Hello. When I install a remote start with Fortin on new Prado, pressing the start-stop button helps prevent the engine from stalling when I press the brake. However, on Kia and Hyundai, pressing the start-stop button doesn't help. The engine still stalls when I press the drake. What's the cause?

Just installed a evo all thar for4 kit on my 2009 ford fusion the install went well and the unit remote starts but will not turn off with the brake pedal and allow vehicle take over,the only way that I can turn it off is via the button press sequence used to start it.

Looking at the wiring diagram i think the only wire that I had to splice together was the 2 yellow wires unless im missing something which is entirely possible.

Installed an EVO-ONE with Thar-One-Hon8 harness and a 3x Lock Start on a 2019 Honda HR-V Push Start with/ Steering Lock.

As per Guide #93381, using C1, D6, D2, 38-2 options.

Car starts OK with 3x Lock, however dash shows "keyless entry system problem" message.

I am opening door with remote Unlock button, then push START button 1 time, then push brake.

Also tried to open door by just by touching the handle, but getting the same error message.

When no remote start is used, there is no any error message.

Any suggestion ?

hi... i have installed a evo all with a crimestopper remote start in a honda hrv 2022 push to start (takeover mode) I have flashed multiple evo all trying to understand the problem as I have checked all the connections and they are perfect as indicated by the installation guide. The problem is that when I enter the vehicle and press once the button turns off (taking into account that it does recognize the smart key) but if I press it twice in a row it does not turn off and I can drive it normally, but a message comes out that says Keyless Start System Problem, And if I turn the vehicle off and turn it on normally, the message still appears. Any solution for this problem or a special software version for it. Thank you for your help.

Have such problem’s:

1) Almost always (7/10 remote starts) after successful remote start have keyless access system indicator after press and release the Push-to-Start button once

2) and I think as a continuation’s of the 1st problem do not work multi-view rear camera (also 360 view) and blind spot system. When I turn on reverse gear I dot alarm on display: rear view camera do not work when engine do not start. So only stop and start engine again fix it.

I have a 2019 Subaru Ascent push to start. I installed the Evo One with the plug and play harness. everything was working fine...

I could activate idle mode by:

While vehicle is running, Activate Remote Start...Lights flash...Push the PTS Button once, orange light on PTS button would come on then off... get out and lock the doors...

Then Idle mode take over:

I would come back to the vehicle... unlock the doors... push the PTS button once, orange light would come on then off... press the brake pedal and then be able to go without shutdown)

I don't know what happened, but out of no where I can no longer do the take over after initiating idle mode.... when i press the PTS button nothing happens... no light comes on then off.... and when I press the brake the car shuts down....

I have tried reprogramming the module.... ive tried re adding the key to the module... same outcome. I am able to take over after a normal remote start... but not when I activate idle mode....

I have an Evo One starts and stop from FTX64- 2W, tried it in two different vehicles same result. It's not recognizing key take over or 12v to black wire in 20pin connector to shut down. I read in a post, Derek mentioned wiring in a relay from the brakes that would send ground signal to the hood pin wire. Sounds like it will work. Will it have any adverse effect while driving, sending ground signal to the hood pin while driving if the key is not being recognized as being switched on?

Is there still no alternative to having the engine stop when the door is open on 2018-2021 Accords? Why is the bypass not using the same path as the remote start that is installed on all Accords?

Every Honda Accord trim has remote start already, you just need the 5 button key fob to use it. Would it not be possible for the bypass unit to simply use the factory remote start protocol so that takeover would function as intended? Can the bypass not simply scan the canbus for the 3x lock signals and then send the same remote start signal as the factory remote does? This would easily solve the takeover situation for this car.

It is interesting becuase without that fucntion, its simply a nicer remote start solution to buy the factory 5 button fob and have it programed.

However when I open the door the car shuts down. I specifically bought the THAR-ONE-HON8 harness to prevent this.

I recently bought a 2014 Mazda 3 GT auto with this remote start module preinstalled. To start the car, simple, lock-unlock-lock sequence. Now when I hop in the car, I was told that without pushing the brake, I am supposed to double press the start/stop button and then I can press the brake and continue to shift into gear and go. However, after I double press the start/stop button, I press the brake and the car shuts off. Is there something I am doing incorrectly here?

