2005-2010 Toyota Tacoma remote start using factory remote

Following on a question from Sep 13, 2019: Toyota Tacoma Evo one installed but will not start or blink after being programmed.

Fortin Support stated that the factory remote can be used to start the engine by pressing the lock button three times when the driver's door lock signal (ground signal with a relay) is connected to the center pin of the shock sensor using remote start firmware 0.82.

Does this still work? Is there a firmware version avaliable that can do this?

Hello,

3x lock is not officially supported for this generation of tacoma, rf kit is required.

Yes with remote starter firmware 0.82, if the center pin of the shock sensor port is grounded 3 times it will initiate a remote start sequence.
