Maz3 vs Maz5

I know that we've had no issues installing maz3 T harnesses into 2018-2019 Mazda 6 and cx5. Just curious if there is a difference with the new Maz5 T harness update which states for 2019+? Is there added functionality?

2019 Mazda CX-9, Evo-one, thar-maz3 T-harness

	Couple questions.

For the vehicle and hardware above should I be using Guide 68271? When I search for a guide it comes up with a few different ones that don't quite match but If I search under the Thar- maz3 it brings up this one which looks right.

If this is the right one, it says I need the Evo-one to be hardware 7 minimum. When I connect to the flash link it says I have a hardware version 4. Which seems odd as the sticker on the back has a date of 11/2019 (SN 002B04-060015) which I would think would be the latest hardware version .

In the guide it says I need 2 diodes. It does not say where to hook them up or of what value they should be.

2016 Mazda CX-9

Installing an Evo One with a THAR-ONE-MAX3. Programming goes through smoothly, decrpyts on the Flashlink fine, re-install, and remote start will not function. I have tried resetting the bypass and decrypting multiple times, checked to insure it is not in valet mode, and re-updated the firmware for both bypass and remote start twice before reinstalling to only get the same result. I have also tried lock, lock, lock and lock, unlock, lock, all times and neither works.

I have not hooked up tail lights or pin switch as they are supposed to be controlled by data bus. If this is wrong please let me know.

THAR-ONE-MAZ3 20 pin harness different from guide

I have a THAR-ONE-MAZ3 harness with an Evo One for a 2015 Mazda 3 manual push to start. I'm looking at guide 68261 and I see 2 discrepancies in the pin-out from the 20 pin harness:

First, the guide shows that there should be 5 wires going into the harness from the 20 pin connector (A20-A16). There are only 4. The 5th wire (A16) does not go into the harness. The guide also mentions this wire should be purple/yellow, but it is white in the 20 pin connector.

Second, the clutch bypass wire in the harness (A5) is the purple/yellow wire (not the white wire as shown in the guide). Seems these wires are swapped and one of them isn't

Assistance would be appreciated!

Mazda 6 headlights work on AUTO only

I have EVO-ONE-MAZ3 installed in my 2017 Mazda 6 Touring/Push to start automatic. Headlights wiring was done according instruction manual. Somehow my headlight became always ON, regardless switch position. I disconnected EVO from headlight, nothing changed. Put back and left it as is. Today, I found out that only AUTO works. So the thing is that manual mode doesn't work at all and it was affected bu the EVO module. Is there any specific feature in EVO programming which corresponds to headligh switch?

Can I cut/remove extra wires from the THAR-ONE-MAZ3 T Harness 20 Pin Connector

I just finished an EVO-ONE install on my wife's 2016.5 Mazda CX-9 using the THAR-ONE-MAZ3 T Harness which greatly simplified things. While it seems ovbious I'm still going to ask...for the 20 PIN Connector, the T Harness only uses 5 of them(6 if you include the hood pin), but then you've got 15 (14 if the hood pin is wired) colored wires hanging off it doing nothing/going no where. What other applications specifically for this vehicle would they support ? I'd like to remove them from the connector. As of right now I put electrical tape on the ends of everyone of these wires just to ensure there is no contact under the dash.

My assumption is I can remove these without issue, but if they have some potential purpose I'd keep things as is. Thanks.
2015 Mazda 6 EVO ONE/ RF642W QUESTION

Will the RF kit RF642W work as standalone Key FOB if i install it on my 2015 Mazda 6? I have the EVO One (not installed yet) with T- Harness. I wanted the extended range of the RF kit but i's rather not have to carry the OEM key FOB as well as the RF key FOB. Thanks

Remote Start Not Working: EVO-ONE & THAR-ONE-MAZ3 on Mazda CX-9 2016

I cannot get the remote start to work using an EVO-ONE with THAR-ONE-MAZ3 harness on a Mazda CX-9 2016. The EVO-ONE has been configured in Remote Starter to enable option 38.5 Lock-Unlock-Lock to remote start and the module flashes blue, 2x blue, then blue and nothing happens afterwards.

I do have the module firmware upgraded to 71.46 with options C1 and D2 enabled per the installation guide. Is it possible some of my other settings are not configured correctly?

Unable to get EVO-ONE & MAZ3 harness to work in Mazda CX5 2015 (Solved!)

I wanted to post this in case anyone was running into the same issue.

Here's an overview of my situation:

I tried everything. I can't get it to work at all. When trying to remote start nothing happens. The EVO does not sense the lock/unlock commands sent over the canbus. So there for, the car will not remote start.

(The blue light should flash when reading the lock/unlock commands over the canbus sent from the form key fob.)

I've gone though the programming process multiple times. Complete it everytime without any issues. Then ran though the Dcryptor process successfully. I meticulously followed the directions. The flashlink software always decrypted and upload fine. Tried all recent firmware within the last year. Still no dice...

After the holiday I contacted fortin support. I was given a key piece of info. When plugging the evo back into the vehicle after dcrypting, no leds should illuminate. They were cycling when I did it. Tech support told me that this means that the unit did not accept the key (even though I did have any errors. Well up until this point) So he said it's the key. I thought to myself, it the original key that came with the car, so what gives/?

Well guess what.... it was the mother f@#(<;% key!

I bought the car used, and it only came with a single key. So I had to go to the dealer and have a secondary one made. Using the new key, I had no issues programming. Everything works fantastic.

Remote start, check!
Secure takeover, big check!

But it only works with the new key, the original one still doesnt work with the evo. Very strange. If any has any ideas let me know.

Side note; I installed the same setup in my mom's CX5. Same car, only difference is that it came with two keys from the factory. No problems what so ever. The install took under an hour. Both keys work, even alternating the remote start sequence between them worked.

Key1; lock
Key2: unlock
Key1: lock

It's a bingo!

evo-one with thar one maz3 broken

ok i have connected the thar one-maz3 but once i connect the 6 pin power cable in and hold down till a solid blue shows. i plug everything in and press the on twice. once i do the car system mulfunction causing the evo to blink for eternity. more then 10 has pass and i try another way which only plug the canbus harness and i was able to program it and plug it in my computer and use the flashlink to update it. i also notice in the option menu that there is no alarm setting or remote start features. well i plug everything in and nothing works. there is an issue with the big connector. also when entering my service number i notice the one on the box is difference when it is in flashlink. 002B02233438 this one is in flashlink and the one i enter is on the back of the box