First let me say, great product, easy install. I have the EVO-ONE in all my vehicles.

I removed my EVO-ONE w/ Linkr LT2 from my 2014 Civic (Standard-Key) and would like to install it in my 2019 Ridgeline. According to the instruction, I need a EVO-ONE manufactured after 2019 and a THAR-ONE-HON8.

My EVO-ONE has a stamp date of 05/2019 - will that work?

When will the THAR-ONE-HON8 be available?

Although the Ridgeline already has a RS, I want to use the EVO-ONE with the Linkr LT2. Plus I plan on adding a proximity sensor to protect the contents at the back truck bed.

i recently installed evo-all stand alone with T-harness Thar-GM6 and ASCL6 Every thing seems to program normally with out any problem but when i go back and check functionality i find severals problems

#1. Car can still be driven away if i dont have my keys on me. (Unlock with phone --> open door --> press brake --> put car in gear --> drive away)

here is a problem when i try to shut off the engine and press push-to-start button it shuts the engine but it stays in accesory mode and keeps telling me it could not find key and tells me to press brake and push push-to-start button to restart engine. To my surpise it starts without key again ( i have to press two times to shut it off) other wise accesory will still be on even if i get out of the car and lock some body can get in and start without keys (not to mention it will drain the batterty

#2. When i try to open trunk with one button it opens glass and trunk lid at the same time i can't seem to separate those two commands

question #1 isn't it suppouse to shuts off without key (sercurity/safety reason)??

#2 did i miss something?

#3 what can be done to separate opening glass from trunk lid (put them on two separate Aux channel)

may be i need to cut and reconnect C5 (brown wire) to Grey 26-Pin plug pin 23 (green wire) because its connected to 27-Pin Blue Connector pin 22 ?

Hi everyone,

I have a Mazda CX5 and installed Fortin Evo One with Thar-One-Maz3 T-harness. Everything works fine except:

I remote started the car by 3x locks, get in the car and press Start button (without pressing brakr pedal) then drive, i-stop feature did not work anymore. I-stop works as normal if I press brake pedal to stop engine then press Start button and drive.

Is there anything I can do or configure to make i-stop works after performing "take over" procedure?

Key takeover works but sometimes its delayed. Like 10 minutes. While driving it will take over. Same with brake stop, sometimes works sometimes doesn't. Connection to brake wire seems fine, any known configuration or firmware issues that can cause this?

I've had fortin remote start for about 8 months, while I was driving it suddenly the dash went flashing. And I stoped turn off the truck and started it again normally. Then when I went to try to remote start it everything worked until the key take over. When i pressed on the brake its just shuts off now.

Normally what I do is remote start x3Lock, then unlock and close door, insert key and turn to run position, and then wait 5 seconds and then press brake pedal and shift and go. But it has suddenly stopped working. Has anyone else had a similar situation.

The parking lights come on, I have all the recommended settings for my truck. I have updated it to its recomended.

I'd like to put an EVO-ONE in my '12 Toyota Avalon. If I install it with the RFK411 (I assume correct kit?) how does the take over from remote start fob to factory fob work? Does the car start then shut off when I open the door...then I restart to drive off? If that RF kit isn't correct which one do I need? Directions didn't seem to include PTS vehicles.

After correct install and programming, takeover wouldn't happen and the vehicle wasn't able to be turned off until the timeout period had completed. When I pressed on the brake, I could see that the blue light was flashing letting me know there was CAN activity, however the Evo-One wasn't interpreting it correctly? I followed a few posts and found this one. The temporary solution was Connecting the Black [A11] wire to the Green wire on Pin 53 of the 82-Pin Black Connector located in the in the driver's side kick panel (labeled connector "1" on the guide). There are two Green wires connecting to Pin 53, either will work, however there are a bunch of other Green wires in the 82-Pin connector, so make sure you're grabbing the right one.

Stats: Evo-One, S/N:002B04 028689, 76.51 firmware, Niro 2019, HEV Push-to-Start.

I would like to know if there is another solution, possibly a different firmware that I could use instead of messing with the brakes on the vehicle. Also, what is the function of the Black [A11] wire? Is it just a trigger for engine shutdown for the Evo, or is it something else?

