EVO One with T Harness 2019 Hyundai Tucson Standard Key Not Starting

Question

The programming appears to have worked correctly. I got the flashing red, yellow, and blue lights initially, then the solid blue light. I turned the ignition to run and got the rapidly flashing blue light. And when I turned the ignition off, the blue light turned off as expected. However, when I try to remotely start the car, it functions the same as it did prior to the install. When the lock button on the remote is pressed the first time, the parking lights flash once, and when it is pressed the 2nd and 3rd times, the horn honks (not chirps) each time. It appears the remote is not being recognized. Any help appreciated. Thank you.

Hello,

Remote start from the OEM remote is not supported for this vehicle. As stated on the Fortin website an rf kit is required.

My car has a standard key ignition. Are the RF kits compatible? Do they have a place to fold the standard key into like the OEM remotes do?

Rf kit will not replace your oem key, you will need to carry both remotes when operating the vehicle.
