2024 Grand Highlander Dcryptor Procedure not working

Hi,

Evo One 2019 with the QR code, firmware 88.37. I have the THAR-TOY16 harness installed but when I try to follow the Dcryptor Programming Procedure, it fails at step 5.

1. I plug in the 6 pin connector holding the programming button. I get the flashing LEDs as described.

2. I release when it's blue and it remains solid blue.

3. I plug in the rest of the connectors.

4. I press the Push-to-Start twice to turn on the ignition and the blue LED goes out and then comes back on flashing rapidly.

5. I press the Push-to-Start once to turn off the ignition and instead of the blue LED continuing to flash rapidly, it goes out and doesn't come back on.

evonone toy16 in 2024 Tacoma Manual transmission. when the truck sits for about 10 mins it will not start remotely.

i installed this evo one back in Nov. of 2025. when i originally looked into installing the remote starter i asked tech support if the evo one could do a 24 tacoma manual trans. and was told it was no problem. now when i look up the vehicle it shows that the evoone will only work on an automatic transmission for this application.

is there a known issue with the firmware for this vehicle for manual transmission?

any info is greatly appreciated

Following on a question from Sep 13, 2019: Toyota Tacoma Evo one installed but will not start or blink after being programmed.

Fortin Support stated that the factory remote can be used to start the engine by pressing the lock button three times when the driver's door lock signal (ground signal with a relay) is connected to the center pin of the shock sensor using remote start firmware 0.82.

Does this still work? Is there a firmware version avaliable that can do this?

sienna 2015 starts for 3-5 seconds and turns off. using t harness from MPC and RF442

Sienna shuts off in 3-5 seconds, using a T-harness and RF442 kit. I only did a plug and play no splicing of any wires and flashed using the flashlink 4. Second issue, My RF keys start and remote start both my lexus and sienna, installed back to back and somehow they pick up on both signals. Need help, do not know where to start.

My Evo one remote start is working fine but I noticed Red light is blinking. Is it normal that it blinks?

Hood safety pin installed and checked and mechanically it works the way it supposed to, but in the Evo start app shows as light red doesn't matter if the car is locked or unlocked armed is disarmed the color of the hood in the app doesn't change, when I open the hood the app show the front passenger side as open, (in fact when I open any door the app only shows the front passenger side as open) due to this the car doesn't remote start, can locked and unlocked, armed and disarmed the car with no problems

23 tundra Everything work except i get no flashing lights to confirm remote start works. Remote start works open close works trunk opens i can turn on the miror heaters and defrosters. And ascl7 telementry works and tells me remote start is runing door status ect. When i lock the car using the remote start the horn beeps which i love cuz i cant hear the factory remotes quiet beep throug the closed window.

Any ways reflashed the module 3 times once in pro mode and twice in wizard mode. Is there a setting needing to changed or a wire that i need to check??

No heating/air when remote starting using EVO-START

So I just got the full EVO-START installed in my 2018 Toyota 4Runner this monday and whenever I remote start the vehicle, there's no heating/AC/air coming out until I get inside the vehicle, put the key in, and then move the heating/AC knob.

I already had an EVO-START 2 on my previous vehicle and heating would turn on with the remote start.

hello I have installed an evo one 942 with a T harness toy14 on a 2023 toyota rav4 hybrid. It was working a couple time and during my final checks the remote starter will not start vehicle. It accepts the signal, locks and unlock vehicle but won't start or turn ignition on. when I push the start button on remote the park lights come on for a few seconds and then nothing. the red led does flash when locked and remote started. Help Please

Hello. I am trying to program this myself after spending a lot of time and money over the years getting it reprogrammed as it seems to lose memory when major service is done. I assume that is likely a Toyota issue that can't be helped.

I have about 6 to 8 hours in trying to make this work with little success but am concerned about all the wear and tear on the clips and wires from taking it in and out trying to get it to work so its time to ask for help.

Perhaps verifying which manual is it that I should be using please and thanks. The instructions seems simple but I am missing something. I did just notice that all the instructions mentioned modules made after 2019 and over while mine is 2016 despite my Rav being a 2019. Was it obsolete when installed or is that irrelevant?

I installed an EVO-ALL on my 2012 Toyota Prius V (Hybrid, push to start) in standalone mode. When I try to remote start the car using the OEM LOCK-LOCK-LOCK sequence, the red LED on the EVO-ALL turns on, waits a few seconds, and then flashes four times. The car doesn't start, and the dashboard doesn't turn on either. Additionally, I've noticed that the security red light was flashing during the start sequence. The serial number is 001A07 076831. I've double-checked the wiring and FlashLink programming, and everything seems correct to me.

Can someone help me?

I have 23 tundra. do i realy have to cut the pink and splice the purple wires on 64 pin connector?? Is it so i can use oem remote while remote start is active and if thats the case can i just use the fortin add on remotes so i dont have to cut wires i dont mind having to have 2 key fobs if it means not having to cut factory wires ive had 2 key fobs since my first remote start years ago so it doesnt bother me.

I’ve reflashed, followed the instructions to a tea and had zero issues but won’t remote start.

I have looked at all the question and answers with no luck. I update the firmware on the Evo-one, re-programmed every way possible with different firmware’s, re-programmed the mycar module, I’ve used with and without the little harness that comes with the mycar module, see if the Evo receives a lock/unlock signal while on (nothing), checked if the module is plugged in the right slot. I send the signal from the mycar app, turns green and then red for every option. The app shows signal, battery voltage, gps location, but it won’t accept any command. Please help!! (Can it be a defective device?) It worked before and all of a sudden stopped working.