After remote start, I enter the car with the smart key but when I press the push start button nothing happens to indicate the takeover happened (light on push to start button off), if I press the brakes nothing happens (but I can drive) but if I want to turn the car off, I press the button and it says to press the pedal to turn on (but the car is on and I can drive). No matter what I do (press repeatedly, press brakes, put in drive), I can't turn off. I believe the take over is only happening after the 15 minutes of the remote start is over. One detail is that only then my headlights if on auto mode will turn on (I can turn on manually). Any ideas? Evo one, Niro 2019, latest firmware loaded.

I have an EVO-ALL installed with an AstroStart remote start. The car is sucessful remote started but the key takeover doesn’t work. I turn the key to ON position and if I touch the break pedal, the engine stop.

Is it a program option problem or it could be a wiring problem (ex : pats wire)?

The remote starter has been installed by the Hyundai dealer.

Key takeover not sending update to RF642W keyfob

2009 Honda Pilot, Evo One, RF642W. All functions good, remote range good, but for some reason, key takeover is not updating the key fob. I've tested on both remotes. The green led blinks, indicating the remote start is active even after unlocking, inserting key, and driving away. The green led on the fob continues to blink while driving. All other functions are working, i.e., doors lock on remote takeover and brake pedal. A bit annoying to have the led blink and also concerned that this will drain the remote battery prematurely. The only way I can get the led to turn off is to press [-] twice to request status. In that scenario, the fob beeps twice indicating 'disarmed', and then the led turns off. I have to do this procedure every time I use remote start.

I recently upgraded my compustar CM7000 + Evo-All setup for an EVO-ONE since the take over only works with an Evo-One. Old wiring was 100 stripped and redone according to the Evo-One guide. Everything seems to work fine except for one thing : the take-over procedure. At first, as soon as the driver door was opened, the engine would shut off. I was advised that the take-over only works on the 4.11 firmware. After downgrading to the 4.11 firmware and re-programming the module (and re-decrypting with decryptor), the engine keeps running when the driver side door is open (which is a good thing), but when pressing on the brake pedal, the engine shuts down almost every time. Only twice in about 20 remote starts did it not shut down and the take over succeded I followed the take over procedure that is described in the guide (at the end of the guide), but it fails almost every time. Here is step by step what I do :

1. Stay 10 feet away from the car and lock it

2. Send the remote start command. (Which always succeeds)

3. Walk toward the car, unlock it with the OEM remote (also tried remote starter remote and button on door handle), enter the car (with the OEM keyfob/remote on me) and close the door and make sure to never touch the brake pedal while doing so.

4. Press on the PTS button once. (At this point, the headunit (radio) powers on, the steering wheel lock disengages, etc)

5. I press on the brake pedal and as soon as I do so, the engine shuts down.



Only as soon as the brake pedal is pressed does the engine die. I made sure all options in the module reflecting this behavior were disabled. I also tried pushing the PTS button more than once, but to no avail. All subsequent presses on the button do nothing at all. What am I missing? I am hoping to make this work as the take over is the only reason why I purchased the Evo-One. Any help is most welcome! All the wiring was checked twice with a multimeter and it is wired as expected.

installed Evo All & Remote start with T harness as per wiring instructions in 2009 Ram 1500 5.7L. Everything works except key takeover after remote start...starter kill is active when key is turned to start, brakes don’t disengage starter, blue antenna lights keep flashing while driving, vehicle is operable and drivable in remote start mode. The only way to shut the vehicle off is to use the fob start button to turn off remote start. Any insight to this would be appreciated.

1- I just saw that the takeover is now supported on 2017 Civic PTS with an EVO-ONE. Before modifying the wiring and updating the EVO-ONE firmware, I would like to make sure it really works as expected... Anybody tested it?

2- When I installed the EVO-ONE, I followed the guide #57791 (rev 20170425). What you happen if I update the EVO-ONE firmware as stated in the latest guide (#80011 rev 20180913) WITHOUT modifying the current wiring?

