Disable the horn when I unlock the car in the morning after remote starting it?

Every morning when I click unlock after remote starting (I guess anytime unlocking for that matter) the horn honks, and it's driving both myself and my neighbors crazy. Is there a way to disable this on unlock? 2020 Hyundai Elantra, do I need to reprogram this thing? If so I may just cut the wire, but hoping there may be a quick fix to it.

Low battery causing horn to go off on 2017 RAV4 hybrid?

Our 2017 RAV4 hybrid was parked for a few weeks causing the battery to run down as it has a tracker installed. All of a sudden one morning the horn faintly started to go off intermittently. There was no one around it. Is it possible that it was the Evo that’s installed in it was causing it to go off? Thinking that someone was messing with the battery? If so is it possible to disable this as it keeps going until the battery is basically completely dead. We have since charged the battery and are driving it every few days and there has been no issue since. Thanks

2016 CR-V Push-Start Thar-one-hon3 - what is horn/parking lights wires used for?

Got everything working without needing routing and taping into the factory harness for the horn and parking lights wires that are shown in the instructions. What are they actually used for ? It's for a remote start only with the factory key fob. I don't mind wiring them if needed in my case but would rather leave the factory harness intact if possible. Thanks

How do I enable the horn on my 2010 F150

I wired up everything the way the diagram (Guide #84011) depicts everything should be, but I get no audible chirp confirming the doors lock when using the two way remotes (RF442). When I lock with my old OEM fobs I get the chirp but not with the Fortin system. I also figure the alarm function of the EVO-ONE wont work if it isn't wired up to an audible device. I'm just unsure what wire from the EVO-ONE needs to go to the horn. The generic guide that came with the EVO-ONE (Guide #32991) states that the A7 Orange/Black wire goes to the Horn/Siren (-). If that's the case I still dont know which wire is the horn (-) on my steering column. WireColor states it should be the Blue/White wire on my steering column but that is also the color that I used for my Start (+) wire, so I have my doubts if this is correct because I dont think Ford would use the same color twice in the same area. I just dont want to tap into the wrong wire or spend a lot of time trouble shooting to find the right wire with a multimeter.

Also when programming the EVO-ONE, the only options I was able to tweak were alphebetical. I was not able to edit function 38 and select mode 2 the way the guide was telling me to do.

Lastly just out of curiosity I was wondering what all the E1-E8 options were for during programming. You can turn on/off each one but it doesn't give a description what each option does.

Single horn chirp and no start

2019 Ford Explorer Base model key start with EVO ALL standalone. With fort3 harness as well. Running 4.01 firmware, and seemed to be successful programming after I went in with forscan to activate remote start on the BCM and IPC. It goes through the motions after I hit lock/unlock/lock. Red LED comes on, then yellow, then blue flickers with a single horn honk/parking lights flash. It does this again, and then I get 3 red LED blinks, which I know means no tach/no start. Is there any other settings that need to be turned on in forscan? I have a toggle switch instead of door pin. I also tried disabling hood switch in forscan, and the same thing happens.

Promaster Horn

I have an EVO-One installed and just installed the RFK912. 2018 Ram Promaster 1500 Gas. Two things:

1. Honk on remote start (after lock unlock lock) horn beeps then starts. I want to eliminate the horn beep! It will wake the dead it's so loud, I wish it would just chirp. I think I have everything I can find turned off or to lowest setting but nothing's changed

2. Horn confirmation on unlock? I'm used to a horn chirp on cars when locking but the RFK912 makes no confirmation chirp on lock, but it does on unlocking. I want this to be reverse and a chirp honk rather than blaring horn (see above)

I don't really want to disable the horn altogether so wanted to check to see if I'm missing something in the module setups

2018 CX9 Horn Wiring and Liftgate Programming with Evo One

Hi. I have two questions about the horn and liftgate (trunk) of 2018 CX-9.

1) Is there any way to activate horn while CX-9 2018 is parked and off in a parkinglot? or does it require additional wiring? I tried searching high and low at fortin with no luck at all, as they don't have any additional information about horn wiring/activation for this model. Someone did it but they won't share the info. Here's the video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y7r-sqoNIdM

2) Can I release the Liftgate Using Evo-One while CX-9 2018 is on in either P/N modes with OEM Remote?

I tried to look for options for that but all I found was trunk output pulse or something similar.

Any help is much appreciated. The question has been here unansewered for over a year and still counting.

2018 Nissan Frontier Guide # 72031 - parking lights and horn, and lock/unlock

Successfully installed an Evo One with THAR-ONE-NIS2 and remote start is working. In the guide, it points to the hill assist button to tap into the parking lights, I do not have that button, and I could not find the plug near there to tap into it. Is there another option?

I also have no horn when arming / disarming / starting. The guide doesn't mention one, is it possible to have this?

Locking with the remote works, but unlocking can usually takes hitting the button twice. Is this normal, or do I need to triple check my connections? I ran the purple and purple-white wires to the lock/unlock wires in the driver side kick panel.

About Mazda CX-9 GT 2018 Horn Activation and Liftgate releasing?

Tried the third time and everything seems to program and work except no horn or parking lights flash when starting or unlocking/locking? The remotes work and lock/unlock and remote start and shut down like normal. This is on a 2016 Nissan Frontier. Any ideas?

No horn function on 2010 Ford F-150

I have installed EVO-All and RF642W into a 2010 Ford F-150. I wired the install following guide 34441 and flashed firmware 71.46. All functions work as expected such as remote start and lock / unlock with one exception. The horn does not sound. I tried activating the evo-alarm with lock/unlock chirps. I know the horn is controllable over the ms-can network; I hooked up a scan tool and was able to command the horn to honk. Is it possible to get the horn working with the evo-all? Thanks.

13 Frontier Not Always Locking

I have an EvoOne with RF642W remotes. Sometimes, but not every time, upon exiting the truck, when I press Lock, the remote responds positively but the locks arent triggered. It does work every time to Unlock. For locking, It works on the first press sometimes and when it doesnt, it will lock on the second or third try. I do not have a loose connection from the Evo to the door lock.

Also, does anyone know the color and location of the truck's horn wire?

Thanks, Todd

General question about evo one . Horn out put is a neg trigger. I have a siren that has a pos and neg wires .

The evo one has a neg output for siren or horn no relay is needed the question is the siren has a neg wire to chassis ground and pos wire to 12 volt . Can it be wired up like this. Siren pos to 12 volt and neg chassis ground to neg trigger on the evo one . Is this possible or will that wiring burn up the evo one. Or should i use a relay to change the ouput to a pos trigger and power it through a relay with the evo one neg trigger

Disable Unlock Confirmation Horn

I installed an EVO-ONE on my 2016 Subaru Impreza (key) using the T-Harness. Everything is working well so far but just learning the system so far.

On the Subaru, to unlock the door on the OEM fob, you hit unlock once for the drivers door and unlock a second time to unlock all doors. On the RF kit with the FTX-64-2W fobs, if I hit unlock once, the drivers door unlocks. If I hit it again, the horn honks twice and unlocks all the doors. I believe Subaru does the 1 unlock driver/2 unlock all, whereas the EVO-ONE thinks that I want to do a confirmation unlock.

Is there a way to disable the confirmation unlock? I don't know if I can flip function 12 to mode 2 so that it thinks I have a siren and will output nothing. But since I am using the T-Harness, I'm a bit worried that if I do that, it may activate or do something to the "Ignition2", whatever that may be, since I'm using the T-Harness.

The other option is to cut the horn wire, but I don't feel like digging under the dash again.

Thanks!
