EVO-AUDT2 in 2022 Q7 wont program key or recognize key fobs when T-Harness installed

Issue:
Vehicle does not detect key fobs when THAR-AUD2 T-harness is installed

Hardware:

• EVO-ALL

• THAR-AUD2 T-harness (from EVO-AUDT2 kit)

Symptoms:
When the THAR-AUD2 T-harness is installed, the vehicle displays the message:

“Remote Control Key. Hold back of key against designated area.”

The vehicle will not start.

Troubleshooting Performed:

• Placed working fob (with battery) in the cup holder (designated area) → vehicle still does not start

• Second fob is attached to the harness antenna with the battery removed

• Attempted EVO-ALL programming procedure (waited for LED to turn blue) → no change

• Tried starting with working fob in hand and in cup holder → same message

• Disconnected EVO-ALL module from the T-harness → issue still occurs

• Removed the T-harness completely → vehicle immediately detects both fobs and starts normally

• Reinstalled T-harness → issue returns

Key Observation:
The issue occurs solely from installing the THAR-AUD2 T-harness, even with the EVO-ALL module disconnected. Removing the harness restores normal key detection and vehicle operation.

Request:
Please advise if this is a known issue with the THAR-AUD2, a compatibility concern, or if additional configuration or wiring checks are recommended.

Hello,

If the red connector is not plugged into the evo the vehicle will not start normally.

There are no known issues with the audt2 harness at this time.

Make sure you are fully seating the connectors when installing the harness and fully locking the tab down. Pay close attention too because i believe 2 of them on that BCM are interchangable.

Thank you. Based on the instructions in the programming procedure, I thought I should only be connecting the 4-pin data link to do the programming and then plug in the rest of the connectors once that was complete.