2016 Mazda 6 EVO-ALL + MY-START - Key Takeover Possible?

I am planning to install an EVO-ALL and a MY-START into my 2016 Mazda 6 soon. The only thing that is puzzling me is why a key-takeover is not possible when using the THAR-MAZ1 harness, but is possible without it.

Looking at both guides, I don't understand the differences. I can see that the direct wire guide uses "Ignition 2" on the 32-pin white connector, and the THAR-MAZ1 guide uses "Data-key" on the 32-pin white connector. This seems to be the only differences in the two guides, and I can't imagine that this is what affects the key-takeover functionality.

If I am understanding this correctly, key-takeover is only possible if the EVO-ALL can detect an unlock signal when the vehicle is running. How can the EVO-ALL detect this signal when it is wired directly compared to when it is wired using the harness?

If, for whatever reason, the EVO-ALL cannot detect the OEM remote's unlock signal when the vehicle is running, what about the MY-START? This is an RF-KIT, which means that it's signals should be unaffected by whether the vehicle is running or not. In this case, if the vehicle was unlocked with this, would it still shutdown once the doors were opened?

Any help will be greatly appreciated!

Evo-Key: does a proper transponder key need to be in the ignition to drive or would a key that doesn't have a chip work?

We have a Toyota Matrix 2005 and it's transponder key only works intermitantly. I'm considering installing a tansponder bypass like this one (and maybe a remote start while i'm at it) with the hopes that it would fix this by sending a valid code to the immobilizer every time but I'm unclear how the module behaves once a key is placed in the ignition. If, for example, a key is placed in the ignition but it couldn't read a transponder code from it would it cut the engine? Could you still drive the car? Would installing a bypass potientionally solve our issue?

After installing an Evo-Key/Evo-One and it is properly set up with a transponder code from a valid key, does a proper transponder key need to be in the ignition to drive the car or would a key that is cut properly but maybe doesn't have the transponder work as well?

CX9 Starts when doors are open

I have a 2018 Mazda CX9 with the EVO ONE installed using the T harness. The vehicle starts without any issue using the OEM remote. The only concern I have is that it also starts while the doors are open and im putting my child in his car seat and I accidentally tapped lock button on the remote three times. Doesn’t the EVO ONE sense that the vehicle is disarmed and the doors are open and it should not start the vehicle?

Unable key take over after successful remote start BMW 1 Series

EVO-ONE and INT-BMW.2 installed on 2008 BMW 1 series (135i, E82, PTS).

Ready mode is sucessfully set. Remote start is sucessful via OEM fobs or Drone (3G).

After remote start, user unlocks with OEM fob and enters car and then shuts door. Press foot brake and car will shutdown. Inserting key fob or keeping fob in pocket has no affect.

Shouldn't the user be able to unlock, enter and drive away?

UPDATE:

I looked at the guide for INT-BMW.2 for EVO-ALL and noticed the 'unlock' input from stand alone RS to EVO-ALL. The INT-BMW.2 with EVO-ONE diagram does not have this. When I provide an unlock signal to the INT-BMW.2 (ground pulse), I can sucessfully execute key take over. So the unnlock signal must be missing.

The INT-BMW.2 and EVO-ONE have a data link connection, I assume this provieds the unlock signal in this setup. However, I am not getting this to work. Is there a configuration setting to set? Do I need to set the Data Link options to Fortin?

When comparing EVO MAZT1 with EVO ALL it shows that Takeover is not available with MAZT1.

Is it the T-harness that conflects with the feature? and will that apply when using EVO ONE with THAR-MAZ1 in 2017 Mazda CX9 Push to start with 3x OEM remote start?

In March 2017, I was told by Fortin techs that key takeover was not supported with the push-to-start version of the 2017 Subaru Forester. After remote starting the car, opening any door would shut down the motor and it would have to be restarted as a security measure. I have decided to postpone my purchase of a remote started because of that.

When I check on Fortin's web site now and search my car model, there is a green checkmark in the table on the "key takeover" line, both for EVO-ONE and EVO-ALL.

Was there an upgrade that really makes it work or is this just a mistake in the database?

Hi sir , Hyundai Azera 2014 starting very well and we enter the car without shut down but when we push PTS twice just ACC appears not run just when press break paddle the car shut down
