Relay clicks 3 times when releasing brake pedal while driving.

Question

When I release the brake pedal while driving I hear a relay clicking 3 times. This happens intermittently. Some days it happens every time I release the brake pedal, some days it doesn't happen at all. This never happened for years after the original install, but started happening a few months ago.

Installed on 2013 Mustang GT, manual transmission, with option 33.2 enabled.

EVO One with THAR-FOR1 t-harness.

Hello,

Please try connecting the large pink wire from the main 6 pin connector to the yellow wire coming off the 20 pin connector of the evo and then re test to see if still does it.

Should be fine to just connect the 2 together.

If I wanted to add a diode for safety, which direction would it be installed in?

It was too cold to work on this over the winter so I am just looking into it again now. Gotta get this fixed, the clicking is driving me nuts.

You would want the band facing away from the evo-one on the large pink wire so it can send current out and connect purple/yellow before it so that both wires can send/receive ignition status. As mentioned previously though, it is not needed.

Any ideas on why this would start happening? I have had this remote started installed for years and just recently it started doing this 3 relay clicks thing. Could the Fortin module have been damaged from a boost or something?

This can sometimes happen due to ignition status between the bypass and remote starter when using option 33.2. Connecting them analog resolves that issue.
