I have an old automatic kia rio (2002) that has virtually zero security features, can i set up my Evo-one to just remote start, just connecting the main wires to the ignition cylinder harness i get crank but no start, i am assuming that its because of another feature that i havent hooked up, is there a version of firmware that only controls starter, ignition, ACC? Or am i just wrong in assuming possibly? Theirs no chipped key or any features in the car itself i can find that would prevent function.

Hello,

Yes you can use a evo one as a analog starter as long as the vehicle is automatic transmission, simply load any firmware into the bypass and set option 20.2 tachless.

From there simply hardwire everything and pair remotes.

Best regards

Is it possible to wire or program it in a way that it runs with the remote start only or is a switch/keyed ignition my only option, i got it running and working. Its for my own project car and i have a 3D printed replacement cover for the steering column that doesnt have a hole for the ignition cylinder. Im more or less just bored and giving myself something to do lol.
