2013 Prius safety hood pin not working properly

Hood safety pin installed and checked and mechanically it works the way it supposed to, but in the Evo start app shows as light red doesn't matter if the car is locked or unlocked armed is disarmed the color of the hood in the app doesn't change, when I open the hood the app show the front passenger side as open, (in fact when I open any door the app only shows the front passenger side as open) due to this the car doesn't remote start, can locked and unlocked, armed and disarmed the car with no problems

We installed the supplied hood pin and is not functioning properly. Starts with hood open and does not kill when started and popping the hood. Not sending trigger to EvoAll. Programming seems to be correct. Everything else works just fine.

2020 Buick encore installation clarification

I have Purchased a Evo-GMT6 with THAR-GM6 harness for a 2020 Buick Encore push start and im looking for clarification.

1.On page 4(wiring diagram) of guide #77331, shows to make a connection between the light blue wire and light blue/black wire. Do these need to be spliced together? What is the reason for this?

2. Also, wondering what start/stop external control means?

3. Are the good hood pins/ valet switch required for the function of the module?

Where would I need to tap the pink/black wire from the Evo one for the hood pin switch on the interior? I believe it's on the body control module but I'm not sure which connector or wire. I would rather use the factory hood switch if possible rather than installing the aftermarket one and not have to run a wire through the firewall. Thanks

Dealer far far away installed the Fortin TX something.

Changed my battery recently and now the starter error reads hood-open. Lights flash 5 times.

I can't see anything that looks like a hood switch.

Where could it possibly be located, or is it possible there isn't one at all and the grounding wire came off?

Does the module need to be repogrammed?

Any details help

On my 2018 Mazda CX-9 the OEM hood switch connects to ground when the hood is closed and is an open circuit when the hood is open.

If I connect this (using the THAR-ONE-MAZ3 harness) to the Fortin EVO-ONE, I will only be able to remote start with the hood open, as the Fortin is expecting a ground with the hood open and an open circuit with the hood closed.

Is there a way to flash the Fortin EVO-ONE such that it will work with my stock hood switch?

I do not want to drill a hole and run a new wire for a second hood switch.

the Red LED light indicator blinks twice which means a hood switch problem. ive turned off that option, but it still gives two blinks. this is for a 2016 sonata se 2.4l key to start, no immoblizer.

I have installed a EVO ONE in to my vehicle and everything is working great. The only issue I have is that the hoodpin safety feature is not working. When I have the hood open the car will still remote start. I have double checked the grounding of the hood pin and made sure that the hoodpin is enabled in the software. Everything is up to date and has been re-flashed. Any ideas on what might be causeing this?

Just bought the EVO-ONE and HON-3 for my 2013 Honda Accord PTS manual. I realize I have to bypass the clutch. Could u tell me the color/location of the correct clutch wire and which wire to connect to off the unit? Also is there a factory hood pin I can connect to instead of installing one?

On the 20 pin connector A13 it says to connect to the start/stop external control. What wire and where is it located on my 2011 Ford escape. Also all questions about the hood pin and valet switch say to hook them up to prevent starting when the hood is open. I understand the saftey but does it have to be hooked up for the remote start to function?

Guide says that a hood switch and valet switch are necessary, is it really?

I am looking to Connect a Evo-All Stand Alone on a 2014 Jeep Patriot. I am following installation diagram C. When I bought this evo, it was preflashed and listed as only needing to connect the harnesses. I have not attempted any installation yet.

For the single wire connection coming off the 20 pin connector, I am looking for more infomation on the purpose of them to determine what is necessary and to allow me to locate the wires and troubleshoot any incorrect connections.

-For the 20 Pin Connector

i. Externial input (Start/Stop External control negative) - What is this and what would this connect to?

ii. Parking light out negative (this is the white/purple positive for 2014 jeep patriot) - Is this just to blink the break lights and would a relay be required to make this connection, if so is this connection necessary. If it is necessary would it connect to the red/purple wire (shown on wirecolor.com under parking lights)

iii. Hood pin/Valet switch (no valet switch for 2014 Jeep Patriot which is a hatchback) is this a necessary connection and if so, where would this connect to near stearing column (without running under hood to actual switch). The directions state that this is optional, dark blue (from 20 pin connector) with no polarity given. Wirecolor.com list this as negative black/pink (from the 20 pin connector), and has no location or pictures of the colors.

Yellow and Green/orange will be connected per instruction C.

Hello, I installed Evo-One on my vehicle yesterday. 2014 Toyota Tundra. I called support this morning because the remote start was not working. After the calling the support, he had me disabled the hood detect because was constantly flashing five times when I try to start the vehicle. I just tried again and set to detect hood and it would not start and flashs five times. I disabled it again and it works fine. Is this a bug with the firmware? I am running 79.20 and 1.15 on my Evo-One. Support checked that there is nothing connected to one of the wire for hood switch. I did not install the hood switch. Wondering...

This model does NOT come with the factory installed hood pin switch. I purchased the OEM pin switch and installed it. I am not sure if it will work though or if it needs some additional wiring. There is a wiring harness sitting at the hood release to open the hood that was meant to be plugged into the OEM hood switch. I connected it. Still unsure if that is all that needs to be done. Does anyone know if that will work? If not, I assume I will have to run a wire and install a regular hood pin switch. Another question is, on the immobilizer unit BLADE-AL, there is one wirte that says "without OEM hood status only" and a symbol for ground I think. Would I use this wire to run to the pin switch if the one I installed (the OEM) one does not work? What happens if I do nothing? Will the RS still operate and just not turn off if I open the hood or does this wire HAVE to be connected?

Evo All problems with 2014 Ford Escape - missing outputs

I have installed a python 1406 with an EVO ALL without the ford harness in a 2014 escape. I am using wire to wire connections and running firmware 4.18. The programming goes as expected as far as the leds on the fortin are concerned. Step by step, after programming the blue led portion, I am able to remote start the car and learn the tach signal. After programming the bypass, I am able to remote start without a key but the remote start shuts down due to no tach signal. At any given point, the car will unlock but not lock. I have verified that the negative lock signal is making to the fortin unit. I also do not have a hood pin signal coming from the fortin. I did not have a door pin signal either so i was forced to run a wire directly to the dome light, which I would prefer not to have. I have programmed the bypass with and without the dcryptor method with the same results. I have verified connections so I am thinking it is something in the evo-all unit itself.

Please help.