After the failure of evo-all, I tried evo-ride... It was programmed (the LED blinked 10 times), but when connecting the mass on the blue wire (GVR), nothing happens... only the beep sound and nothing else - by pressing at this time on the start-stop button, nothing changes.

3 days ago one module did not work on 2013 Avalon. Today the 2015 Avalon arrived and neither that module nor the other module worked for this one either... Then CAN transferred the wires to a 30-wire connector and both modules started working (???). Maybe they have a standard autostart and it interferes or what?

2011 Sienna crank, no start when COLD

Hi support team,

My 2011 Sienna G-key start all OK in summer, but it doesn't work when WINTER is coming. S/N 002B04 241048 connected by THAR-ONE-TOY9 (just plug and play). I did connect 2 wires for sliding doors by soldering and crimper (no T-taps).

Already upgrade to latest firmware. Tried TACHNESS ONLY but no hope, still CRANK but NO START. I'm connect with RFK442 remote.

It happened to me last year, same issue. Work fine in the summer but when it's cold out there, the vehicle just CRANK NO START. When I get into the vehicle and remote start it, leave the key next to the key cylinder, it start right up every single time.

Moreover, I've re-checked the wiring connection. There are "CUT" at the SILL data (D4&D6) and the AUTOLIGHT (D1&D3). Do I need to do anything about these "CUTs" when I'm using THARTOY9?

Hello, I need assistance. I don't have a transponder in my Toyota Yaris 2007. I have two black car keys, one of which is a 3-button remote. I selected Function 2-4 and Function 20-2. I installed the "without keyless" 2007 Yaris mod. I disconnected the yellow wires and connected the white one to the start input. During programming, I used the 3-button key, but the red light remains steady. The car isn't working; it only activates the any lights, and the lights flash irregularly. So I just installed evo all on a 2018 rav4 push to start with a t harness. 3x lock is working but when I try the rf kit (rfk942) i dont get any response. I paired the remotes correctly…I got the 1x blue light flash confirmation while pairing. Is there something I need to do in the evo all program options?

Also, if I change the options, do I need to program the evo all to the vehicle again?

I have a 2005 toyota tacoma without a transponder key amplifier, the installation guide said that I should connect the A10 terminal to Rx and the T20 terminal to Tx, but I do not have these cables, because I do not have the 7-pin connector of the transponder, where I should connect them ? What I see is that the guide for a 2010 Toyota Tacoma with type G key is very similar to the 2005 that I have, even down to the ignition cable colors.

I just installed an evo one in a 2001 Highlander. Vehicle runs for about 8 seconds then shuts down and flashes the parking lights four times which means no tach signal. I have programmed the module to tachless. I set tachless sensitivity -3 because starter did grind with default setting. I have reflashed the module a couple of times and double triple checked all my wiring what am i missing. Why would it flash no tach signal if I have it set to tachless mode option 20 selection 2. Please help I have no idea where to go from here

Yesterday i followed the steps and car was able to start with factory remote 3 lock on my 2019 RAV4 PUSH START using Toy13 Harness. Today i was planning to add Evo start and it is not following even key start option nor Evo start 2. Light is yellow/amber on evo one module. Please let me know what i am missing. Evo one serial number is 002B04 248000.

2012 tundra. Been in service for a year with evo one and rfk942 kit. Suddenly stopped remote starting. no parking light flashes. locks and unlocks. blue led flashes on evoall. when remote starting, red led comes on, then yellow. instrument cluster illuminates. half second later red turns off. one second later yellow turns off. No parking light flashes. no reattempts.

new brake switch was installed just as a precautionary. hood switch was bypassed as a precautionary.

verified firmware and options are still in module.

any ideas?

I install fortin evo-all on LC200 (EURO) (standalone--408261). I release the programming button to blue. I connect the rest of the connectors. I turn on the ignition, the blue goes out and after a while the red starts flashing. Wire colors don't match either.

3-locks-to-start stopped working after module flashing / added RF kit

Hi,

My evo-all used to working with the OEM key 3-locks-to-start before.

Then I bought the RM 942 RF KIT.

Flashed the evo-all to 78.70, and the antenna to 1.05 already.

I flashed my evo-all to match my vehicle:

* Toyota Sienna 2020

* Standalone installation

* Standard connection

* push to start

* No alarm

Enabled the H&H2 option and paired the RF kit keys successfully, with the hlpe from https://www.fortin.ca/en/qa/121700/rm-942-buttons-have-wrong-functions

Followed the DCRYPTOR PROGRAMMING PROCEDURE. All leds are off at step 5 indicating it's already programmed.

After all these, it seems everything are connected and paired correctly. The lock/unlock buttons on the RF kit work properly.

BUT neither OEM key 3 locks nor RF kit key remote start ([+] + lock) could remote start the car. After pressing the OEM key 3 locks, I can hear the evo-all or some car electric component making the small clicking sounds, and the car turn signal lisghts had a couple of follow-up flashing, which seems to me like the evo-all is indeed carrying out the remote start procudre. But car does nothing, no cranking sound at all.

Did I miss anything again?

One weird thing to me is that I think I installed my evo-all with a T-harness, but in the Flash Manager software, after I select TOYOTA, SIENNA 2020, PUSH-TO-START, STANDALONE, there is only STANDARD CONNECT option but on T-HARNESS CONNECTION option in the connection type selector. Is this the problem?
