because the latest firmware could not get the setup right in the car. It would not do the required light flashing order in step 4. So by downgrading to 73.26 it was able to work.

I have set D2 and C1 to ON and I have turned on Fuction 38-2.

Pressing lock 3x doesnt do anything except lock the car and engage the alarm (makes one beep as usual). I am not sure what else to do here. When I click lock the blue light flashes on the Evo-One. Yellow light works as usual when the ignition is on.

I added the TELE-connect Crimestopper and when i go to learn the telematics module to the evo one or vice versa, the installation guide is asking to place the key in the ON position to show the Yellow Led on EVO one. which it does. the next step is to hold the button down for 5 seconds till the red led on the evo one turns on. this part does not happen on the evo one while the key in ignition is in the ON position. i cant get pas that part of the learning process so i cant proceed. i did flash the evo one for configurations to fortin 2 as written on the tele-connect installation guide. i did it under Bypass toggle and remote start toggle. the firmware for remote start is updated to lates firmware and the bypass mode is at 73. 24 as directed by the instructions. ive tried trouble shooting but no luck. hopefully someone can help.

Looking at options for a remote start in the mentioned vehicle, looking at the install for the EVO-ONE it looks like it can do standalone even in the manual transmission? Is that correct or am I looking at it wrong? Also if it can't then does the T-Harness work with the EVO-ALL as well or just the EVO-ONE? Any recommendations for the most simple and basic system for this vehicle are appreciated.

I am trying to install an Evo-One into a 2007 Honda Civic. The Evo-One appears to program properly (10 red flashes followed by blue flashing.

The remote programming procedure appears to begin correctly.

Press Valet button with key in on position (Horn beeps and parking light comes on).

Press Valet Button 5 times (Horn & parking light beeps and flashes each time).

Press Brake once.

Press [-] button followed by Lock button (remote flashes blue then after that it flashes red once).

Turn key off.

Whenever I press any of the buttons the remote flashes blue, then after a pause flashes red once and beeps.

Does this mean that the programming failed? If so, do you have any ideas why it failed.

(Note: The 3XLock on the OEM remote does not work to initiate the remote starter either.)
