Does CHRT7 require any splicing or tapping for a 2024 Ram?

Considering buying a CHRT7 or CHRT6 for my 2024 Ramy 1500 Rebel with OEM remote start and keyless entry. I looked at the install guide, but its not quiet clear whether it requires splicing/tapping into any wires. (especially the parking lights, ignition, CAN low and High).

Thanks

2012 Ram 2500 Diesel Manual Transmission Remote Start

I have a 2012 Ram 2500 Diesel that I want to intall a remote start in using 3X lock function.

Im going to use an evo one but I saw on the forum there is an additional clutch wire that needs to be installed? also it has to be programmed to manual mode and a sequence has to be followed in order to put it in ready mode.

Is there any documenation covering the additional clutch bypass wiring because it is not mentioned in the installation manual of the truck.

Will putting it in ready mode need me to press the lock button 3x instead of just one because I wont have an rf kit installed?

Any other relevant information that is different from a automatic transmission install would be helpful as well.

Thank you

2007 Ram 2500 Diesel Manual Transmission nothing happens

i have a 2007 2500 diesel with a manual transmission, i have the OEM key programmed but when i go to Remote start, all i hear is a relay click 3 times...also everytime i press the lock button on the key, the blue light is lighting up....

i have to make the comment, that when i program the EVO-ONE on flashlink, the "settings" that are saved on the EVO-ONE shows different than the ones i have programmed/saved. is there a "lockout" or something that i must do?

for instance: i saved the turbo timer to be on for 4 minutes on the fortin flashlink, when i check to see "current settings," it shows that it is off. and so forth.

Stops unless I hit push to start button twice

2019 Dodge Ram Tradesman 1500, new style, 5.7L, auto, Tip start, . Evo One w/THAR6 harness.Using factory lock/unlock/alarm remote, 3X lock to start then unlock to enter the truck. All soldered and heat shrunk connections.

Installed back in June, worked great until last week. Starting one week ago, would shut off when I hit the brake even tho I pushed the start button before touching the brake.

By accident I found out if I pushed the start button twice before hitting the brake, it would keep running as it had been doing the previous 6 months, what could have changed?...........Mike

**EDIT*

Now a few weeks later, it won't keep running even when I hit it twice, stops immediately when I hit the brake....any ideas?........Mike

Does EVO-ONE need a clutch wire for 2014 Ram 3500 diesel manual transmission?

After researching my options for a manual transmission I've determined the EVO-ONE coupled with the THAR-CHR6 was the best configuration for a stand alone system retaining original smart tip key. (Please correct if there is another option) According to another Q&A discussion regarding a RAM 3500 manual diesel, it was mentioned by Antoine Marion that a "clutch switch wire" has to be connected. After referring to Guide # 98581 for the EVO-ONE I did not find any information regarding the clutch switch. Shouldn't this be handled through CAN bus or does it need the clutch wire bonded with an output on the EVO-ONE?

2019 RAM 2500 Push to Start GAS

	(What I wired)

THAR-CHR6 Harness: I wired from the EVO ALL A1 to the purple and white on the Igintion BCM module. A10 to Lt.Blue of T harness, A20 to the Lt.Blue/Black of T harness, with an OHM meter I ringed them out (they are connected). I tied the red connector D3 & D1 together and soldeir together at the T harness as discribed. Can 1 LOW connection C4 from the EVO to the Yellow of CAN 1 connector on the truck. Can 1 High connection C3 from the EVO to the Brown and White of CAN 1 connector on the truck.

(plugged it the remaining plugs by the steps discribed into the EVO ALL)

Issue I have: I go though steps 1 & 2, however when I plug the 20 pin connector in the light the blue light goes out. (no lights are on).

I updated and flashed the EVO to Firmware 74.[38] Hardware inside 7.0 however, the the orange box says Recimmended firmware is not loaded 63.[02] then there is a green Update to that version aside it.

What can my issue be. Thank in advance for any help!

Thanks!

2014 ram wont start after changing vehicle type in software

Hi, i updated my device's selected truck. when i bought my evo from amazon it was setup for a 2015 ram 1500. my truck is a 2014 3500 diesel. after updating that; the truck wouldn't start anymore. I went ahead and re-did the key decrypting process and now i have the blue light flashing when i lock but the truck will not start. after that didnt work, the only thing i changed was in the software. I selected option "diesel" and i turned off the "lock unlock lock" option. other than that everything is at default. does anybody know whats wrong here?!

