Flashlink Updater Bricked

0 votes
Hi,

I was trying to update the firmware of my Flashlink Updater v5 from 4.8 to 4.11. I followed the procedure in the Flashlink Manager screen but disconnecting and connecting the Flashlink Updater, the progress stuck at 1% and the Flashlink Manager closed while the blue and green lights were blinking. Now the Flashlink Updater is bricked and it cannot be recognized by the Flashlink Manager. Please let me know what can I do to get it back?

Thank you!

Looking at the s/n it shows the firmware inside is 0.00, if the update has failed then in this case you will need to repalce the flash link updater as there is no remote fix to rectify the failed flash.

Best regards.
But I followed the procedure by the software and it rendered my Flashlink Updater bricked, it's not user fault. Do you have any support for that matter?
There are mutlple variables that can lead to this happening such as the USB port used not supplying enough power, having an evo-all or evo-one module plugged into the flasher while trying to update it, internet connectitivty issues etc.

In this case I suggest you reach out to your point of purchase to see what can be done.

Best regards
I bought this Flashlink Updater and the EVO-All module via Amazon and I cannot reach the seller.

The USB port / cable was working normally as I could access the EVO-All module before the firmware update. There were no module connected to the Flashlink Updater at the time of firmware update. The internet connection was normal as I can log in and the Flashlink Manager could detect the current firmware and asked for a firmware update to 4.11.

I really appreciate if you can propose a solution for me. I have experience in software QA and electronics, so I can go the low level unbrick steps if you can provide that.

Best regards,