Evo-All, smartstart and prostart module install help please!

I recently purchased a smartstart module in hopes to add it to my prostart and EVO-ALL setup I currently have. I don't know what wires go where or if this is even possible as the data link cable seems to feed the prostart module and there is nowhere to plug in my smart start module. Sorry this is confusing I know. The wiring guide describes me plugging in two connectors to the prostart system and one four pin connector into the evoall which I can't seem to see where it goes and what all is involved. Any one help please. If I have it connected to my prostart module do I even need to connect it to. The Fortin bypass module as well?

Sequence of lights and sounds then solid red and lock (06 dodge ram 1500)

So i installed my Tharch5 with T harness into my 06 dodge ram 1500, everything worked out as it should have and i had no problems, untill trying to remote start! after pressing lock three times the module runs through each light and i can hear my truck begin the process of attempting to start then nothing. i believe it tries twice before staying on the red led a couple times then locking the doors. anyone having this or similar issues?

2018 ram 1500 eco diesel not starting after programing

Went through the programming and key bypass all correctly, all the lights and steps were correct and followed in order. Connected back to the truck closed the doors and tested and did not start. Installed per guide 74031. I’m thinking I might need a different guide but don’t know which to use. Standard key, ecodiesel, wanting to use the unit as a remote start.

Why is my dash going crazy?

I have the Fortin Chrt6 Evo All. I have it wired up correctly. It works but my dash starts to go nuts. My fuel light comes on even with a full tank, the dash lighting flickers. My check engine, air bag, tpms, traction control lights all come on. It’s just going haywire. When I unplug the unit it’s fine and everything is normal. Why is this happening?!?! It’s cold where I live and would be nice to use this without the fear of a n airbag going off randomly. Also, my truck is a 2014 Ram 1500 5.7l Hemi with tip start. These are the directions I followed.

2014-2017 Promaster, regular key. When programming hangs up at step 4, blue light stays solid does not turn off when ignition turned to run. Some of the other troubleshooting mentions ensuring that the yellow wire, A1, has power when the ignition is on. But, in this install guide, yellow wire A1 is not used.

When programing, vehicle starts as soon as key is turned to ON position

For a 2007 Dodge 2500 Diesel. Had system installed and working correctly, but after a few starts found that I could no longer manually start the truck with the key. Reprogrammed unit, and it worked again for a few more starts, then blew the 2 amp ingition fuse. Replaced the fuse, pulled wiring and checked to ensure all connections were good. Reinstalled. Now, when I try and program the EVO the truck starts as soon as I turn the ingition to the On position with the key. I can turn it off and complete programing by pressing the lock button, but if I try to remote start it it blows the fuse again.

2016 RAM 3500 CANBUS Problem

Today I tried installing the Evo-All to a 2016 Ram 3500 diesel using the T-harness. I made it to step 7 and could not get past that.

In step 7 it says “No key = Red” and “Key in= Red and blue”. Whenever i put the key in, the red and blue will stay on for a few seconds then only the blue will stay on. Is this supposed to happen?

I then put it into the RUN position but it will not flash rapidly. If I put it back into OFF, the blue will go back to solid.I checked the CANBUS wires multiple times and made sure they were at the right spot. I even switched them. In step 8 it says “ignition off= red” and “ignition on= red and blue off”. I dont see a red light after step 7 but the blue does turn off when the ignition is on. One thing I did notice though was that the CAN-HIGH wire Grey/White Pin6 on the guide is a different color on my truck; its sort of a tan color but it is still pin 6. The yellow wire DOES match up. Would this have to do with anything?

I followed the intructions on how to test the CANBUS connection and ignition(https://fortin.ca/en/qa/403/programming-evo-all). The ignition is good but whenever I put it in RUN, the blue light will not flash so im sure its a CANBUS problem i just cannot figure out what it is. I also tried resetting the module and it did not work. I updated it to the latest firmware and even dropped it down to the one it says on the guide but that did not work either. I also tried waiting in between the steps and no luck. Any help is appreciated.

2016 Ram 2500 wait to start is not working?

I have a 2016 Ram 2500 Diesel with a EVO-ALL and T-harness being used as a standalone Lock 3X remote starter. Everything is working correctly except for when remote starting it doesn't wait for the "wait to start" light to turn off. I'm using the recomended firmware 74.38 and option D1.3 Diesel mode is turned on. I don't see any option for a start delay. Suggestions?
